Turning on Obama
Amerian Spectator, by Ross Kaminsky

Original Article

If ponies rode men and grass ate cows, And cats were chased into holes by the mouse … If summer were spring and the other way round, Then all the world would be upside down. Once in a long while, an event evokes one of my favorite historical images: the British Army band, at Lord Cornwallis’ surrender at Yorktown which sealed the Americans’ revolutionary victory, playing “The World Turned Upside Down.” In this case, the event is the dramatic change over the past two weeks

Two examples do not equal a dramatic change. I´ve noticed that every time excrement hits the fan in the WH, Barry takes off for more community organizing across the country.

Richard Cohen at the Washington Post has been jumping all over Obama and is doing it again this morning. Isn´t this the same man who said he would have donned kneepads for Bill Clinton if asked.

It doesn´t matter when they stop drooling after the last election. I suppose if they stop fawning a bit the electorate might be more inclined to pick Republicans next time, but even without the media, the next elections (14 and 16)are the Republicans´ to lose-- and I have a great dread they will.
Obama, like Bill Clinton will garner great and unwarranted reviews in the history books. With any luck the next president will again correct the course, blunt his predecessor´s errors and get no credit for it or be called dumb.

The reason for the criticism of Obama by the DNC media goofs has to do with just one thing. They support and promote the ´Rat party and they are in fear of losing big in the next election over health care, rising taxes and rising unemployment. And people see no answers coming from the ruling class - just more counterproductive measures. The media craves distractions like amnesty - however, the Washington gangs aren´t propagandizing very well by the teleprompter, and that is what angers them.

Obama used up all of his political capital bending elbows and twisting arms to get his Obamacare passed--before anyone could read it. As to moral leadership, Obama failed before coming to the White House. While I can agree with the use of the word ´´fantastic´´ applying to Obama, it means something totally different to me than to his sycophantic media.

Over the next several weeks I´ll probably bore everyone to tears talking about The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, but just last night I read:

"This [Hitler´s appointment as an ´educational officer´ (Bildungsoffizier, whose job it was to "combat dangerous ideas"] was an important break for Hitler, the first recognition he had won in the field of politics he was now trying to enter. Above all, it gave him a chance to try out his oratorical abilities -- the first prerequisite, as he had always maintained, of a successful politician."

This marked the beginning of his oratorical career, by the end of which "with a magic power, after he took to radio, to sway millions by his voice."

Sound familiar?

Sadly yes, #3&6, we have seen the GOP snatch defeat from the jaws of victory too many times to hold out much hope that they won´t manage to do it again. Add that to those who won´t vote GOP to make a "statement" (I´m talking to you, libertarians and purists) and it´s hard to be optimistic.

There will be no wholesale turning on Obama. Too much has been invested in his success. Progressives are this close to realizing their socialist dream. They would rather the country be torn apart than have to acknowledge that Obama is not the messiah. For all intents and purposes he is their best hope. Look around. Who else could champion their cause better? He will be protected. Their very existence depends upon it.

There is an unholy coalition in this country of lefty America haters and LoFo parasites. They are still not the majority but need a dose of useful idiots to go over the top on Election Day. By choosing hapless RINOs to head the ticket, Republicans have been doubly obliging. Discouraging the base and driving the idiots on the fence into their arms. Absent such a vote repellent, compare the results in ´10.
I refuse to believe that it was the Kenyan´s political excellence that won the ´Rats their victory in ´08 and ´12.
So,´14 could still be a repeat of 2010. But unless they learn their lesson the Republicans are headed for oblivion in 2016.

Nevertheless, #8, I continue to hold on to the thought that this great country cannot have been permanently neutered by this man and his enablers. We will get past this. We have good men and women on our side, and the Dems do not. The rest of the world has to be watching in horror as Obama has frivously waved his tiny little magic wand in various directions and sprinkled disabling fairy dust over those who would stop him. It happened because he was black and too many wanted a black president so badly they were willing to overlook and ignore Barack Obama´s obvious unsuitability to hold the highest office in the most powerful nation in the world. Optimist that I am, I believe lessons have been learned, but at much cost. I´m not a Mike Huckabee fan, but Huckabee believes Obama cannot survive the Benghazi exposure. We´ll see. But we, and the country we love, will survive the little man for whom the Uncle Sam suit is too large.

The Left is running out of pet issues to use for dividing and distracting the country. At the same time Obama´s failures are getting too big to ignore - terror attacks, no new legislation, Obamacare, stagnant workforce, and foreign policy blunders galore.

The same people who raised Obama up will take him down. They have to, because for the left when their agenda fails it can never be because the ideas they promote are rotten at their core. Failure always has to blamed on incompetent implementation.

Jeffrey Lord has a tremendous article explaining how Obama is the first plantation black president. He is the white liberal media´s house negro. If you are black and you leave the liberal/progressive plantation you are pilloried by the white liberal media. Just look at Herman Cain, Allan West, Ben Carson, and of course Justice Thomas. This was Justice Thomas´s point in his recent speech. Obama was and is used to further subjugate black people into slavery on the white liberal plantation. All of the msm is owned by white men enslaving the black folk to their ideology, and if they buck it....they are hung and beaten with ridicule.

When "permission" is granted to bash Obama, they´re like sharks smelling blood - the story may just overshadow their politics. We can only pray this is true in this case.

Obama has through his egocentrism and naïveté added instability to an already dangerously unstable world.

Amen.

I am also fully convinced that during the presser O held when he said, "Well, maybe I should just pack up and go home", he was waiting for the alleged journalists to moan and beg him to stay. I heard zero reaction to that statement, which had to have hurt O´s fragile self-assessment. A telling moment.

FTA...Particularly when it comes to foreign affairs, Barack Obama is no longer the adoringly-fêted citizen-of-the-world who, on July 24, 2008 spoke in Berlin to 200,000 adoring, mindless fans, in a speech that German magazine Der Spiegel called “People of the World, Look at Me.”

I missed that quote back in 2008. It´s priceless and right on target. Nothing has changed and, unfortunately, Mooch has inherited the same narcissism.

Sorry, I do not believe they will turn on Obama. Everything will be blamed on Republicans, a do nothing Congress, Bush, global warming, the Tea Party, and extremist right wing Christians. It´s not zero´s fault that people cling to their Bibles, guns and racist views. Please folks, there is no light at the end of the tunnel, its just another train to run over people who are trying to keep this nation afloat. I am and continue to be despondent.

to the very slight extent that the MSM has "turned on" Obama (and it´s slight to be the point of feather weight) it is ONLY because Obama was reelected. MSM could have reported ALL of this in September of 2012 but they wanted to hurt Romney and help Obama. They make me sick. I do NOT welcome them to the fold. They are toadied, frauds and are in a profession protected by the constitution. I hold them in utter contempt no matter how much they (smirk, snort) "turn on" Obama.

What the media builds up, they also delight in tearing down. That philosophy is why Rush has never cared about what the media says about him. He worked hard and earned his place in radio history on his own merits. The media can poke him, but he won´t go into that good night until he is good and ready to himself.

You´ve got it right. He will hit the road. He doesn´t constantly campaign, however, as Rush and others postulate. As you point out, he constantly community organizes. It´s amazing how successful he´s been. It´s a simple formula that casts Obama as the gallant knight single-handedly fighting unseen forces of darkness. Every speech will have a villain that Obama is fighting on behalf of whichever _____ (fill in the blank) group he is addressing. He may be CIC but he is above it all and responsible for nothing. Don´t worry, he will promise to find the guilty parties. Simply amazing.

The most revealing truth in this article - - and many very bright L-dotters have picked it up - - is that all of the leftist media - - all of them - - take their behavioral cues from the NY Times.

Everything they do must fall within the boundaries set by the Times. Nothing outside those boundaries may be discussed - - or even thought about.

If you want to know what´s coming next - - pay close attention (yes, I know, it´s very painful) to the directives coming from the NYT reporters and editorial pages.

There will be no justice. He will continue to flim-flam, partying and vacationing his presidency (and our tax dollars) away. A country stupid enough to elect this unqualified person not once, but twice, is beyond the hope of justice. Demographics is doing us in. If I had no family ties and obligations, I would look for someplace else to live, so help me. My family lines have been in America since the 1600s, and I can´t imagine leaving the country I love (and the state of Texas that I love), but enough is enough.

This scandal should have finished Hilary´s career - she should have resigned. And this president is vile - this is so far beyond the Watergate scandal, it´s more than criminal - it´s treasonous, it´s a betrayal of his oath, his obligations as commander in chief -

The Dems and all their ignorant, illiterate robot voters will be in denial forever, but the heart of this nation will know the truth when they see it. I have no doubt about that.

Kaminsky sets precedent critcizing other news journalists. He breaks rank in this fascinating accounting of socialist writers
actually beginning to object to the fawning
subservient, knee pad ways of mafia media.
For further enjoyment of this wonderful work
of Kaminsky, seven times, try substituting the word "socialist" in place of his unreal
seven uses of the word, "liberal". See how much nicer, and even more powerful, it reads
He´s done great work here, catching the leaks in the propaganda dam, and deserves hearty congratulions for setting precedent.

The MSM isn´t just blindly in love with Dear Leader. They knowingly cover-up and lie for Him, which is borderline criminal, at best. It´s not the moistness in their loins, it´s the self-image they feel they must project - to in any way admit that Dear Leader is not The Second Coming as they´ve proclaimed on every frontpage since 2008, would be to admit their own unforgivable stupidity and deceit in making sure He was elected and reelected on a historically unequal media playing field. There is no way in hell the MSM will abandon Dear Leader now and thus expose their own pettiness and corruption.

While the worm is turning, I get tired of liberals and conservatives labeling Obama as "intelligent, smart, bright, etc." He is none of these. In my opinion every time he opens his mouth he utters the most nonsensical verbiage produced by a president. He demonstrates no deep understanding of any of the pressing issues that confront our nation in the short and long term. He values his image far more than he values the substance that accompanies the office he holds. He is a recreational politician who holds office for his own satisfaction rather than out of some sense of duty to the nation that provided he, his mother, and his immigrant father opportunities that stagger the imagination of the rest of the world.

Carter begat Reagan
Clinton begat GWB
Obama will beget another conservative, yet to be determined.
Trust the Pendulum and the currently evasive sanity of the American voter. Every once in a while sanity reigns.

AUSTIN — A Texas judge was expected to seat a grand jury Monday in an investigation into whether Gov. Rick Perry abused his power by vetoing funding for public corruption prosecutors last year. Special State District Judge Bert Richardson was to oversee the impaneling in Austin. The governor’s office didn’t return messages seeking comment, but The Austin-American Statesman and KVUE-TV reported that Perry took the unusual step of hiring a criminal defense attorney to represent him. The attorney, David Botsford, did not return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment. In June, the governor threatened to veto funding approved by the Texas Legislature

A Texas man was sentenced yesterday to 18 months in state prison for urinating on the Alamo. Daniel Athens, a 23-year-old El Paso resident, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a criminal mischief charge in connection with the April 2012 incident at the Texas shrine. While Athens could have faced a maximum of two years in custody, a plea deal saved him up to six months in custody. Athens was also ordered to pay $4000 in restitution by District Judge Ray Olivarri. Republicans, let´s get it over with. Fast forward to the finish line. Avoid the long and winding primary road. It can only weaken the nominee. And we know who he—yes, he—has to be. Not Jeb Bush, who plainly is unsuited to be president. He is insufficiently hostile to Mexicans. He holds heretical views on the Common Core, which, as we well know, is the defining issue of our time. And he´s a Bush. Another installment of a political dynasty just isn´t going to fly with the American people, who want some fresh blood in their politics. Unless the dynasty is

When I first started hearing people on the political left describe themselves with some frequency as progressive back in the 1990s, the term did not seem tethered to the epoch-defining, early-20th-century spasm of moral crusading and government centralization that helped give us everything from trust busting to Prohibition to the Federal Reserve. As articulated by champions like Ralph Nader and Molly Ivins, the progressive label was both a way to get out from under the generation-old baggage of liberal-a term Ronald Reagan and others had turned into an epithet-and to differentiate lefties from seemingly apologetic triangulators like Bill Clinton and

For political junkies desperate for clues to the hottest House, Senate and governors’ races around the country, April is the cruelest month. While Illinois and Texas primaries were held last month, the 48 remaining state contests don’t start up again for three weeks. Here’s the good news for those of us hoping to determine whether Democrats or Republicans will be celebrating in the fall: From early May to early September, we’ll have a steady stream of conventions, primaries and runoffs to keep us busy. We’ve already learned a little from the first two contests. On March 4, Texas told us two contradictory

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

Over 80 members of the Brandeis University faculty sent a letter to the school’s president earlier this month, demanding the school withdraw its honorary degree invitation to women’s rights activist and critic of Islam Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Brandeis rescinded the invitation to Hirsi Ali last week, prompting a public backlash from Hirsi Ali’s supporters. In the April 6 letter, faculty members called on Brandeis President Fred Lawrence to drop Hirsi Ali from the ceremony because of comments she has made about her opposition to Islam. “We are writing to urge you to rescind immediately the invitation to Ms. Ayaan Hirsi

He may not have been able to attend the Sochi Olympics, but Vice President Joe Biden is set to return to the world sporting event stage this summer by hanging out at the World Cup, the White House announced today. Biden is very excited. "You know, we have our Super Bowl, we have our World Series, we have the NBA Finals, we have March Madness, but my Lord, it is nothing quite like the World Cup," he said today as he and Secretary of State John Kerry unveiled the World Cup trophy. Kerry, meanwhile, stuck with boring comments like "I can´t think

Bad as Obama’s poll numbers are, they bode worse for Congressional Democrats. Obama is being buoyed by continued strong support from Democrat voters. The problem for Congressional Democrats is that November’s election outcome will not be determined in Democrat strongholds. Recent Quinnipiac polling data (released April 2, of 1,578 registered voters nationwide, with a MOE of +/-2.5%) showed the president with a deeply negative rating on his handling of the economy: 40% approval and 55% disapproval. In his sixth year in office, and the fifth year after the recession, 74% of respondents still rated the economy as “not so good” to

During her brief but lucrative stint as president of Wal-Mart’s charitable foundation in 2012, Sylvia Matthews Burwell received at least $750,000 in bonuses from an organization that doles out hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions but keeps a tight lid on its own compensation practices, records show. Ms. Burwell spent a little more than a year running Wal-Mart’s foundation before President Obama tapped her to be his budget chief last year — and then last week asked her to take over as health and human services secretary. Her White House biography touts her key private-sector experience as president of the massive

The Supreme Court has made pretty clear that putting your money where your mouth is deserves broad protection as a form of free political speech. The justices are about to consider whether outright lying in a campaign deserves a similar First Amendment shield. The court’s recent decisions easing the flow of generous campaign contributions already shifted the electoral landscape. If the court finds that even the most patently outrageous statements about candidates may not be barred by law, those two decisions combined could expand the rhetorical battlefield of the midterm elections and raise the attack ad volume as never before. On Fox News Sunday, political analyst Brit Hume said that Eric Holder’s claim that his treatment at the hands of Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) at a House hearing this week was unprecedented toward an Attorney General, made him a “crybaby,” and that he and President Barack Obama had in fact benefited “enormously” from being the first African Americans in their respective positions. “This strikes me as kinda crybaby stuff from Holder,” Hume said. “My sense about this is both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African American and the first to

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
