Crisis of black-on-black
violence largely ignored

The Tennessean (TN), by Spencer Wiggins

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 4/18/2013 12:18:00 PM

In its 2012 report “Protect Children, Not Guns,” the Children’s Defense Fund conveyed some harsh truths about gun violence in America, especially in the black community. In 2009 and 2010, gun homicide was the leading cause of death among black teenagers. Young black males die from gun violence at a rate 2.5 times higher than Hispanic males and eight times higher than white males, and gun injuries suffered by black teenagers are at a rate 10 times higher than white males

Mr. Wiggins, reminds the MSM and politicians what has been completely missing from 0bama´s gun control "debate"

America´s critics like to rant about blood flowing in our streets but I saw an interesting, obvious-but-ignored quasi-statistic:

Eliminate the black youth-on-black youth crime figures and our murder rate drops to a level similar to that of ´superior´ gun-free European nations.

Good luck Mr Wiggins. But I don´t see the ´black leadership´ ever addressing this issue seriously. There is simply no political payoff, and that is all they care about.

I have no doubt that white teenagers have access to a much higher number of guns than go black teenagers.

However, white teenagers also have a much higher number of fathers in the home that teach the sons to responsibly use and handle and respect the power of their guns.

Never underestimate the value of a loving father in the home!!!!!

Many of these black on black murders take place in cities with stringent gun control laws on the books. In those same cities fathers are few and far between. Not only that but the public schools are increasingly dominated by women teachers pushing programs for girls.

This is not a new story. Two decades back 1991 critics praised the movie Boyz in the Hood for "raising awareness" of the plight of fatherless black boys. The 20th anniversary DVD came out last year.

Whites have had it drummed into them by PC that anything they have to say about black culture is racist. Well, this is a black problem, so let the blacks solve it. The only thing black leadership is interested in getting from whites is freebies and give aways.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) on Monday said President Obama lied about the terrorist attack in Benghazi during an interview that aired before the Super Bowl. Inhofe said the 2012 terrorist attack in Libya will “go down in history as the greatest cover-up,” and slammed Obama for claiming it was thoroughly investigated. “It’s just an outrageous lie. It’s kind of hard to call it anything else. It’s kind of like ObamaCare and the things he said in the beginning and now he’s denying it,” Inhofe said during a radio interview on 1170 KFAQ’s "The Pat Campbell Show," which based in Tulsa, Okla. George Zimmerman apparently does not want to stay out of the spotlight, after agreeing to enter a celebrity boxing match last week. He confirmed the rumor on his Twitter account last month, tweeting “Here we go” and linking to a report from Radar Online. Al Qaeda fighters in Syria may have sunk to a new low with a video that appears to show a four-year-old boy squeezing off rounds from an AK-47 as jihadists exhort him on with cries of "Alahu Akhbar." The little tyke, whose father stands proudly behind him, is dwarfed by the heavy automatic weapon, and props the barrel up on a street barricade in the stomach-turning clip. The gun´s recoil knocks him back, and his father helps him hold it, offering encouragement in Arabic. As the commentary around the recent deaths of Nelson Mandela, Amiri Baraka and Pete Seeger made abundantly clear, most of what Americans think they know about capitalism and communism is arrant nonsense. This is not surprising, given our country’s history of Red Scares designed to impress that anti-capitalism is tantamount to treason. In 2014, though, we are too far removed from the Cold War-era threat of thermonuclear annihilation to continue without taking stock of the hype we’ve been made, despite Harry Allen’s famous injunction, to believe.
