White House snub to Thatcher:
Obama won´t send envoy
- and leaves it to her old
allies from the Reagan era

Friends and allies of Baroness Thatcher expressed ‘surprise and disappointment’ last night as it emerged President Obama is not planning to send any serving member of his administration to her funeral. Whitehall sources have revealed that the U.S. delegation at tomorrow’s service in St Paul’s Cathedral will be led by two Reagan era secretaries of state: James Baker and George Shultz. Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. Notice how he waited for an "incident" before sending out the press release? Why else wait until the evening hours of a Monday?

That´s okay. Thatcher´s death certificate has her occupation as "Stateswoman (retired)." I wonder what the Obamacles death certificate will show as his occupation? "Basketball player (amateur)"?

Obama just doesn´t understand proper English.

Next, he represents ALL Americans.

Thirty more to go.

What a disappointment.

The farther Obama and his sycophants remain away from anything representing English and American tradition, the better. It proves the utter contempt he has of both countries´ history. Obama isn´t worthy to be near such greatness as Thatcher showed the world. The bust of Churchill must be smiling now.

Obama looked for an excuse not to attend. He is uncomforatble in his own skin. A public display of his lacking protocol and manners would humiliate him. Plus the teleprompter doesnt travel well...

Oh, and one last thought... The church service may be too long for the Won to sit through.

I would say it is an honor to not have Biden or Michelle at the funeral.

Or one of our top officials at all.

Biden can´t travel on less than $1 million a day. Michelle would cost even more. And their large security details would be a pain the Brits don´t need.

Baker and Shultz are appropriate selections although I am surprised they are active; Shultz is 92 and Baker about 83.

Maybe it´s all those years of Monty Python that have twisted my sense of humor. But in my mind I picture Obama and Moochelle, at the funeral next to Lady Thatchers coffin. When all of a sudden the lid opens and Lady Thatcher sits up, flips Obama the bird and yells "Marxist I have seen your future, and you will not win!".

Have you considered the Brits sent the message to Obe and company STAY AWAY we can´t deal with your 200 SS agents and stop the funeral procession so they could drive through?
Plus they can´t hold back the service to long enough to bullet proof the church windows and hotel rooms.
Remember when Obe demanded the palace windows in his 3rd floor suit had to be replaced with bullet proofing for a one night stay?

That´s about the only thing he has had an original thought on. Everything else was programmed by the marxist radicals &/or written and directed by Val Jar.

It would be impossible for anyone in the classless Obama administration to sit there while Margaret Thatcher was being praised. Progressives are all about being snide and snarky, and from day one have showed themselves to be ignorant of decorum and protocol. Baroness Thatcher deserves better representation and she will get it from James Baker and George Shultz.

Obama has referred to the Falklands as Malvinas-giving support for fellow socialist Kirchner.
One of Thatchers greatest achievements was keeping the Falklands British.
Our fake POTUS would have been among the " enemy".

Rest in peace, Lady Thatcher. You served your country, and the world, superbly.

Lady Thatcher never wavered in her support for the principles which secure liberty, the very freedom which the USA stands for. It is thus no wonder the militant lefties of this world still revile both Thatcher and Pres. Reagan, for when the Berlin Wall came down & the USSR fell flat, these magnificent champions for freedom proved that statist/socialist tyranny CAN be defeated and those enslaved by it CAN be set free.

For the leadership of any current free country on the planet not to honor so great a champion of freedom as Margaret Thatcher brings disgrace upon that country and is a petty betrayal of Liberty.

George Clooney has confessed to calling Las Vegas gambling mogul Steve Wynn an ´a**hole´ and storming off at a recent dinner because the casino-owner insulted President Barack Obama. The verbal assault occurred two weeks ago when the two-time Oscar winner was in Vegas promoting his Casamigos tequila, and was invited to dine with Wynn and his wife, Andrea Hissom, at the fancy Botero restaurant inside the 72-year-old´s Encore hotel. But when dinner was finished, the conversation turned to Obama´s Affordable Care Act, of which Wynn is a vocal opponent. That´s when sparks began to fly. One oddity of the current economic debate is that the more Barack Obama´s incompetent income-redistribution policies have failed, the more the left calls for more government-intervention policies to correct for the deficiencies of the earlier rounds. American middle-income families have lost nearly $3,000 in purchasing power since 2007, and the left´s only solution to get us out of the rut is more debt, more social-welfare spending, more income redistribution and higher taxes on the rich and big business. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
