Online Furor Draws Press to
Abortion Doctor’s Trial

New York Times, by Trip Gabriel

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 4/16/2013 3:10:28 AM

PHILADELPHIA — Through four weeks, prosecutors have laid out evidence against Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortion provider on trial on charges of killing seven viable fetuses by “snipping” their necks with scissors and of causing the death of a pregnant 41-year-old woman during a procedure. The grisly details drew mainly local attention. But after an online furor that the case was being ignored by the national news media because of troubling accounts of late-term abortions, reporters from major newspapers and television networks descended Monday on the Court of Common Pleas.

This is hopeful. We need to show the same "online furor" when we pick our next presidential candidate. The internet, it seems, is our last hope.

FYI: long read, but here´s the gory details of this monster´s clinic --

http://www.phila.gov/districtattorney/pdfs/grandjurywomensmedical.pdf

He literally had a stinky fish & turtle tank (that he fed w/crushed clams) and a flea-infested cat (that defecated on the floor) in this filthy clinic that medical stretchers couldn´t maneuver in. Urine & blood soaked furniture, walls. Turned in multiple times & nothing was done. The only reason he was finally arrested was because he was also running drugs & it was a drug bust. Horrific.

They weren´t "viable fetuses."

They were babies, fully born, living and breathing outside of the womb.

Kermit Gosnell lifted them aloft and severed their spines with no more hesitation than one would feel for gutting a catfish.

Gosnell remarked that many of them "were large enough to walk (him) to the bus stop."

Gosnell cut off their feet and hands and saved them in jars as souvenirs.

Gosnell admitted to treating poor black and latino women poorly compared to white women. Poor black and latino wome were shunted off into filthy, blood-spattered, unsanitised rooms with cat urine and feces found on the floor. Gosnell reserved far cleaner rooms (and personal treatment) for white women, who he considered more likely to sue if treated poorly.

So, Kermit Gosnell can accurately be described as a murderous racist who made millions butchering black babies and keeping their body parts for souvenirs....

....and the New York Times doesn´t think this was "news."

Wow.

Smoke some more crack, Trip.

The MSM is giving itself some sort of bizarre tongue lashing and claiming the story snuck up on them. What they´ve really tried to do is protect Obama who signed off on post birth abortions when he was in Chicago.

The left doesn´t even have a clear definition on when a person becomes a person.I guess to some it´s when the kid enters universal pre-K.

When Glenn Beck was still on Fox,he showed a clip of a British, rabid abortionist, who said she wouldn´t have a problem smothering a baby she felt was suffering from a birth defect.I believe she also said a mother should have a year to decide on whether to keep the baby or not,in other words some sort of baby warranty.

Through this quaks practices,he´s really admitting that white babies have more value than black ones.No matter what the media will still defend the industry and basically declare this doctor as a lone wolf type.

PP raked in $168 million doing abortions last year and I´m sure they have no guilt over spending the blood money.

Hey! MSM! This isn´t news any more. It´s history. We already got the news from the web and the historians haven´t gotten to work on it yet. This leaves all of you utterly useless. You´ve just liberalized yourselves out of being relevant.

It wasn´t being ignored because of "troubling accounts". That makes it sound like they were acting in our best interest by sparing us the gruesome details.

No, it was being ignored because it didn´t fit their liberal agenda.

This report by the NY Slimes is what I call a zig zag list of excuses and disguised denials. Note how the article emphasizes the defense´s comments and that no one could tell if the babies were alive before they were decapitated.
Also the article sounded like the old excuse, "the dog ate my homework".

Progressives devalue life to the point that murdering the inconvenient is acceptable. This is the mindset of the people serving in high positions in this administration along with wide support from their ignorant followers. Of course they wanted to bury this story because it has the power to change public opinion.

I wonder if this is why the story was covered up for so long. The Democrat currently running for Governor of PA is Allyson Schwartz. She was the Executive Director of Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia. Starting in 1984, they made referrals for Dr. Kermit Gosnell to clients seeking abortion services.

I had an idea yesterday while walking down First Avenue and seeing the inspection rating notices pasted on restaurant windows/doors.

The same thing should be done for abortuaries ... since having an abortion is at least as dangerous in eating in a restaurant.

FTA: "In earlier testimony, according to several news reports, an unlicensed doctor said that Dr. Gosnell, 72, showed him how to cut the necks of babies born alive to make sure they died, and a young woman who worked at the clinic as a teenager said she assisted in abortions in which she saw at least five babies moving and breathing."

Too bad this "reporter" had to use other people´s assessments of the trial because he WAS NOT there to discover the grisly facts for himself.

This article is another attempt by the NYT to justify it´s incompetence in truth and worthwhile discussion about a subject that affects every person, not just the little babies murdered by this coward. I thought abortion was legalized to prevent back-alley abortions that killed innocent women--so much for that!

The 500 pound, mentally retarded gorilla in the room regarding this situation is that Barack Hussein Obama was, (and is?) completely in agreement with this procedure.

He virtually seconded his first vote, when he stated he would not want his daughters "punished" with a baby, while campaigning for the Presidency.

This lapse, or was it a dodge, in humanity should be hung around his neck for every remaining day of his life! ( think Hanoi Jane)

What is so important to the press is that abortion be well though of. They have no regard for the born alive babies. The world is upside down when babies are less important than political correctness in approving abortion. Bad publicity for abortion cannot be tolerated by the left but murder of the most innocent can. Sick Sick sick .

I get sick to my stomach anytime I hear about or read about someone harming an innocent child. I have never seen a child that asked to be born. And they depend on the adults around them (usually a mother AND a father) for every aspect of their lives. To harm that child and destroy that trust is the most despicable thing I can think of./rant

America’s schoolyards were tough places to play in the old days, where kids settled their arguments with skinned knuckles, bloody noses and a minimum of grown-up interference. Using radar technology, researchers from Texas A&M University found the remains of military buildings and tunnels dating back to 1850. The fort was built as San Francisco´s fortunes boomed with the discovery of gold in California and it proved to be of strategic value at the outbreak of the American Civil War in 1861. Secretary of State John Kerry today warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to stay clear of the political turmoil in Ukraine, adding that the U.S. doesn´t view the international tussle over the democratic movement in Kiev as a continuation of the Cold War. “We do not believe this should be an East-West, Russia-United States. This is not ‘Rocky IV´, believe me. We don´t see it that way,” Kerry said in a reference to the popular film in which Sylvester Stallone’s character is pitted against a Soviet bully. Appearing on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Kerry urged Putin to be “very careful” as he plots

PORT OF VICTORIA, Seychelles — The night before their lifeless bodies were found inside a cabin on a cargo ship, Jeffrey Reynolds and Mark Kennedy enjoyed the night life here, at tourist haunts called Le Rendez Vous and the Pirates Arms. The two, both former members of the Navy SEALs working as ship guards, later visited two casinos, playing blackjack and drinking vodka and tequila with sailors from New Zealand. The attorney for Lois Lerner blasted the House GOP for recalling the former IRS official to testify next week, saying it would only serve to embarrass her and could increase threats against Lerner and her family. Bill Taylor, Lerner’s attorney, told House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) that he told committee staff in January that Lerner would continue to invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination if recalled, and that she would "happily testify" if given immunity. Taylor, of Zuckerman Spaeder, said he heard nothing further from the committee until Issa wrote to him on Tuesday, saying he was hauling Lerner

On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden blamed “hatred” as the motivating force behind voter identification laws in states such as North Carolina, Alabama, and Texas. Biden wants new laws to block “former slave holding states in the south” from discrimination against blacks and other minorities. Biden, speaking at a reception at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., in celebration of African-American History Month, said that, "These guys never go away. Hatred never, never goes away. The zealotry of those who wish to limit the franchise cannot be smothered by reason." Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee (I) would take issue with

A chilling video of Maryland police silencing an innocent student who was recording the arrests of two other people has civil libertarians outraged. The arrests were made at night on the streets of Towson, Maryland. A University of Maryland-Baltimore County student who witnessed the arrests decided to record them using his cell phone. The student, 21-year-old Sergio Gutierrez, was soon approached by officers who objected — wrongly — to his actions. Gutierrez repeatedly told the officers that he knew he had the right to film them, but the cops were prepared to use any excuse to shut him down. First they told
