A Benghazi bombshell
Washington Post, by Marc A. Thiessen

The Obama administration wants to consign the Benghazi terrorist attack to the history books, but this week three State Department officials will tell Congress that the Obama administration’s version of history is false — and that the falsehoods it told the American people were willful and deliberate. One of the whistleblowers, Mark Thompson, deputy coordinator for operations in the State Department’s counterterrorism bureau, was in direct, real-time communication with people on the ground during the Sept. 11, 2012, attack in Libya, before he was locked out of the room. Yet despite his firsthand knowledge of how the attack

The "deputy coordinator for operations in the State Department’s counterterrorism bureau" was "locked out of the room," although he was on scene and in real-time communication with the people in Banghazi.

With sufficient back-up, this man´s testimony should be more than enough to bring down a few household names.

Now, if only whistleblowers would come forth about Obama´s handling of the economy - there is no doubt that he has been willfully misleading the nation.

This story is reminiscent of the old gospel song about Joshua fighting the battle of Jericho and the walls tumbling down.... Stay tuned for the results of this saga.

Compare this story to that of Philip Rucker, also in the WaPo this morning. They’re on opposite sides of the moon. The water cooler conversation at the WaPo must be getting heated. Do we hear the sounds of scales falling from eyes in the newsroom?

#4 I pray that you are right but I believe that the msm will circle the wagons and protect Hillary, Obama and Panetta. They aren´t interested in the truth. The witnesses will be marginalized because of the "fog of war", "conflicting reports from Benghazi", "lack of knowledge of what was going on at the compound" etc. I don´t know how they sleep at night letting 4 American die for the sake of a Presidential campaign. Life has always been cheap to leftists. Then ends justifies the means in action at Benghazi. Very sad day in America.

As nasty and deadly as the Benghazi scandal is, I might suggest that the intentional, pre-meditated damage inflicted on Americans through malicious implementation of the sequester cuts displays this regime´s willingness to commit both crimes of commission and omission.

You know what´s really sad? Even if the media had covered this honestly and truthfully, 24/7 before the election, the outcome would have been NO different.

By the point this happened, people had already decided who they were voting for, and nothing would have changed it.

Brendan Eich is gone. The creator of JavaScript and co-founder of mozilla.org has quit as Mozilla’s CEO, forced out by the uproar over a donation he made six years ago to a ballot measure against gay marriage. There’s no record of Eich discriminating against gay employees—“I never saw any kind of behavior or attitude from him that was not in line with Mozilla’s values of inclusiveness,” says the company’s chairwoman, Mitchell Baker. In fact, last week, Eich pledged, I am committed to ensuring that Mozilla is, and will remain, a place that includes and supports everyone, regardless of sexual orientation,

I subscribe to the Sportsman Channel because, as an incorrigible Canadian, I wanted the NHL network, although I keep it in part because of NFL RedZone. And so last night I found myself in the sports tier of my cable television package, watching the debut of the network´s newest show, Amazing America with Sarah Palin. Professionally making money from grassroots Republicans inevitably involves trolling liberals, something in which Sarah Palin is an expert, albeit with diminishing returns as her brief period of political relevance recedes. While there´s a certain trolling subtext to her new show, it´s mostly below the surface. I

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Stepping into an issue on the political fringes, Republican Senate candidate Matt Bevin spoke at a Kentucky rally meant to build support for legal cockfighting, a bloody practice illegal nationwide. The tea party-backed challenger to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell portrayed the event last Saturday as a states´ rights rally, but his appearance among cockfight backers prompted one animal-rights group to call on Bevin to withdraw from the May 20 GOP primary. The McConnell campaign scoffed at Bevin´s description of the event. "Only Matt Bevin would go to a cockfighting rally and claim he didn´t know what they were doing

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder told a House Appropriations subcommittee on Friday that his department doesn’t have a “formal relationship” with a controversial Islamic group while a chairman argued that an interpretation of the law has inexplicably tied the Pentagon’s hands in nabbing the Benghazi attackers. At a hearing to review the Justice Department’s FY 2015 budget request, Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Chairman Frank Wolf (R-Va.) reminded Holder, the sole witness, that last year the DOJ was “directed to follow the lead of the FBI to keep distance between government officials and individuals or organizations

Although the president and his aides trumpeted the ObamaCare enrollment figures as a success, the administration did not always see those numbers as something to brag about. In his Rose Garden appearance this week, Obama seemed elated to proclaim "7.1 million Americans have now signed up for private insurance plans through these marketplaces." But it remains unclear how many of those sign ups have paid premiums in order to be officially enrolled, or how many were previously uninsured. In addition, even though officials are celebrating the 7 million mark, the White House once minimized numbers twice that large-- the 14 million people in the

SEATTLE -- The warnings could hardly have been clearer. One technical report told of the "potential for a large catastrophic failure" of the 600-foot hillside above a rural neighborhood near Oso, on the Stillaguamish River. Another noted plainly that it "poses a significant risk to human lives and private property." The danger was so apparent that Snohomish County officials mulled buying out the properties of the residents who lived there. Instead, the county continued to allow the construction of homes nearby. Seven went up even after a significant slide approached the neighborhood in 2006. Whatever the wisdom of its decision,
