Rep. Trey Gowdy, appearing on Fox News on Saturday afternoon, promised that “explosive” congressional hearings over the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, are “coming quickly.” “There are more Benghazi hearings coming; I think they’re going to be explosive,” Mr. Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican who is a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told Fox’s Uma Pemmaraju. Mr. Gowdy wasn’t able to give out too many details, but he hinted that the public for the first time might hear from witnesses to the terror attack
Well Trey ~ watch your back ~ many who were about to expose something ended up DEAD ! Any of you who care ~ Please pray for his safety and that what he has to say will make a difference. They should not have died ~ let their bolld be paid for.
I like him. He is another one of that special group that I call the good guys in D.C. - thank God for them. God bless guide, strengthen and protect them, and all who fight the good fight for our country.
There has to be a turning point from this madness known as the Obama Administration. Perhaps this is it, or something that comes from the blue. I just have hope. Our Founding Fathers expect us to have hope.
Spot on #13, Issa told us the same kind of promises of action about "fast and furious" gun running, and the curious 5 trillion payment to the federal reserve which has been fastidiously scrubbed from the records.

Sorry, Trey. WTP expect nothing more than a washed out fireworks show fizzling in the falling rain. We were told the same about FnF ...still awaiting that shoe to drop. Our brave Military deserves so much better than what we give them.
Be prepared - if it emerges that Obama was intentionally negligent or worse during Benghazi, and that he acted (or refused to act) because of his chance of reelection - this will be viewed as a net positive by Democrats. They only care about keeping King Barack enthroned, so any wrongdoing he may have engaged in that helped him retain power will be applauded, not criticized, and certainly not punished. They have already given His Majesty the thumbs up for lying about the YouTube video, so - be prepared.
I like Mr. Gowdy. but whenever I hear talk like this from a Republican, I wince because the explosive testimony never materializes. McCain will call him a "wacko bird". The media will call the whole thing old news and we need to move along to important matters. The crazies on the left will call him a racist. I am now so jaded that I think nothing will ever touch our anti-American boy king. Please, please, please, prove me wrong. No one deserves examination more than this administration. They need to be held accountable for the deaths of these four Americans.
It´s so sad the state of the nation now. One poster after another just shrugs and says, "what difference, at this point, does it make." And they are right. Good look Mr. Gowdy. I wish you well. But it won´t matter. How horrible to be born in a time when we had to watch the great American experiment die.

Trey Gowdy is a former prosecutor, and while he is somewhat prone to hyperbole, he wouldn´t say this if he didn´t already know the facts.
I´m just hoping for a public hearing at this point, and that ´coming quickly´ really does mean SOON, like this week. The more time that passes with his words hanging out there, the more likely the hearings can be thwarted in some way....
Keep your witnesses secure, Mr. Gowdy. And yourself as well.
I just hope this time the Republicans can coordinate their questions so they make sense when asked and answered. We all the know the Dems will do what they can to obfuscate the testimony.
I have watched too many of these highly promoted hearings only to be disappointed when each prancing prince talks and talks and talks and finally blurts a question that makes little sense. I don´t hold out a lot of hope for this.
I am not optimistic that anything will come of this. The Hildabeest will come up with the "I have no specific recollection..." line of bullsqueeze, and there is 50% of the country that won´t listen to anything negative about our Dear [or Ear] Leader.
Or else, someone in the DNC will photoshop Representative Gowdy checking into a Charleston Motel 6 with a pair of underage llamas.
Obama answers to no one. He considers the US Constitution an outdated joke. With all the cheerleading forces in his corner, he is untouchable. Our citizens are morally bankrupt. The only thing they are concerned with, is when their next entitlement check will arrive. We have gone off the cliff. Only God can help us now.
Keep the faith!!! Heard on WMAL this morning: Joe DiGenova said his wife/law partner has been hired to rep. the whistle blowers and Victoria Toensing has a Top Security Clearance and the State Dept. is NOT ALLOWING HER access to them. Check out the pod cast, 70 am hour.
I have a little more faith in Trey Gowdy than some of you, but can certainly understand why folks are suspect. Im hoping they learned from the lack luster grilling of Hildebeast before and that now they are armed with more information to nail not only her but the WH.
If not, what should they do.. just let it go, and give up? We owe it to those 4 men and all the others who are still wondering if they would be left behind if the same thing happened again.
Exactly #36: Optimism should be tempered with a little realism from time to time but not to this degree here in these posts. It´s about time the DC types who claim to be on our side show a tireless, never give up demeanor, just like the socialists. We must NOT give up! Never!
This is a blaring, blatant aspect of Obama not protecting Americans(uh, oath of office?). History will show it was the first deaths of Americans on foreign soil in the name of Islam/sacrifice under this administration. Now that Americans have shown we´ll tolerate multiple deaths under Obama´s watch, as evidenced by the Benghazi apathy, the Islamo-Communists have copied that aspect to America as in the Boston Marathon bombings. See the pattern?
I like Trey Gowdy as well. But I agree with Rush that it won’t be something real like this but something inconsequential that will shock the lo-info voters (and the state-run media) into awareness.
Someone on this board once said: the only one who can get the right message to the various dem minorities, will be a member of that minority. And the only way the lo-infos will finally wake up will be the revelation of some stupid cultural slipup by the celebrity preezie.
Unless the explosion happens 3 months before 2016 election, there will be zero effect. Americans have the attention span of gnats. Already Benghazi if off the radar screen issues that poll as important. And Bambi is back to 50% approval on Rasmussen. We are so outnumbered.
We all have a right to our disappointments & our hopes but I´d be cautious of voicing those negative thougts remembering that what is bound on earth is bound in Heaven.
By all means let´s just trust the truth to come out & let God handle the consequences while we exercise patience. Somehow I don´t think He´s anxious to bring about something that will tempt His followers to sink to justified yet unkind gloating.
Rinktum #20 said it nicely. Trey, here today promises promises gone tomorrow, Whatever happened to Issa ?? Hey, whatever happened to Ron Paul? We all know what happened to Andrew. S.A.D. The occasional not corrupt looking congress person is permitted to speak, he´s in, then you never see him again. Tough tellng truth. Nobody has the time to resist commie medicine that is enveloping us slowly, silently, Orwell 1984 style. It´s time for EVERYbody to speak up. Not just the few.
New York Times photographer Doug Mills strode into Jay Carney´s office Oct. 29 with a pile of pictures taken exclusively by President Obama´s official photographer at events the White House press corps was forbidden to cover. "This one," Mills said, sliding one picture after another off his stack and onto the press secretary´s desk. "This one, too – and this one and this one and … ." The red-faced photographer, joined by colleagues on the White House Correspondents´ Association board, finished his 10-minute presentation with a flourish that made Carney, a former Moscow correspondent for Time, wince. "You guys," Mills
Sen. Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said in a 2008 interview that as long as he was the Senate Majority Leader, the nuclear option would never happen under his watch. “As long as I am the Leader, the answer’s no,” he said. “I think we should just forget that. That is a black chapter in the history of the Senate. I hope we never, ever get to that again because I really do believe it will ruin our country. Reid railed against Republicans who fought for the measure, saying it would lead to a unicameral legislature and that the U.S. Senate
Politico and one of its star reporters, Mike Allen, now find themselves at the wrong end of a thorough evisceration courtesy of Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple. Allen and Politico appear to have been caught red-handed in what might be described as pay-for-play or "native advertising"--the dark art of "special interests that pay for slots in the [Politico] newsletter get[ting] adoring coverage elsewhere in the playing field of ´Playbook.´” By "Playbook," Wemple means the Politico Playbook, the email newsletter Allen publishes 365 days a year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Politico´s goal with the influential and widely read Playbook is
The White House agreed Thursday with Senate Democrats’ argument that Republicans are treating President Obama’s nominees unfairly, but Mr. Obama was singing a different tune just two weeks ago while raising money from liberal supporters. At a big-money fundraiser on Nov. 6 in Dallas to benefit Democratic Senate candidates, Mr. Obama boasted to donors that his administration is making great progress in molding the federal courts to his philosophy. “We are remaking the courts,” Mr. Obama said. “We’re actually, when it comes to the district court, matching the pace of previous presidents. When it comes to the appellate court, we’re
You probably don’t know the name Lee Habeeb — which, according to Lee Habeeb, is the way he likes it. Habeeb is in the business of making other people famous, conservative radio talk show hosts in particular. He was the co-creator of the Laura Ingraham Show and is now a high-level executive at Salem Radio Network, where he oversees the work of radio greats like Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved and a host of other hosts. Habeeb also writes excellent columns for NRO, as well as other venues. I’ve spoken with Habeeb on the phone many times. For a while,
CNN´s Chris Cuomo and Kate Bolduan cautioned against MSNBC suspending or firing host Martin Bashir for his latest broadside against Sarah Palin, on Thursday´s New Day. Cuomo actually asked if he wasn´t just trying to make a "rhetorical point" rather than be "hurtful" to Palin. Bashir had clearly stated that Palin was "the outstanding candidate" to receive a certain punishment for slaves – defecating in their mouths – for her remarks on slavery. Despite the gravitas of his words CNN gave him some benefit of the doubt while ignoring his history of vile smears of Republicans, the worst of which
Senate Democratic leaders on Thursday moved to fundamentally alter the rules governing the filibuster after Republicans repeatedly rejected one of President Obama´s nominees to the D.C. Circuit Court. "Under the precedent set by the senate…the threshold for cloture on nominations, not including those of the Supreme Court of the United States, is now a majority," The Senate´s President Pro Tempore, Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., announced after a 48-52 vote to alter the rules. The move, which Senators refer to as the "nuclear option," came after the GOP rejected by a vote of 57-43 to confirm Patricia Millett to the D.C. Circuit
Accused-killer Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel will walk out of a Connecticut courtroom a free man Thursday after he posts a $1.2 million bond. Skakel touched his heart and smiled, and supporters in the courtroom clapped when Stamford Superior Court Judge Gary White granted bond, paving the way for Skakel’s release. “This is the first step in correcting a terrible wrong,” his brother John Skakel said in a statement. “We look forward to Michael being vindicated and justice finally being served. We are thankful to God that after 11 and one-half years he will be reunited with his son.” An appeals judge
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid´s finger is hovering over the big red button that will launch the Democrats´ nuclear attack against the United States Senate. By which we mean that, having secured 51 votes, Reid reportedly plans to advance a change to the body´s voting rules that would facilitate the approval of presidential nominees. KABOOM. That rules change, the much-discussed "nuclear option," is not an insignificant move for Reid. It´s not as bad as what happened in, say, Hiroshima in 1945, but it upends a long-standing tradition in the chamber. The problem in the Democrats´ view, as we´ve noted before,
The Obama administration once gave us “man-caused disasters” for acts of terrorism and “workplace violence” for the Fort Hood shootings. Now it has trumped those past linguistic contortions by changing words to mask the Obamacare disaster. The president and his advisers apparently knew long ago that millions of the insured would face cancellations or premium hikes once Obamacare was fully implemented. Yet to get the 906-page bill passed, they had to convince the public of the very opposite scenario. So they repeated ironclad guarantees that no one would lose their coverage or doctors — “period!” Now the administration explains the
Nearly 40 news outlets and organizations signed a letter Thursday urging the White House to relax its restrictions on news photographers when covering the president. The group, including major wire services and TV networks, said the White House is replacing “photojournalism with visual press releases” by barring photographers from certain meetings at the White House, then releasing its own photos of the events through social media. “As surely as if they were placing a hand over a journalist’s camera lens, officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the Executive Branch
A huge jumbo jet has mistakenly landed at a small airport in Kansas – an airfield so small it does not even have a control tower. The Atlas Air cargo plane was due to fly from New York´s John F. Kennedy airport to McConnell Air Force Base. Audio from an air traffic control website says McConnell Air Force Base gave the plane clearance to land, but the aircraft went on to land at the wrong airport. The Dreamlifter pilots are heard saying, "Ah, yes sir, we just landed at the other airport." The cargo plane which landed on Wednesday night
President Barack Obama told the Wall Street CEO Council Tuesday that his administration has "reined in spending" and "cut our deficits by more than half." "After years of trillion-dollar deficits we reined in spending, wound down two wars and began to change a tax code that I believe was too skewed towards the wealthiest among us at the expense of the middle class," said Obama. "And since I took office, we have now cut our deficits by more than half. Add it all and businesses like yours have created 7.8 million new jobs over the past 44 months, we´ve gone farther
´´Knockout´´ attacks have been reported in several states around the country and now investigators believe three people have been attacked in our area. Police in Lower Merion are investigating two attacks in the area, and Philadelphia detectives are investigating an attack in Northeast Philadelphia. It’s a violent crime that in other parts of the country has proven fatal. Videos from cities around the country show people being punched and beaten at random.
Negligence? Absolutely. Incompetence? The case can be made. But scandalous? To suggest that the White House has willfully engaged in the intentional misleading of the public and an outrageous dereliction of its responsibilities to enforce the laws passed by Congress has been a bridge too far. Until recently. New revelations are now forcing even the most reluctant of President Barack Obama’s critics to concede that the Affordable Care Act’s implementation has evolved into a scandal. “I was not informed directly that the website would not be working, as the way it was supposed to,” Obama told reporters on November 14.
It´s no secret that Sarah Palin is mighty steamed at MSNBC and Martin Bashir over his despicable remarks about the abusive treatment he imagines for her. And now she´s doing something about it. The former Alaska governor and Fox News contributor was scheduled to sit down with Matt Lauer for a Christmas season interview. That´s now toast. Palin has now canceled Lauer´s scheduled trip to Wasilla, a source close to her tells me. It´s not because Palin is upset with Lauer or the "Today" show, but as a protest against NBC for not taking action against Bashir. In fact, Palin once sat
MICHELLE OBAMA: I thought I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was really little and then I wasn´t that great at math and science so I switched to law because my mother told me that I like to argue a lot. But I realized in high school and in college that you don´t have to exactly know, you´re kind of always discovering yourself. So I studied law, I went to law to school, but was pretty clear I just wanted to be a good student. I wanted to know how to read and write and communicate, be able to
In an interview on BET last night with Bow Wow and Keshia Chante, First Lady Michelle Obama talked up her husband, President Barack Obama. "I always say my husband has got swag," said Mrs. Obama. "He’s got a little swag." The audience applauded. Mrs. Obama also said that the president of the United States "sings all the time." She continued, "Oh, yes, he’s in the bathroom all the time just singing." She also praised her husband. "[H]e has got a good voice." Here´s a transcript of that exchange:
Well folks, it looks like Arizona Senator John McCain will "be one of these old guys that should’ve shoved off.” According to the Arizona Republic, McCain is set to attend a glitzy fundraising for his 2016 campaign in New York City. Sen. John McCain has scheduled a December fundraiser in New York City, the surest sign yet that the veteran Arizona Republican is serious about possibly pursuing a sixth term in 2016. According to a copy of the invitation obtained Tuesday by The Arizona Republic, McCain is asking supporters to join him 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the midtown St. Regis Hotel
WASHINGTON — Michelle Obama says she won’t wear shorts on Air Force One again because the one time she did, it created “a huge stink.”(snip)Mrs. Obama was asked about her biggest fashion regret. She said she’s always happy with her outfits but that, quote, “sometimes I forget I’m the first lady and I’m running around in shorts.” She recalled her family’s first White House vacation, to the Grand Canyon in August 2009. Mrs. Obama said her wearing shorts getting off the plane “created a huge stink because people were like, ‘she’s wearing shorts getting off of Air Force One.’” She said her thought
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama conceded that he will have to "remarket" and "rebrand" Obamacare as public confidence in him and the healthcare law he championed has plummeted. Speaking at the Wall Street Journal CEO Summit, Obama addressed the failures of the Obamacare rollout and said while he was confident that the healthcare model his administration built, which he claimed worked off of the "existing private insurance system," would succeed, the law would have to be rebranded. “We are going to have to obviously remarket and rebrand,” Obama said. “And that will be challenging in this political environment.” When he
President Barack Obama told a gathering of corporate executives Tuesday he´s confident that his model of health care will work in the end, but he said he´s going to have to "re-brand" it to sell it to a skeptical public. He didn´t use the word "Obamacare" once on Tuesday in talking about his health care law, but he mentioned the "Affordable Care Act" seven times. "So, look, I am confident that the model that we built, which works off of the existing private insurance system, is one that will succeed," Obama told the Wall Street Journal´s CEO Council Annual Meeting
The White House has admitted that it was wrong to promise that people would be able to their health care plans under Obamacare. "With respect to the pledge I made that if you like your plan you can keep it, I think -- you know, and I’ve said in interviews -- that there is no doubt that the way I put that forward unequivocally ended up not being accurate. It was not because of my intention not to deliver on that commitment and that promise. We put a grandfather clause into the law but it was insufficient," President Obama said
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says although some Democrats may be voting politically to distance themselves from Obamacare, they were still supporting the law and working in their districts to implement it. "This is history and the future and progress," she stated emphatically, "It stands right there as Social Security, Medicare, affordable health care, as a right, not a privilege for the few, but a right for the many." She was speaking Tuesday at an event sponsored by BuzzFeed. Pelosi acknowledged she was "really disappointed" that the technology behind the website failed, but said she was excited to see the program fully
