Apparently the latest craze in NYC is to let your babies’ freak flags fly by letting them go commando: When Jada Shapiro decided to raise her daughter from birth without diapers, for the most part, not everyone was amused. Ms. Shapiro scattered little bowls around the house to catch her daughter’s offerings, and her sister insisted that she use a big, dark marker to mark the bowls so that they could never find their way back to the kitchen. But “elimination communication,” as the diaper-free method of child-rearing is called,

Why not just train them to a litter box? Or put them on a leash and go out with a doggie pooper-scooper?

Big deal. In China, little kids pants have no seat at all and they don´t wear diapers. That way, they can squat and do their business anytime and anywhere they please---and they do! Makes a walk in the park an interesting experience.

Oh that´s nothing. I read an article about lotus birthing. You leave the baby attached to the placenta till the cord dries up and detaches. Meanwhile the mother carries and the baby and the placenta around in a bowl with herbs.

Animals cut the cord with their teeth after their babies are born. What´s natural about
lugging around a placenta that´s already served its purpose?

There are some truly dumb people in this world.

Or are little liberal babies allowed to do what grown up liberal babies(aka ´bums´) are not allowed to do?

Cuz even whifty, liberal San Fran has enforced public defecation laws.

incrediably unsanitary. i can´t imagine wanting to visit someone´s house with bowls of excretement all over the place. and if you have to curb your dog and clean it up afterwards, don´t you need to have a pooper scooper and those little bags with you if you curb your child?

and by the way, you prevent diaper rash by changing the diaper as soon after the elimination as possible, whether or not the diaper is cloth or disposable.

Republican megadonors wouldn’t flood elections with private money if federal law forced individuals to immediately disclose their gifts, not only in public records but in advertisements too, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday. “The Chamber of Commerce told us that if their members had to disclose, they wouldn’t give to these secret PACs,” Pelosi said. Pelosi’s comments come as House Democrats plan to aggressively push for campaign finance reforms after the Supreme Court decision on Wednesday to eliminate caps on the total amount of money an individual can give to candidates, party committees and PACs.

Big changes could be just down the road for North Carolina drivers. A proposal is in the works that would change the state tax system to charge drivers by the mile, instead of at the gas pump. The proposal would be to charge a half cent per mile for cars, which would generate almost $500 million in annual state revenue. A driver who travelled 15,000 miles in a year would pay about $75. "Basically you pay per the mile. But she’s also taken one of the surefire moves to help ensure her relevance – not to mention potential TV and book contracts – by criticizing the very media establishment in which she spent her career. It’s an increasingly well-traveled path: Over the course of the past two decades, a handful of journalists have left mainstream media jobs while decrying what they saw as an inherent bias in their own industry.

According to a report via BuzzFeed’s Evan McMorris-Santoro, President Barack Obama requested the opportunity to address the nation in prime time on the major broadcast networks on Tuesday night to announce that the Affordable Care Act had reached 7 million enrollees. Those networks did not, however, accommodate the White House’s request. “Three sources familiar with the request confirmed the White House asked for the prime time slot in their effort both to emphasize a bright moment following the challenging roll out and, more important, to try to reintroduce the country to a law that remains unpopular,”

Taxpayer funding went to all 50 states in efforts to encourage people to enroll, including nearly $28 million for the

Attorney General Eric Holder disputed a Government Accountability Office report on his use of Justice Department airplanes for personal trips, saying it overstated the number of trips he took and failed to recognize that some trips were job-related. "My staff keeps telling me to take it easy, you know, well, this is one that gets me," Holder told Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. "There was this notion that we´ve taken -- I think it was described as hundreds of personal trips. That was wrong. GAO counted flights, not round trips. And we looked at it
