An article published on CNN´s website makes an unproven claim that pressure cooker bombs like the ones used at the Boston Marathon terror attack are a ´signature´ of ´right-wing extremists.´ The article was co-written by Jennifer Roland and Peter Bergen. Bergen is the CNN ananlyst made the claim that right-wing extremists could be behind the bombing less than two hours after it took place. The article says (emphasis added) :A senior U.S. counterterrorism investigator told CNN that pressure cooker bombs have also been a signature of extreme right-wing individuals in the
I just think if this was the work of the Aryan Nation, Nazis or Skinheads they would have taken out the leaders of the race: The Ethiopians, the Ugandans, the Nigerians, etc...all African-Muslims. Instead the bomber/s went after the slower Europeans and Americans who came two hours later. Just makes sense.
It would appear that the rumors of Al-Qaeda´s death have been greatly exaggerated!!! I fear that we may now be paying the ultimate price for the administration´s spiking of the ball a bit to much following Bin Laden´s death!!!
One of the several attractions of using a ‘pressure-cooker’ is that it’s an airtight device, thus thwarting the efforts of bomb-sniffing dogs to alarm….assuming, in this case, there actually had been bomb-sniffing dogs on-site.
How many IEDs have been blown up in the US to determine that a "right wing extremist" uses this method...pressure cooker. I´ve heard that it is a signature of Pawk-ee-stan and Afghanistan terrorists. You can get info on the internet on how to put one of these pressure cooker bombs together...but it seems to have originated in those 2 countries. Too much speculation right now. The msm seems to be frothing at the mouth to pin this on a local. Maybe it is. Jennifer and Peter are wild-eyed progressive "journos." Pfie on them!
Really Chrissy? Right Wing Signature? You would have to ask the successful few who have managed to set of "bombs" in the US. Have you consulted the known right wing terrorist Billy Ayers? And his Frankenstein bride Bernie Dorn? Yeah...didn´t think so.
At this moment I am looking at my pressure cooker wondering if I should make porcupine meatballs for dinner. Sure hope I don´t put gunpowder, nails and ball bearings in it by mistake. The only people worse than those at cnn are the idiots who will believe them.
Excuse the 2nd post but I actually liked Peter Bergen in the months after 9/11; I felt he was a good source of information on muslim terrorists. But he slowly turned into the worst of liberals and now I can´t stand the man.
So, CNN is now saying that we on the right are collaborating with the Afghanie terrorists now, in order to improve our bomb making skills?(only slightly sarcastic)
I have read in two different places that these are the kind of IED devices that are killing our soldiers overseas. I will be vary shocked here if it truly is a disgruntled white guy. If it is a ´white guy´, he may be in cahoots with actual terrorists, like several other citizens who have gone over to the dark side.

Watching the "News" last night I distinctly heard two "experts" say "this is nothing new, these have been used in Afghanistan for years". The part I´m trying to understand now is why would right wing extemists travel to Afghanistan to blow up Americans?
Gee, history has shown that the "right wing" terrorists tend to target government buildings/institutions or specific targets while muzzies just want to kill as many of anyone and cause as much carnage as possible.
Guess which one fits? Or is Obama going to classify this as a "sports injury"?
The latest reports on the investigation say the trail is cold, they have no good leads. Could it be the trail is leading to muslim jihadists and this is a politically incorrect conclusion to be covered up. As the article shows pressure cookers could be built by anyone but if we talk about a "signature" it´s use up to now is all by muslim terrorists. Mark Levin cited a six month old warning that these IED´s would come home on his show yesterday. This is no surprise to the wise but Obama investigators may well take as long to figure it out as they do with Benghazi.
Politically motivated lying masquerading as factual reporting is nothing new to the pathetic ducks at the left-liberal and deservedly dying CNN. Pressure cookers packed with ball bearings, BBs, and nails are explicitly in instructions that Al Qaeda provides for its field operatives. One gets the feeling that if the worldwide security dragnet manages to snag only a Muslim terrorist or two for the atrocities in Boston, Jennifer Roland and Peter Bergen at CNN are going to be verklempt. We already know that their mendacity is all encompassing. These people really, really hate us, and should not be read. (Don´t forget these names.) In fact, they hate us worse that they hate the actual terrorists who have carried out attacks on civilians worldwide.
Remember Michael Moore´s bellyaching--that´s quite an ache!--that the 9/11/01 terrorists hit two "blue" cities when a red one would surely have been more appropriate? Leftists like the Obamas are friends of anti-Americans! Except as an opportunity to fake some degree of humanity while gaining political points for empathy, people like these lumpen newsies wouldn´t truly grieve if the worst happened to their political adversaries. After all, look at all the leftist tears being shed for Baronness Thatcher. /sarc off
@#12, Bill "I regret we didn´t set off more bombs" Ayers is a close ally of our current president and the old media is trying blame this on RIGHT wing extremists?? There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Why would "right wing extremists" hit the Boston Marathon? My money says left-wing Environazis. Think of all the carbon dioxide that the runners were expelling. According to Obama´s EPA, CD is a carcinogen.

Another example of the enemedia Democrat Ministry of Propaganda (aka: CNNABCCBSNBCMSNBCNPRNYTWPLATETC...) making an ad hominem declaration with absolutely zero supporting facts/evidence/examples (aren´t those supposed to be the bread and butter of reporters?).
There have been no reports of anyone in this country even attempting this kind of thing before Monday. How do I know? It´s one of my jobs to know. Here´s the byline to my military signature block:
"We´re here for all your Emergency Management & Planning Needs, including; Natural Disaster & HazMat Planning & Response; Defense Prep against Terrorist use of WMD; Defense against Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Contamination, & High-yield Explosives; Evidence Collection & Preservation in Contaminated & Hostile Environments; And Many other Emergency Response & Planning needs!"
Anyone still believing anything the propaganda arm of the Democrats/socialists tells them is a damned fool.
It may still turn out that some so-called American right-wing nut committed these murders, but the facts are the facts - and these guys ain´t reporting facts. Joe Friday, where have ya gone?
Since 01/2013, the WH/Holder machine has instructed the MSM not to name or picture criminals in crime reports, if they are of color... until they have a chance to try & pin it on an evil whitey.
However... I sense a big conspiracy theory about Boston events. I smell Ayres trying to create mass havoc but failing miserably.
1) Several trash can bombs in Boston but only 2 exploded. It started with a diversion explosion at the JFK bldg., intending to divert resources from the race area.... but Boston resources are much better than in the ´70´s. 2) American Airlines reservations down, stranding a hi % of scared peeps.... but other airlines helped solve the backlog. 3) Ricin laced letters which is easily obtained from a university lab.... but 50% public is not Lo Fo´s so many knew it´s not fatal. 4) Next I would expect a phony letter to the NY Slime with a claim that The Aryan Nation or Catholics for Christ bombed Boston.
Sooo... my theory is a failed terrorist attempt by Ayres & pals that will be covered up.
They´re gonna look like the idiots they are, when/if the "right wing white-guy" bomber is named something like Rafik Al-Muhammad. We now know he is a dark skinned male with a predilection for building homemade bombs. Sorry but sometimes "racial profiling" is a helpful time saver.

Caroline Kennedy is a long way from Syracuse. The soft-spoken presidential scion, who four years ago this month toured upstate New York in a short and ill-fated bid for the U.S. Senate, has swept with force into her newest public role as President Barack Obama’s ambassador in Japan. And if the iconic daughter of American political royalty showed herself to be deeply uncomfortable as a glad-handing pol, she’s on her way to becoming something of a rock star in the more dignified world of diplomacy.

When moderating comments on racial issues, we strive to balance our desire to allow people to discuss important problems in their communities with the equally strong desire to not give people a platform to promote hate or inflame racial tensions. This is a difficult balance to achieve, and it requires a lot of communication with commenters to define the boundaries. As with other hot button topics like abortion and same-sex marriage, we tend to see the same problems occur repeatedly in the comments. I´m outlining them here to serve as a reference on future stories.1. Overt racism. This should go without saying,

The National Park Service is not interested in coming up with plans to let states pay to keep parks open should another government shutdown occur, a service official testified late last week to a House subcommittee.Park Service Comptroller Bruce Sheaffer said a bill to require such planning for all 401 national parks could take too much time and money — a position that was blasted as “atrocious” by the subcommittee chairman. The Provide Access and Retain Continuity Act was one of two bills in response to the October shutdown of the federal government, when the closure of parks like the

The Obama administration plans to delay by a full month the open enrollment period for Obamacare´s second year, in a move that a Republican campaign strategist called ´nakedly political.´ According to Healthcare.gov, the Department of Health and Human Service´s official online portal for the Affordable Care Act, enrollment for 2015 is scheduled to begin on October 15, 2014 and end on December 7. But an HHS official said Thursday that the schedule has been bumped back, beginning on November 15, 2014 and ending on January 15, 2015. That timetable will ensure that the midterm elections come and go before the new
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina said Tuesday that it will raise rates as much as 24 percent on 2013 individual health insurance plans that are being extended next year. The increase is double the price inflation for the same health plans just a year ago, but many Blue Cross customers who have grumbled about rising costs in past years are cheering the news this time. The health plans in question were slated for elimination under the Affordable Care Act, the nation’s health care law, but Blue Cross said last week it would offer the plans next year. President
Sure, he likely didn’t mean anything overtly sexual by it. But Vice President Joe Biden is a folksy kind of guy who has officially entered dirty old man territory and done something sure to elicit laughs within the White House Press Corps. Look how he’s manhandling The Hill‘s White House Correspondent Aime Parnes for this photograph taken at a recent holiday party that she posted on her Facebook page. For most people’s tastes he’s grazing way too close to the vicinity of her abdomen. And watch her reaction. Is it shock, awe, utter disbelief? Whatever the expression, she appeared to
Michelle Obama has once again stepped out in her $6,800 J Mendel jacket, despite fielding a backlash last time she wore the pricey garment. [Snip] But the last time she wore the embellished garment, in July 2012 at a Buckingham Palace reception in London, political commentators took issue with the fact that she had spent so much on fashion while so many in the U.S. are suffering financially. Reportage of last week´s Nelson Mandela funeral reveals clearly enough that President Obama has reached the point in his tenure where everything ceases to go right -- when even the most serious and determined efforts deteriorate into a hash, or worse, a joke. This happens to everyone in public life eventually, politicians above all. The original attraction wears thin, flaws appear more prominently, styles and opinions change. There is little the individual can do to avoid this.(snip)The Mandela funeral shows that Obama is deep into this phase of his career, and has landed on his head.
The universe is a hologram and everything you can see - including this article and the device you are reading it on - is a mere projection. This is according to a controversial model proposed in 1997 by theoretical physicist Juan Maldacena. Until now the bizarre theory had never been tested, but recent mathematical models suggest that the mind-boggling principle could be true. According to the theory, gravity in the universe comes from thin, vibrating strings. These strings are holograms of events that take place in a simpler, flatter cosmos. Professor Maldacena´s model suggests that the universe exists in nine
London – Large tapestry portraits of President Barack Obama were unveiled for guests at the U.S. Embassy in London over the weekend. The recently-installed, large-scale tapestry portraits were created by National Medal of Arts winner and renowned American painter, photographer Chuck Close. Close created the portraits by compiling and interweaving Polaroids of the president from an hour-long photo shoot done the summer before, the Washington Post reports. The portraits are nearly 8 feet tall and more than 6 feet wide, with the final piece looking like photos but feeling like textiles. Close used one photo of Obama smiling and another

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) took some shots at his fellow Republicans during Tuesday’s Senate debate over the proposed bipartisan budget deal put together by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA). Joining the more moderate wing of the Republican Party, McCain declared his strong support for the deal and accused any members of the GOP who plan to vote against it of lacking “intellectual integrity.” McCain said he was supporting the bill for two reasons: One, to prevent the possibility of another government shutdown, and two, to alleviate the “devastating impact of sequestration on our military.” “The American people steadfastly

Less than a month after it was hailed as “a great diplomatic coup,” the so-called Geneva accord to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions seems to have come unstuck. The official narrative in Tehran is that Iran signed nothing. “There is no treaty and no pact,” says Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham, “only a statement of intent.” Originally, Iran’s official media had presented the accord as a treaty (qarardad) but it now refers to a “letter of agreement” (tavafoq nameh). The initial narrative claimed that the P5+1 group of nations that negotiated the deal with Iran had recognized the Islamic Republic’s right to enrich uranium
On Tuesday, MSNBC host Krystal Ball devoted a portion of The Cycle to advocating for the establishment of a national minimum guaranteed income. She insisted that research shows such a program does not create disincentives to work and could “eliminate poverty” with merely the stroke of a pen. The FBI says it has helped to disrupt or prevent nearly 150 shootings and violent attacks this year, in part by steering potential gunmen toward mental health professionals. It´s an achievement that stands out during a year when President Barack Obama made curbing gun violence a priority, yet has had little success in getting new restrictions enacted. There have been hundreds of these disruptions since 2011, Attorney General Eric Holder recently told an audience of police chiefs, touting the behind-the-scenes work of a small FBI unit based out of Quantico, Va. In most cases, the FBI has helped potential offenders get
