Ahead of the Benghazi hearings in which three witnesses are set to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade invited Fox News analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters to discuss the issue. Peters was unflinching in his criticism of the “cowardly” Obama administration — and the “establishment media” that aids it. “Is this a national security coverup?” Kilmeade asking, explaining that the witness testimony is expected to say the administration was deceitful in its handling of the situation. “The administration, facing the election, went into panic mode, wanted to contain it,”
Comments: That pretty much sums it up doesn´t it? When Ralph Peters speaks, I listen. He is a fine, honorable man who speaks the truth.
Here we go again. Another congressional hearing, lots of heat but not so much light. At least time-wise. Constricted once again by their little timer clock, we hear more of ´we have to move on´ than we hear details and facts. Kudos to Chmn. Issa as he gave Mr. Hicks unlimited time, but now there´s no ´time´ for anything else except Democrat platform-shouting about how horrible poor little Mzzzzz. Hilarious has been ´slandered´ and how Chmn. Issa himself has LIED ON TV.
There was too much time between planning and scheduling this hearing, and today´s hearing. We´re getting nothing but b.s. out of the Democrats, their talking points, and their so-called questions. How many times can they interrupt a cogent response to an incoherent question, once that answer makes them sticky in their pannies and they have to cut it off.
I may have said this before, but I officially despise liberals and Democrats. They´re all speaking from Hillary´s notes.
And boo to C-Span for not covering this hearing. They show it on their C-Span3 listing, but their channel 3 is not available. 1 and 2 are, Radio is, but not 3.
Shame on C-Span. I have it on FoxNews as live feed because Fox News keeps interrupting so they can hear THEMSELVES talk about what THEY heard and how THEY interpret. Boos to them too, but thanks for having it on their website.
In the effort to communicate with liberals, it seems we have forgotten to factor this in: that life to all progressives is cheaper than it is to non-progressives. That goes for the life of this country. That goes for the life of a soldier. That goes for the life of all children of the next generation and the one after that. These are dead souls, or souls with a dying "faith tradition." They cannot really understand love because they do not know the God of Love, who said "Greater love hath no man than that he lay down his life for his brother."
I repeat -- nothing will ever come of this. It is already just showing on Fox and is being covered up by all the other media. It does not matter what anyone of high up men say - they will be shredded to pieces. This country is no truthful country anymore. We are being ruled by socialists and there is no turning back.
I am so angry, so sad the continue lies of this administration and those in Congress. American citizens were killed and it matters, they could have been saved but politicians allowed them to be killed by terrorists. I want to scream at them, I want to punch them in the face and tell them to start acting like citizens of the United States and not some two bit apologist for this administration. The same goes for the media, stop protecting this administration, this administration will allow you to be killed to save their butts from any criticism. Start thinking of the country and it´s citizens!
Thanks, ## 25 and 26, I might check it out. Although, I am so disappointed by the mild comments even here, that I´m thinking it isn´t worth the time. The only media comments I´ve heard so far were from the dense and traitorous Erick Erickson, who almost didn´t even address it this afternoon, and when he did chalked it up to incompetence. Baldface lying to the American public does not fall under the purview of incompetence last time I checked.
Very frustrating to have this seemingly fizzle like this...
The Libyan Ambassador did or said something that ticked off Hitlery. We know from other sources that she has a short fuse, a giant ego and a long grudge-bearing temper. The Libyan Embassy either did not get required security or had it pulled to teach him a lesson. She probably smugly gloated each time she turned down his requests for security, imagining him sweating bullets while she, in her ivory tower ´knew´ he was safe enough, as Obama had killed Osama, and ousted Qaddaffi and the Libyans ´loved´ the Administration.
While I personally think they had advance warning, hence the Egyptian Embassy´s odd apology for that unknown video, but in any case, the attack was coming and Hitlery had no way to stop it without revealing to everyone the games she was playing with people´s lives. Worse, the attack came to Obama´s attention during his meeting with Panetta. He shrugged, said, "This isn´t MY fault - deal with it, I have an election to run..." and went to bed, leaving the ball in Hitlery and Panetta´s hands.
They dithered, then after confirming that any response by counter-terrorism would let the cat out of the bag, decided to cut their losses and let the Al Qaida terrorists slaughter Stevens and his staff. No witnesses meant easier to sweep under the rug. The video was either a planned or convenient excuse for this coverup...
...except some troublesome heroes defied orders to stand down and who gave their lives to save the consulate staff (leaving numerous witnesses) caused it to blow up in their faces. With the help of the media, they managed to put a lid on it till after the elections. Now they are rapidly approaching true tyranny to survive.
Make those two miscreants Soetoro and Hildebeast PAY for their transgressions...Politically, Personally, and in front of every voter in the country they will be proved to be FRAUDS and CROOKS and tried, sentenced, impeached, and jailed! This is the beginning of it all!
SeeBS may yet put some duct tape on their reporter Atkinson. Obie threatening SeeBs with the access thing. Obie knew Benghazi would blow up, so trying to control what we are told, right up his alley. But, this time, the internet wins. You lose, Obie.
No. 30. I like your Hitlery theory. It starts to answer my question of WHY? Why did certain people want the Amb dead? I don´t believe the other theories that the Powers are lazy, incompetent, or dull and that´s why they did nothing.
I think there is a more sinister motive, and your Hitlery angle is a nice start, IMHO.
Absolutely nothing... nothing will come from these congressional hearings. The regime and all of their complicit media sluts will just wait this out and then give away more free stuff to the lo-fo´s and their lib/prog enablers. As long as the media whores keep working out on their obama knee pads we will see nothing more than the great whitewash!

Simply put Obama first just Kept handing over our people from Seals to ambassador to anyone else the Queda brotherhood demanded to keep his own miserable self alive over his claim to have killed Bin Laden. Next he knew hillary was just as eager to make political points and set her up to take the fall. finally they lied after Americans died. One doesn´t gather more than a hundred security agents around everywhere he goes if he isn´t scared stupid.
In his book “The Audacity of Hope,” President Barack Obama praised the Constitution and the federalism it enshrines, including the “three coequal” branches of government and checks on power that “prevent tyranny by either the few or the many." “The outlines of Madison’s constitutional architecture are so familiar that even schoolchildren can recite them: not only rule of law and representative government, not just a bill of rights, but also the separation of the national government into three coequal branches, a bicameral Congress, and a concept of federalism that preserved authority in state governments, all of it designed to diffuse
White House press secretary Jay Carney said that they’re leaving the investigation of an American teacher shot in Benghazi up to the Libyans. The Libya Herald reported that chemistry teacher Ronnie Smith, 33, was running on Dubai Street in Benghazi’s Digadosta district when he was shot multiple times. According to witnesses, Smith was approached by a black SUV that “drove up to him and retreated several times before shots were fired from the vehicle.” Smith had lived in Benghazi for 13 months with his wife and their 2-year old while teaching at Benghazi International School. His wife had flown back
President Obama directed federal agencies and the military to nearly triple renewable energy consumption by the end of the decade, setting a target of getting 20 percent of electricity from renewable sources. The move, which comes through executive order, is the latest in a series of administrative efforts the White House has employed to address climate change through curbing greenhouse gas emissions. And focusing on the federal government -- the nation´s largest energy user -- could have a significant impact. "Meeting this renewable energy goal will reduce pollution in our communities, promote American energy independence, and support homegrown energy produced by American
The President´s problems are not restricted to millennials -- a majority of whom support throwing him out of office. A new Gallup poll finds that his job approval among Hispanics has fallen 23% in the last year. What´s more, white women (especially blue collar white women) have turned sharply against ObamaCare. From the National Journal, reporting on polling provided to it from the Kaiser Family Foundation: According to Kaiser, 40 percent of college-educated white women hold a “very unfavorable” view of the law—10 points higher than a month ago. An additional 10 percent view the law “somewhat unfavorably.” A month
This has to be the lamest spin to date in defense of Obama´s most famous mega-lie, and it comes from an appropriately lame source. Cringe-worthy: "What he said was true. If you want to keep the insurance you have, you can keep it. The problem is, we did not put the bill into effect that way." I´m speechless. The promise Obama made was true, except for the fact that the law he signed didn´t allow it to be kept. Incredible. Reid´s bigger point -- and I use the term loosely -- is that because insurance plans are renewed on an
A group of young ballerinas rehearsing for “The Nutcracker” was kicked out of American University’s theatre so MSNBC host Chris Matthews could interview President Obama on Thursday. American University admitted they dumped Ballet Petite’s two final dress rehearsals so they could host MSNBC’s “Hardball College Tour.” Matthews will be presiding over a one-hour conversation with the man he’s likened to President Kennedy’s last brother, President Abraham Lincoln and Jesus Christ. The ballet company had been scheduled to rehearse on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for their opening performance on Sunday.
The Internal Revenue Service quietly proposed new regulations aimed at 501(c)(4) organizations during the Thanksgiving recess that Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, called "a crass political effort by the Administration to get what political advantage they can, when they can." Tea Party groups and other conservative organizations were apparently singled out by the IRS starting in 2010, and the heavy hand of government suppression of these groups may have greatly attributed to Obama´s re-election, an American Enterprise Institute study revealed in October. The Washington Post reported last week the Treasury Department said the new rules “may be
WASHINGTON — President Obama marked the death of former South African President Nelson Mandela, who died in Pretoria today at age 95, by noting that his own first “political action” was an anti-apartheid protest. Having served 27 years behind bars for various sedition charges, Mandela was released from prison in 1990 and forged an end to apartheid with President F.W. de Klerk. The two shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. De Klerk, 77, was hospitalized in July to have a pacemaker installed. Mandela had been in failing health for years and various media reports over the past few months
In an article published on Monday that advocates for Common Core standards, the Associated Press presents what amounts to the typical talking points for supporters when faced with criticism that Common Core is a federal takeover of education. The standards were created by the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers to improve academic achievement and increase accountability. President Barack Obama and his administration embraced them. Actually, Barack Obama did not simply “embrace” a concept that others developed; instead, the very roots of Common Core are in the early ideas generated by him and his fellow radical community
When George W. Bush was president of the United States, many of the left fell prey to what columnist Charles Krauthammer called "Bush Derangement Syndrome": "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush." With Bush out of office, BDS has waned somewhat. Unfortunately, it has been replaced by a converse condition, just as grave and dangerous to the mental stability of its victims: "Obama Worship Syndrome." Primarily affecting low-information voters and members of the mainstream media, Obama Worship Syndrome attributes impossible capabilities to
Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) announced that she introduced a bill aimed at ensuring that rural states get their fair share of federal communications services, such as broadband. Ayotte said her home state currently receives only 37 cents for every dollar they contribute to the Universal Service Fund (USF) — a federal rural communications program. “In our increasingly digital world, it´s critical that rural communities be able to take advantage of the economic and educational benefits of high-speed Internet access,” Ayotte said Wednesday. The USF Equitable Distribution Act, S. 1766, would ensure that a rural state is guaranteed to receive at
President Obama on Wednesday compared the challenges of health care reform to the civil rights movement as he urged young people to do “whatever they can” to help boost enrollment in Obamacare. In an address to a youth summit hosted at the White House, Obama urged young supporters to not get “discouraged” amid the health care law´s rocky rollout and with polls showing declining support for the president´s signature achievement. “Stuff that´s worth it is always hard. The civil rights movement was hard. Getting women the right to vote, that was hard. Making sure that workers had the right to
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways. Here’s the statement from Martin Bashir, via email: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon
Nineteen people stood behind President Obama on stage in the Executive Office Building Tuesday as the president kicked off a new campaign to promote Obamacare. One of those people, a young Florida woman named Monica Weeks, introduced Obama after telling the story of being struck with Crohn´s Disease at age 19 and receiving expensive treatments for several years that were covered by her parents´ health care plan — because Obamacare allowed her to remain on that plan until age 26. Now, Weeks said, she has coverage through a job. "The Affordable Care Act gives young adults who are just starting
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
Continued global warming poses a risk of rapid, drastic changes in some human and natural systems, a scientific panel warned Tuesday, citing the possible collapse of polar sea ice, the potential for a mass extinction of plant and animal life and the threat of immense dead zones in the ocean. At the same time, some worst-case fears about climate change that have entered the popular imagination can be ruled out as unlikely, at least over the next century, the panel found. These include a sudden belch of methane from the ocean or the Arctic that would fry the planet, as
America is facing a wave of strikes by its fast-food workers on Thursday a day after Barack Obama warned that inequality in the USA had soared to the point that it now posed "a fundamental threat to the American dream". Low-paid workers in McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast-food outlets in 100 cities across America were due to start rolling strikes to protest at the low level of America´s $7.25 (£4.45) federal minimum wage. The strikes are the latest part of a mushrooming publicity campaign for higher wages among those working so-called "McJobs", with fast-food restaurants seen as a
The world premiere of the “Ballad for Trayvon Martin for Orchestra and Jazz Quartet” is set for tonight. Princeton University’s director of its jazz-studies program composed the work in honor of the Florida teen. Anthony D. J. Branker told the Star-Ledger that the piece is intended to “be a form of healing” after Martin’s death and the controversial court case that followed it. The ballad, which will be performed by the university’s official orchestra and jazz ensemble, is intended to be a tribute to victims of racial violence, Branker explained. He hopes that the performance will be “one that speaks to
The president put in his ask to Disney CEO Bob Iger at a private meeting with entertainment moguls during his Nov. 26 visit to Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation. [snip] If you have any doubt as to how much of a sports junkie Barack Obama is, check in with the entertainment moguls who attended a private briefing with the president Nov. 26 before his speech at Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation campus in Glendale. At the end of the conversation -- which touched on a myriad of topics, from piracy to Iran -- Obama revealed what´s at the top of his bucket
A new report from the Texas-based Quorum Report, published by longtime Texas journalist Harvey Kronberg, says that House Speaker John Boehner plans to push amnesty legislation through the House, after the primary filing deadline for candidates. The move would prevent Tea Party from challenging GOP lawmakers who support amnesty in 2014. Scott Braddock reported on Tuesday that “in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed.”
