In his prepared text for a speech he is delivering today at the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, Sen. Rand Paul (R.-Ky.) said to illegal aliens who want to live and work in the United States: “[W]e will find a place for you.” Paul also said he envisions today’s illegal aliens becoming additional “taxpayers.” “Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers,” said Paul. “Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers,” said Paul."

Low-end laborers—which comprise the bulk of illegal aliens—pay no net taxes at all, and in fact cost us money through their use of food stamps, Medicaid, and other government gravy.

When even Rand Paul is on the wrong side of the rigged debate, it´s time to switch off the lights.

Nobody in DC wears a cape. Never expect a politician to come to the rescue. They all get corrupted sooner rather than later. Either Ted Cruz will be vilified by his own party to the point of exhaustion, or he will quit and go home after a couple of terms.

Cripes, he´s got the liberal talking points down to a science. Were it possible, I would smack him with a gauntlet and let the chips fall where they may. He is a disgrace to this Government, a disgrace to his military background, a LIAR because he WILL NOT protect and defend our Constitution. Arizona, PLEASE...Jon has obviously lost what little of his mind has remained. Call him back, put him out to pasture, and send someone who understands what it means to "Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America." John McCain, you are a disgrace.....

When he keeps getting reelected, guess whose fault that is? We are reaping what we have sown. Shame on Rand Paul, joining in this obscene panderfest.

The first time I said that Rand Paul was a RINO, (or RUBIO can be used also), someone chastised me and said something like I was some kind of mental case because of what I said.

I said what I said because I had already heard about Rand Paul being the latest RUBIO, (or RINO), having signed on to the task of pushing this travesty upon the good citizens of the United States. So who is the mental case now?

Now Paul is using the same tired rhetoric that everyone else is. Guess they got to him too.

Illegals will NOT PAY TAXES. If they do become citizens, well, they´ll join the 47% that currently don´t pay fed tax as well (and state!). You know, a bunch of kids, earned income credits, etc.

We keep hearing "enforcing the borders". Well, hate to rain on that parade, but most illegals are not climbing fences in the desert. They come for a ´visit´ and never leave. Why would that change?

So, you legalize the illegals here. Most will continue to not pay any meaningful tax, while being supported by the middle class with non-paid medical, emergency services, etc.

Then, the next wave comes to overstay their "visits". And so it continues.

You want to fix everything, I mean, really fix it? Two changes will fix it all.

1) If you are not a citizen, you cannot get any work. Period. No work. Illegals get in the back of the line formed by those seeking legal entrance.

2) Go to a fair tax. Everyone pays. Illegal? You pay. Overstaying a visit? Great, you pay. Poor? You pay. No deductions, no IRS.

You suddenly have a group of people that cannot work legally, and as long as they are here, they are paying tax on everything they buy except food. That includes beer, clothes for their kids, drinking water, and rent.

Don´t like it? Go back to Mexico. And many will.

I´ve got news for Mr. Paul - lots of them file tax returns. It is a great way to document that they´ve been here for years (in anticipation of the next amnesty that they knew was coming after 1986). They don´t pay a cent in taxes. They´ll become net takers in short order and so will their kids.

FAIR Tax. Everyone pays. Legal. Illegal. Criminal. Honest. Tourist.

Bonus - Illegals don´t qualify for the ´prebate´ that sends legal citizens monthly compensation to offset the tax that would have been paid on purchases up to the ´poverty level´ for a given family size.

That being said, amnesty is cultural suicide for a tettering-on-the-edge allegedly constitutional republic.

"Pathway to citizenship?" is a made up phrase . It is a lie. The illegals will have to apply for citizenship just like any other person in any other country in the world and they will have to go to the back of the line. Those with work permits will not be allowed to apply for citizenship for 13 years and then it is the end of the line and not in front of anyone else. We could use a little more truth in this discussion.

Did Marco Rubio just join the conversation?

Ahem.

So what, they wait 13 years. They continue to live here, pay no taxes, and reap all the rewards of citizenship except for voting (which is debatable even there). They won´t be paying taxes as I have stated. Work permits are a joke unless you have workplace enforcements, which there will be none. Meanwhile, more relatives coming over to "visit" and staying. It never ends.

The poster asserts that there is some rigor in these proposals, which is laughable.

The only way they will pay taxes is through sales tax.

Eleven million one day, twelve million the next. You have no clue how many. Start counting the ones already receiving checks for their anchor babies. Add a baby daddy to each one plus an aging parent.

Maybe we should force Western Union to tell us how many are wiring US dollars out of the country.

House Republicans are mocking President Obama´s plans to circumvent Congress to achieve key policy priorities and are not ruling out suing his administration for executive overreach. House Republican leaders spoke during a Tuesday morning news conference, just hours before Obama delivers his sixth State of the Union address. If you’re a long-time follower of this space, you know that we’re skeptical that Obamacare will ever be repealed, GOP slogans to the contrary. Today, however, a trio of experienced Senate Republicans—Tom Coburn (Okla.), Richard Burr (N.C.), and Orrin Hatch (Utah)—have put forth the most thoughtful and constructive plan yet developed to repeal and replace Obamacare. The plan seeks to ensure that as many Americans have health coverage as Obamacare does. It’s a proposal grounded in the real-world tradeoffs that all serious reformers must make.

On January 24, Klonsky dashed off a quick "note" to D´Souza on his Small Talk Blog: Note to Dinesh D´Souza -- You probably shouldn´t have Tweeted that racist remark about Obama and Trayvon Martin. S**t like that sometimes comes back to haunt you. (snip) Klonsky was awarded $175,000 by the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, chaired by Barack Obama. In 2001 he stated that he and Ayers were still gung-ho in their zeal to destroy capitalism, but they had

Former Vice President Al Gore raised eyebrows last week when he suggested that “fertility management” was the key to fighting global warming and promoting economic development in poor countries. Gore’s comments drew criticism from free-marketeers who said his remarks amount to “eco-imperialism.” “Gore’s agenda for saving the world from global warming has always included population control,” Myron Ebell, director of global warming and international environmental policy at the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Advocating population control specifically for Africa is just another form of imperialism. Gore’s eco-imperialism is uncomfortably close to the original racist goals of

A year after saying it didn’t matter what sparked the vicious attack on the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Hillary Rodham Clinton is calling the incident the “biggest regret” of her stint as secretary of state.“My biggest, you know, regret is what happened in Benghazi,” Clinton told an auto dealers conference in New Orleans on Monday. Clinton didn’t acknowledge any particular blunder in the days or weeks leading up to the 2012 siege that resulted in the deaths of four Americans. Critics blame unmet security requests by the tragic US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, who was killed in the attack. Clinton

It´s a good thing I remembered where I stored all my old ski gear, including the thermal underwear that I hadn´t worn in years. I´ve needed it during a season in which even the Deep South has seen an epidemic of frozen pipes, single-digit temperatures and school cancellations without snow. School kids were allowed to stay home for a day or two because, according to administrators, the weather was too doggone cold. The deep freeze might have forced most of us into a shoulder-hunching slouch, but it prompted an Easter Parade-like promenade by a crew of familiar climate change skeptics

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), once part of the "Gang of Eight" in the Senate that wrote the immigration bill that the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, believes that conservatives are opposed to amnesty because they don´t want America to become "less white." "Yes, things have changed. White Anglo-Saxon men are not exclusively running the country anymore," he said Thursday. "President Obama lost the white male vote 35 to 62 percent yet he recaptured the presidency – by 5 million votes and a resounding electoral college margin." Schumer said the changing demographics also "[explain] why so many

Deep within the Earth, a fierce molten core is generating a magnetic field capable of defending our planet against devastating solar winds. The protective field extends thousands of miles into space and its magnetism affects everything from global communication to animal migration and weather patterns. But this magnetic field, so important to life on Earth, has weakened by 15 per cent over the last 200 years. And this, scientists claim, could be a sign that the Earth’s poles are about to flip. Experts believe we´re currently overdue a flip, but they´re unsure when this could occur. If a switch happens, we would be exposed

Just a few weeks ago, a State of the Union call for immigration reform would have seemed an exercise in futility. But now, President Obama, who Tuesday night will urge the House to pass new legislation, might have at least an outside chance of getting what he wants. Immigration reform is back. Left for dead countless times in recent months, the effort to overhaul the nation´s immigration system -- and deal with the estimated 12 million immigrants now in the country illegally -- is again on the priority list for Speaker John Boehner and House GOP lawmakers. But there´s a problem,
