Obama: Our top priority must
be ´growing the economy´

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 4/27/2013 12:33:55 PM

President Obama´s weekly remarks: Hi, everybody. Our top priority as a nation must be growing the economy, creating good jobs, and rebuilding opportunity for the middle class. But two months ago, Congress allowed a series of automatic budget cuts to fall across the federal government that would do the opposite. In Washington-speak, these cuts were called the “sequester.” It was a bad idea then. And as the country saw this week, it’s a bad idea now. Because of these reckless cuts, there are parents whose kids just got kicked out of Head Start programs scrambling for a solution.

Comments:
Sequestration is on 0bama´s head. This was not a GOP invention or desire. BTW, when 0bama went off on immigration reform at W´s Library, it was obvious that he has no sense of political "boundaries."

Did people laugh at him when he said, "Our top priority must
be ´growing the economy´?"
Media wonks do say he is funnier than many comedians.

He doesn´t even have a category for:

"Get out of the way and quit sowing doubt and confusion in the market-place."

-- or --

"Quit spending our grandchildren´s money."

The sequester was the only choice, since those in power including all of Congress refuse to get busy and clean out the excesses of government, the fraud, the abuse, the special deals for cronies and friends, the junkets, just everything that is unnecessary and then spend their time on reforming welfare, Social Security Medicare, Medicaid and everything it every department. If this was done, we´d have excess money to grow the economy and pay down the debt. But, as Hillary says, "What difference does it make".

This is just racist washington 1984 double think speech. Drop the word "economy" and insert the word "government". That is what he means and that is what he intends to do as long as congress and 51% of the stupid American voters keep ignoring the harm that is being hoisted upon us. On the surface obama is a liberal tax and spend dem. Underneath he is a very dangerous man.

Yes, growing our economy should be our top priority, but everything 0bama does seems to destroy the economy. Higher taxes, more freebies for people who do not work, high priced 0bamacare, more and more regulation on business, and all his give-aways to the unions. I have never known so many people who are out of work.

The only category in which this imposter in chief can be described as successful is in implementing the destruction of the United States of America. His real time policies are without any shred of merit, and abetted by takkiyah sp? he has lied his way glibly as he has removed one freedom after another by exeutive order when needed. Thanks a lot to all the low infos and zealots that put him in power and the largely self interested Congress who have not fought for we the people´s interests.

What Obama meant to say was if the economy does not improve it will obviously be a red line.

We all know how effectively Obama deals with red lines. Just ask Syria who dared to cross his red line on chemical weapons and is still feeling his wrath.

Ouch. That´s gonna leave a mark.

If you want something to grow and increase in vibrancy, it usually helps to take your hands from around its throat, first...

To declare ´growing the economy´ your top priority when your policies seem to converge on the singular goal of shrinking it to a size you consider ´just´ and ´sustainable´ is more than just silly -- it´s brazenly disingenuous.

And the sycophantic MSM isn´t about to take Obameathead to task over it.

Here is how you "grow the economy":

You stop threatening the hiring class with higher taxes, higher energy costs, higher medical plan costs, and more regulation. Stop wasting the people´s money on Solyndras, stimulus packages, and other boondoggles.

He should try it for a year. He could call it the " Dragonslayer Recovery Plan."

Others hinted at it, but #11 got it:

The leftist-statist-progressives, of which Obama is, as Rush would say, the titular head BELIEVE that Government = Economy.

Without the Government (capital G, always), there can BE NO economy. Without Government, there can be nothing at all - Government solves all, Government GRANTS all, Government ALLOWS whatever it allows (maybe), and your money is not yours, but the Government LETS YOU KEEP SOME. When Government decides you have enough, YOU WILL HAVE ENOUGH.

Government is ALL ... all that works, all that is proper, all anyone can hope for. All money belongs to the Government, and what you work for should come BACK to the Government since the Government lets it out to your business in the first place.

There. See how that works? ´Growing the economy´ as a top priority translates to BIGGER GOVERNMENT. No debate.

Crimea is now part of Russia, according to the Russian version of Google’s map service. The change was made to reflect in the latest update and did not affect how the online giant presents the peninsula to the rest of the world. “The Google Maps team is doing its best to objectively mark disputed regions and landmarks. In relevant cases the borders of disputed areas are marked in a special way. In countries where we have a localized version of our service, we follow local laws on representing borders and use of landmark names,” Svetlana Anurova of Google Russia told ITAR-TASS. Pretoria, South Africa - Oscar Pistorius spent much of last week on the stand detailing for the court what happened the night he shot and killed his lover Reeva Steenkamp. His version was repeatedly challenged by prosecutor Gerrie Nel who called it “improbable” and a “lie.” Pistorius’ credibility will likely play a key part when Judge Thokozile Masipa forms her verdict. If convicted of murder, Pistorius could be sentenced to at least 25 years in prison. Here is how Pistorius claims he came to kill his girlfriend in the predawn hours of Valentine’s Day 2013: Pistorius and Steenkamp went to bed about 10 p.m.

I am not “anti-vaccine.” This is not a change in my stance nor is it a new position that I have recently adopted. I embarked on this quest not only for myself and my family, but for countless parents who shared my desire for knowledge that could lead to options and alternate schedules, but never to eliminate the vaccines. When it comes to changing your passwords, the Heartbleed Bug is a better-safe-than-sorry bug. This is not a case of hackers breaking into a bunch of sites and stealing all the sites’ usernames and passwords; this is a vulnerability that allowed hackers to grab relatively small chunks of data as they flowed through sites. If you happened to be entering your username, password or credit card number as someone was making a grab, it’s probably out there now. You’re playing the odds, in other words — and we don’t exactly know what the odds are. This bug has existed for a couple years but was just recently publicly disclosed,

Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Recently elected Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is warning that global warming could raise sea levels high enough to flood the Hampton Roads region, home to the world´s largest naval base, without immediate and “smart decisions.” Addressing an environmental summit this week at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., McAuliffe embraced climate change, blamed humans for causing it, and said action is needed now to protect Virginia´s coast from rising ocean levels that will result from global warming. “The first big decision of course is to accept that climate change is real,” he told the group. “I happen to believe in

Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling. That´s thanks to the letter House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp sent this week to the Justice Department recommending a criminal probe of Lois Lerner. The average citizen might be dizzied by the torrent of confusing terms—BOLO lists, Tigta, 501(c)(4)—and the array of accusations that have made up this IRS investigation. Mr. Camp´s letter takes a step back to remind us why this matters, even as it provides compelling new information that goes to motive and method—and clarifies some of

Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle. Michael Parker and Flora Chang, at Sanford Bernstein, say we entering a new order of "global energy deflation" that must ineluctably erode the viability of oil, gas and the fossil fuel nexus over time.

STAMFORD, Conn. — Jeb Bush defended his controversial comments about immigration reform, insisting they were nothing new for him and urging “sensitivity to the immigrant experience.” At a Connecticut Republican party dinner Thursday night, the former Republican governor of Florida did not repeat his remarks from last weekend at his father’s presidential library, when he said that people who come to the United States illegally in search of a better life for their children “broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love.” This time the potential 2016 candidate put it differently. “To be young and

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

Under the administration of President Obama, as never before in my lifetime, there is reason to be a bit afraid of the federal government. I have written two books documenting Obama´s abuses of power, his assaults on the Constitution, his wars against business and energy, his abominably reckless spending, his divisiveness, his renegade Justice Department, his regulatory expansion, his executive orders, his overall lawlessness, and more. Obama´s conduct concerning Obamacare alone would be enough to get the impeachment wheels rolling for any other president. His flagrant, deliberate lies regarding almost every aspect of that

The deportation of foreigners living illegally in the United States is similar to the forced internment of ethnic-Japanese Americans in World War II, according to Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. “I’ll be very honest with you: Looking at the numbers at some point, in terms of how people are treated and deported and families separated and the rest, this has a scent of Japanese internment,” Pelosi told a Politico reporter. “It’s really a black mark,” said Pelosi. Roughly 110,000 ethnic-Japanese immigrants and their American children were detained during World War II after Japan’s sneak attack on Americans in Pearl Harbor. Pelosi also urged Obama
