The White House on Wednesday stood by its story that the Obama administration remained unsure exactly who was responsible for the attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi nearly five days after it occurred even though new revelations show Ansar al-Sharia’s direct involvement. Gregory Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya and a self-described whistleblower, testified before a Congressional committee Wednesday that the body of Ambassador J. Christpher Stevens was missing for hours during the attack after being dragged out of the diplomatic post in Benghazi.
So the administration takes advantage of the uncertainty to propose a lie as the root cause of the attack. And then repeated it to the UN. And then jailed the videographer. And by the way, this is the first I have read that the hospital was run by Ansar al-Sharia.
I am appalled by the democrats who are defending the lies, deceit and horrific lack of leadership that let four brave Americans be murdered. I watched Juan Williams defend all actions by Hillary, and he looked and sounded like the fool that he is. I agree with Michelle M. that Juan did not even have the decency to watch the hearings. He is all mouth and no brain. Why Fox keeps this moron on their payroll is really stupid; he is truly a fool and a moron.
#6, we have more than four years. The democrats proved today that they will protect Hillary at all cost. They have sold their souls to the progressive agenda. They are without conscience when they can deny the truth. Nothing matters to them now but putting Hillary in the White House.
That the White House claims, "that the Obama administration remained unsure exactly who was responsible for the attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi nearly five days after it occurred" shows either one of two things (perhaps both):
1) They are complete and utterly incompetent fools. 2) They truly believe that all Americans are idiots since they consistently treat us all in that manner.
Something to keep uppermost in the minds of Americans - No one DIED during Watergate or it´s cover-up.
One could hope that the Republicans who declined to vote in the last election because Romney wasn´t perfect enough will have learned a lesson. They are the ones I really blame for this. The welfare crowd and Birkenstock liberals are a lost cause and need to be run over and forced to sit down and shut up.
Didn´t Hillary thank the Libyans for "dragging" the Ambassador to the hospital and trying to save him? It turns out that was a lie also. So nothing we were told was true yet the Democrats and msm continue cover for Hillary, Obama and Panetta. How disgusting they have become and we will pay the price with other attacks as world now know how weak we are now.
As a child I watched tv movies/shows where the good guys (us, the brits)were under attack by overwhelming groups of the enemy (indians, zulus, etc)and the sometimes tragedy when reinforcements did not arrive on time. They were ALWAYS sent, just didn´t make it in time. Fast forward to today, when real heroes are holding down the fort and the word they get about reinforcements is.....never mind. And they die a horrible death. And the people in power, responsible for sending in the reinforcements, feel entitled to not be held accountable for this slaughter.
Jihadists and Progressives share the righteous belief that lying in order to confound their enemies and achieve their aims is not a sin, but a virtue and this is a dangerous problem because both groups consider America the enemy.
I´ve felt all along that on 9/11/12 there was a little too much happy hour -- after all this was on the eve of a big fund-raising trip to Vegas. I want to know where PIAPS was. Haven´t we been told that The Won had a 4 am departure on AF1 and retired early? Doesn´t wash. AF1 has a bed for his highness.
Well -- poster #2 -- the response for ALL Americans -- with this administration -- is "you´re on your own".....
The only thing that counts with this PC crowd is -- taking taxpayer´s money in the form of taxes for their political buddies and the "trips" they can make.....the luxury they live in (not by efforts on their part -- but by the blood and sweat of Joe sixpack)...
WE the people are getting the message loud and clear. The boomers are in charge and "what difference does it make" -- who gets killed....
How many people died at Abu Ghraib? None but months of coverage on every news channel. Cindy Sheehan and months and months of her protests on every news channel. Cheney and Halliburton - all eight years of the Bush Adminstration on every news channel. Valerie Plame - and months and months of coverage on every news channel - even a special prosecutor. But FOUR dead Americans - abandononed by their own government and it´s all politics sayeth Juan Williams, Rep Cummings and Maloney etc ad nauseum. A pox on all of them.
How many lies are we up to now? Clinton must have an interest in Burger King because she loves whoppers. Mr Issa did an excellent job during the proceedings. It was noted that some of the democrats just talked right over Mr Hicks, etc.
So we now know that the military says no stand down order was given, yet a rescue team in Tripoli was not "authorized" to go help in Benghazi. The oh so helpful Libyans who took Stevens to the hospital, took him to a medical facility controlled by the attackers. Oooh ha that must smart on Hillary´s accounting of the whole debacle. Perhaps Stevens was still alive and the time he was mysteriously missing was torture time? Why would his deceased body get transported around by the attackers?
There is no acceptable excuse for a non-response to the attack! Anyone with half an understanding of the American military wouldn´t buy what this Administration is selling.
An old military slogan best describes how all branches of American services are dedicated to a mission. The C-I-C probably has never heard it nor would he understand the pride that goes with it. "The difficult we do immediately and the impossible takes a little longer."
No one can tell me that it wouldn´t have sent a loud and clear message to the thugs who were attacking if the fly boys did a couple of low passes over the Consulate in Benghazi.
Obama hasn´t a clue about the military and its might. He has never bothered to find out how it functions and all of its traditions. The Benghazi fiasco is an insult to the millions of men and women who have willingly fought for our country and the freedom that Obama enjoys; yet, he is doing his da@#est to destroy it. I say "A pox on Obama and his Administration!"
#25 is dead on. This politically-driven fiasco is a humiliation for those forces that had any ability to respond but were stood down. I refuse to believe that they stood down on their own. This is command by negation time. Prepare to respond, move out, and execute until the stand-down order is received. Who issued that order (rhetorical question)?
It has become increasing clear to me that the media runs this country. They control the message to the masses, and we aren´t the masses. They don´t care what happened in Benghazi. They care about protecting abortion, advancing gay marriage and redistributing the wealth of the conservative rich.
#11, I love your reference. But Billy Flynn´s tap dance began some time ago ("a long time ago" according to Jay Carney). It began with the President in the Rose Garden and with Hillary blaming the video the next day, with Susan Rice a couple of days later on five news shows blaming the video, with the notice our country published in Pakistan blaming the video, with Hillary standing over the caskets of four dead Americans and blaming the video, with the midnight arrest and jailing of the video maker, with the President´s speech at the U.N. Oh, they´ve been tap dancing for a long time, and the lo fos are razzle-dazzled. God help us.
Re: #12 - I was thinking just the opposite. Romney by design stuck to economics when he had the best chance since Reagan-Carter to emphasize distinctions between a socialist ideology enamored with Islam and conservative American values. He held the match to light the fuse on exposing the administration´s craven lies about Benghazi, then watched helplessly when two liars stamped it out right in front of him - and he never tried to re-light it afterwards.

I expect nothing or worse from democrats and I am never disappointed. I want the REPUBLICANS to understand that if they let this blow over, they will each be held responsible at the next election and ANY Republican running against them will get my vote.

Oh my, judging by her picture on this page, Bill´s Hill doesn´t look well at the moment. Is it even possible she might find herself looking even worse in the next few years? Time is running short for her. That´s a lot of struggling to overcome these revelations

I am hoping--no, praying--that like any accident or plane crash, a concatenation of events will bring down this Pretender President and permanently knock out PIAPS.
1) Growing economic weakness instead of real recovery. Rising real unemployment and underemployment--layoffs, hour cutbacks, more people exiting the workforce 2) Declining corporate revenues and the inevitable end of increasing profits--because there´s nothing left to squeeze. 3) The green shoots turning brown--the rolling weakness, cutbacks and failures of once-promising companies hyperlocal media, health tech and IT/internet. 4) The failure of Obamacare coming this year and next-and 10-30% increase in insurance premiums right now. 5) The bill coming in Federal debt due for squandering on Solyndra, Fisker. 6) The rejection of immigration reform, limiting immigration (Boston Marathon), rising crime rates by immigrants and because of the economy, demands for cutting back on H1B visas in favor of American workers. 7) The Jamie Dimon/J.P. Morgan witchhunt because Dimon is critical of the Fed, the SEC and Treasury--and Obama´s economic policies--this will have incredible blowback. Jack Welch and even Tiny Bloomie are backing Dimon. More from Charlie Gasparino http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/all_out_war_to_shut_up_jamie_dimon_qFllxzykcLL3DmUumO4xNK 8) The growing realization that we are failing on the world stage, binLaden´s death solved nothing--and becoming a terroristic target at home. 9) Benghazi and the drip, drip, drip of lies 10) The seeding of traitors through this Administration 11) The corruption of the culture and decency, where Obama and Moochelle are seen as enablers.
So what does the community organizer do? Face the press? No, he heads to Texas to agitate young people at a high school and any illegal immigrants who will listen. He will be vilifying Ted Cruz´s stance on immigration. Cruz has him flustered. A male version of Sarah Palin. So he breaks out his Saul Alinsky manual and takes to the skies. Typical.
ALL LIES and TOTAL FRAUD...are you proud now, you dumbass LoMoFo ignorant under-educated kool-aid slurping agenda - believing college nerd ghetto rap clown voters who believed the ass-press, Candy Crowley, CNN, MSNBC, the network liars, and your newspaper liars??? You bought the lies from Biden, Obama, Clinton....and you still believe Carney´s lies?? I believe we have entered ....The Twilight Zone! Bizarro World!
We are truly surrounded by idiots...Pray For America...and Justice.
What difference does it make , utterance of this incompetent liar and President wannabe, Hillary. Still waiting to know even after Yesterdays Benghazi revelations, what was Obama doing the evening of 9/11 while 4 heroes were fighting for their lives? The other thrust should keep asking get an answer the reason why Fighter jets F15´s et F16´s based at Sicily were not called into action( 15 to 20 minutes flying time)to dissuade the terrorists attacking the Benghazi Consulate Compound. Panetta you may recall a day or two after 9/11 publically stated they had no transports ready for the help mission. Low flying fighters would have been sufficient and enough to ensure the US meant business. Also when are the gags being taken off the survivors of the Benghazi Consulate .This tyrant in the White house has to come down to earth make it known he works for us.
Want revenge? Then force congress to limit their SS security to 4 per shift for the WH residents and 2 each for top admin. heads of dept. Since Hillary was a senator and now retired Sec. State lift her ex-president´s wife security and make all the critters hire their own. Obe won´t stay at he WH because he is terrified it is a terror target. If he can´t run with dozens around him he will have to hide in the bunker and there goes his community organizing on our dimes.
NAMES. I want names. What is the name of the military officer who told the rescue troops to stand down? What is the name of the person who told him? Who in the DOD told them to stand down. Who told the DOD top man to stand down. I want to know the 5 to 8 names in the chain of command who endorsed this cowardice. Orders were given by people. People who have names. I want their names. I want to know who is responsible for letting our people die. NAMES!
I am with Cruz: NEVER give an illegal alien the right to vote. His punishment should be: you remain a second class citizen because you broke the law. You can stay. Your children born on Amerian soil are American citizens (until we pass an Amendment to the Constitution). You pay taxes. You get no benefits. The privilege to live and work here is all you get. And along with that: specific laws and regulations to immediately deport every illegal entrant after the effective date of the law. Anything less is treason.
#44 - I agree, BUT 1 - how Bush used his 6 years of majority??? 2 - where is our heroic House majority leader (leaders)? Should I mention the behavior of repubics in "bipartisan" legislation, like financial laws, immigration, sequestration? 3 - how did it work to our advantage having "conservative" judge Roberts? 4 - what did repubics do to break the incessant assault on US Constitution? 5 - why repubics gobble up the seizure by the leftists all the media (digital media as well), education, entertainment (you can continue the list)? I mean, we vote, we even elect, and what is the end result?
Good summary #39. I believe the near future of America will make the deaths of only four people look like a good day. When obama finally succeeds in crashing the economy and the rest of the world sees how weak our government has become, it´s going to get REALLY ugly. We will be battling forces from within and from the outside. The people who allowed this to happen will not be able to run far enough, I don´t care how deep their doomsday shelters go.
Juan Williams is paid to be an idiot, just like Alan Combs and Bob Beckel are. Fox´s idea of fair and balanced gives the good guys ready targets. Or maybe there simply is no such thing as an intelligent liberal.
After the way the democrats and the media circled the wagons around that liar and serial adulterer Bill Clinton and smeared anybody who tried to get the truth out, I´m not appalled by anything they do.

As the "White House struggles to respond to new Benghazi revelations", the families and friends of the dead Ambassador and three dead heros struggle to live with their losses. The brave Benghazi whistle blowers struggle with the supression and intimidation by their "superiors" at the State Department, and from who knows else. The House Republicans struggle with the pathetically lame media bias.
House and Senate negotiators were putting the finishing touches Sunday on what would be the first successful budget accord since 2011, when the battle over a soaring national debt first paralyzed Washington. The deal expected to be sealed this week on Capitol Hill would not significantly reduce the debt, now $17.3 trillion and rising. It would not close corporate tax loopholes or reform expensive health-care and retirement programs. It would not even fully replace sharp spending cuts known as the sequester, the negotiators’ primary target. After more than two years of constant crisis, the emerging agreement amounts to little more
The sequester, no matter how imperfect a policy, is arguably the only victory for fiscal conservatives in a very long time. Their victory is also president Obama’s biggest defeat (outside of the self-inflicted disastrous Obamacare rollout). It is also another opportunity to remind the American people that the alarmist predictions that we were all subjected to about the devastating impact sequestration would have on our economy didn’t materialize. Yet, in a new move, Republicans are once again considering caving to Democrats and getting rid of the spending cuts. This morning’s Wall Street Journal has the following. Still, officials close to
President Obama’s repeated use of presidential powers is causing a tough problem — his own supporters now expect him to use it to achieve everything they want. From immigration to the minimum wage, congressional Democrats and liberal activists this week urged Mr. Obama to declare an end run around Capitol Hill, assert executive authority and make as much progress as he can on the expansive agenda he laid out for his second term. A day after Mr. Obama denounced income inequality, progressive lawmakers said he should take the lead by issuing an executive order requiring all federal contractors to pay
Three crises, one president, many bewildered friends. The first crisis, barely noticed here, is Ukraine’s sudden turn away from Europe and back to the Russian embrace. After years of negotiations for a major trading agreement with the European Union, Ukraine succumbed to characteristically blunt and brutal economic threats from Russia and abruptly walked away. Ukraine is instead considering joining the Moscow-centered Customs Union with Russia’s fellow dictatorships Belarus and Kazakhstan. This is no trivial matter. Ukraine is not just the largest European country, it’s the linchpin for Vladimir Putin’s dream of a renewed imperial Russia, hegemonic in its neighborhood and
Entering his sophomore year at Occidental College, Barack Obama sought a political movement to match his personal awakening, which he signaled to friends and family at the time by reclaiming his African first name. Barry became Barack that year. He had read Du Bois, Fanon, Malcolm X — an array of authors writing about the black struggle for liberation in his country and in others shaking off the legacy of colonial rule around the world. That is where he looked for — and found — a figure and a cause to channel his rising political enthusiasm: Nelson Mandela, then imprisoned
I´m generally for more disclosure in campaign finance, but the best argument against requiring full disclosure by groups engaged in political speech is that politicians sometimes retaliate against their critics. Sen. Elizabeth Warren inadvertently made that very argument this week. As told by Ben White at Politico, a group called "Third Way" criticized Warren. Warren apparently suspected that Third Way´s criticism of her was funded by banks. So she wrote a letter to bank CEOs demanding they disclose which political groups they´re funding. Warren sits on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. She´s basically telling the entities
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
Today President Obama announced to an audience at the far-left Center for American Progress that he will spend the remainder of his term in office focusing on income inequality. He began by saying that middle-class Americans are struggling, and the American Dream is threatened. He is right. Statistics on the White House’s own web site indicate that since Obama took office, median family income has fallen, per capita income has dropped, and millions of Americans have been plunged into poverty. But Obama is like a weatherman: he takes no responsibility for the disasters he describes. No one, not even a
It’s been a rotten several weeks for the mainstream media. MSNBC Alec Baldwin lost his job after calling a photographer a “c***sucking f*g”’; now he’s been followed to the scrap heap by Martin Bashir, who said someone should “p*ss” and “s***” in Sarah Palin’s mouth. CNN, meanwhile, is cutting back on its news content and instead focusing on entertainment-oriented content like Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. “We also want to broaden what people can expect from CNN,” boss Jeff Zucker says, explaining that the network needs “an attitude and a take.” Online, it’s been a tough week for outlets like BuzzFeed
Former President Bill Clinton, who prodded President Obama last month to keep his promises on Obamacare, said Tuesday that the political damage for Democrats from the flawed law will be “minimal.” “I believe that if the computer problems are all fixed, and it’s up and running by — and healthy in the next several weeks, I think that the damage will be minimal,” Mr. Clinton told interviewer Jorge Ramos of Fusion. “It’s getting better. I think it’ll be fixed by — in the next few weeks. If it’s worked through, I think within four or five months people will be
Sen. Marco Rubio is making a push this week to burnish his foreign policy credentials and establish gravitas on the world stage ahead of a possible 2016 presidential run, traveling to London to deliver a major policy address and meet British leaders. At a time of vigorous debate within the Republican Party about the United States’ global role, the first-term senator from Florida is articulating a worldview that places him neatly between the GOP’s tea-party-led isolationist wing and its more established interventionist wing. Speaking at the Chatham House think tank in London on Tuesday, Rubio paid homage to the “special
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
More young men in California rise in pitch at the end of their sentences when talking, new research shows. This process is known as "uptalk" or "valleygirl speak" and has in the past been associated with young females, typically from California or Australia. But now a team says that this way of speaking is becoming more frequent among men.The findings were presented at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in California. "We found use of uptalk in all of our speakers, despite their diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, bilingualism and gender," said Amanda Ritchart, a linguist at the University of
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
The U.S. isn´t called "America the Beautiful" for nothing. Each year, millions of tourists come from home and abroad to see the country´s majestic landscape and iconic sites, from the Grand Canyon to the Statue of Liberty. But there are also cool, quirky attractions, like Vermont´s Ben & Jerry´s Factory and Tennessee´s Graceland, the former home of Rock and Roll King Elvis Presley. From California to New York and everywhere in between, the country is chock-full of incredible attractions that keep luring in visitors. Here are the best tourist attractions in every state.
Although the jobless rate in November fell to its lowest level since he took office, President Obama called on Republican lawmakers Saturday to spend tens of billions on unemployment benefits that are set to expire this month. “It shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” Mr. Obama said in his weekly address. But he said the “economic lifeline” is in jeopardy. “All because Republicans in this Congress — which is on track to be the most unproductive in history — have so far refused to extend it” Mr. Obama said. If Congress doesn’t act before lawmakers leave on their holiday break, about
Many people could die as extreme weather becomes common. There will be more freak winds like the October storm, which killed four people. Heatwaves will be lethal and the sea level will rise, leaving coastal towns at risk of being swamped by storm surges. Sir Brian Heap, president of the European Academies Science Advisory Council, said he felt “obliged” to issue the warning after a new study by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. It comes on the back of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, which has killed more than 5,000 people. Sir Brian said: “Given the tragic events this
Call me Grinch, call me Scrooge. Call me Lord Voldemort of the Yuletide. None could be worse than sending me a holiday card with glossy photographs of your lovely, smiling family. My wife, Emily, and I place your cards like trophies on our shelves, continuing an old-school practice that began about 175 years ago as a way of maintaining relationships as families and friends moved far and wide. Today’s cards may appear more personalized — with photos of spouses, kids and pets, and distribution lists much smaller than a sprawling collection of Facebook friends. But when I flip over the photo
Chris Matthews is crazy. Nevertheless, when left-wingers talk openly with one another, their craziness can be revealing. That is the case, I think, with this remarkable MSNBC clip. Matthews, fresh from his kneepad interview with President Obama, praises what he terms a uniquely brilliant insight by Al Sharpton: South Africa’s white politicians of the apartheid era were more patriotic than today’s Republicans: I haven’t heard anything as smart as what I heard Reverend Sharpton say a moment go in five years. The difference between the way F.W. de Klerk handled the need for change and the election – democratic election
