NBC Reporter Luke Russert
Speculates On Boston
Explosions’ Link To 1993 Waco Siege

Mediaite, by Andrew Kirell

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 4/15/2013 5:18:48 PM

In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993. Speculating on possible link,” Russert tweeted following the explosions.

Gee, Waco was started by the Government, not by any right-wing group.

How about these liberal haters stop blaming fellow Americans (during a time of war with an established enemy!) when these events happen.

"Get in their faces" and demand they retract their statement!

The lack of any logical thought in this tweet is amazing. The only link to Boston, Patriot´s Day and Waco is that Luke Russert was at Fenway on Patriot´s Day the same day Waco happened. Self-centered doesn´t even begin to cover this stupidity.

That´s what mainstream journalism is these days: Start with the story you WANT to be true, and just make up whatever you need to fill in the pesky gaps.

I´ll be curious to know, after the dust settles on this story, which news outlets stuck to the facts.

Peter Bergen CNN Analyst: ´Right-Wing Extremists´ Could Be Behind Boston Marathon Bombing
---------------------

There is the narrative folks. Even though they have capture a SAUDI and have the suspects on video you will be seeing more of this blaming Christians, conservatives etc. They will not blame the terrorists. Just as Bill Clinton blamed the people of the United States for 9/11 you will hear obama and others like him do the same for this terrorist act.

The Saudi gov´t will not have to worry. They will just pay off more US gov´t people as they did for 9/11

I was just watching Shep on FoxNews and he was pretty much doing the same thing - mentioning Waco, the OK City bombing, etc. all being in April and tying them together.

When we have some facts, we might know something. Until then it is all guesses that are worth nothing unless you have an agenda.

Oklahoma City was a response to Waco. It was against a Federal government building. It would make no sense for a follow-up attack to be against a sporting event. Simultaneous bombings--bombs in garbage cans detonated by cell phones--are typical of Al Qaeda. It is too early to say, of course, that that´s what it looks like.

Luke, please do investigate Waco...Please do....because the ATF fired on the Branch Dividians first and set the accelerant and fires on those poor people...(Note Eric Holders part)
Are you aware the ATF and FBI went in to take the Davidian firearms away because Koresh had many, though had threatened no one...are you aware the only child to claim abuse was a well known liar? Are you aware the dentist on sight was brought to identify bodies before anyone was dead? Now those are points one side claims..but rather than sitting idly on your bum, with a cushy job provided by Dad and his libtard friends ...get out and investigate. Then get back to us...or continue to blather like the other tools.

Liberals claim to be better than other mortals. Liberals, they tell us, are a political anomaly who vote for other people’s benefit, not their own. Democrats see themselves as the generous party, the saviors of the needy, the elderly, the minority underdog against the cruel hand of fate and Republicans. Liberals are right: there is a difference in caring that shows up along party lines. Conservatives give more, a lot more. They aren’t content with good-hearted wishes, they do good deeds, turning wishes into actions. Conservatives are ten times more personally charitable, even to secular causes. They do far more

As President Obama prepares to release his budget plan on Tuesday, all 50 governors have signed a letter asking him to keep the Guard´s ranks at 350,000, instead of cutting it down to 335,000 as the Pentagon has suggested. Snakeskin clothes and accessories are seen as being very glamorous – but the factories where the animals are killed and skinned to make them are anything but. One such slaughterhouse can be found in the village of Cirebon, Indonesia. There, workers skin and kill snakes in their thousands every week, with huge mounds of snakes dotted around the floor in various stages of treatment. A variety of methods are used to kill and skin snakes in Indonesia. The most common method has been cited by many as exceptionally cruel and outdated. The snake is stunned with a blow to the head

Russia didn’t fire any shots in Ukraine on Monday, but there were plenty of casualties on Russia’s currency, bond and stock markets — even as Western nations rushed to plan their economic defense of the current government in Kiev. Share prices of Russian companies plunged nearly 11 percent, and the Russian ruble tumbled to an all-time low against the U.S. dollar despite Russia’s nearly half-trillion-dollar hoard of foreign exchange. The country’s natural gas monopoly, Gazprom, which sells to Ukraine and other parts of Europe through pipelines crossing Ukraine, fell about 12 percent, wiping out nearly $13 billion in shareholder value

FOR FIVE YEARS, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality. It was a world in which “the tide of war is receding” and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past. Secretary of State John F. Kerry displayed this mindset on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday when he

John Travolta didn’t have to memorize the names of all the Oscar nominees. He didn’t even have to memorize the names of all of the performers of the Best Original Song nominees since he was only introducing one of them. He didn’t even have to memorize Idina Menzel’s name. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), in a new interview with Time magazine, says that President Obama made a good impression on GOP senators when he sat down to dinner with them last year. Part of the reason? "Because he was smarter than the rest of us." Here´s McCain´s full quote, from Time: "I thought when he had a couple of dinners with Republican senators, we really had a good environment there. Because he is a very very articulate and attractive guy in a setting with eight or nine senators and him. Because he was smarter than the rest of us. ... But I

But Apple chief executive Tim Cook has shocked some in the US with an impassioned attack on the single-minded pursuit of profit – and a direct appeal to climate-change deniers not to buy shares in his firm. Eyewitnesses said Cook, who succeeded Steve Jobs as boss of the technology giant in 2011, was visibly angry as he took on a group of right-wing investors during a question-and-answer session at a shareholders’ meeting.

Bad Business: Apple CEO Tim Cook has told global warming skeptics to "get out of this stock." But in essence, he did more than that. He told every Apple shareholder to take a hike and waved potential investors away. When Cook met with shareholders Friday, he lost his usual business cool when a group proposed that the company be more open about its environmental activism as well as transparent about costs it incurs as it increases its dependence on renewable energy. WASHINGTON—Police arrested hundreds of people who strapped themselves to the White House fence on Sunday to protest the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline. The protesters were mostly college students who participated in a peaceful march that began at Georgetown University and ended outside the White House. They chanted "climate justice now" and carried signs with slogans such as "don´t tarnish the earth" in an effort to persuade President Barack Obama to reject the pipeline. They say it will worsen global warming. Protesters were passionate but quite orderly. Police were waiting for them with buses and vans to speed the process.

Republican lawmakers have failed to pin down senior military officials on how they characterized the Benghazi attack to the White House and President Obama on Sept. 11, 2012, the day terrorists stormed a U.S. diplomatic mission and bombed a CIA annex in the eastern Libyan city. The issue gained importance in January when Republican members of the House Committee on Armed Services released former top-secret transcripts of senior officials testifying on the military’s response to Benghazi.
