HOLLYWOOD — Republican leaders plotted their party’s political comeback on Thursday with plans to court minority voters and modernize their political operations. But some wondered if one person could make it all for naught: Hillary Clinton. As attendees of the Republican National Committee’s spring meeting debated party rules and a refurbished GOP brand capable of winning back the White House, more than two dozen operatives and officials expressed worry that none of their party’s potential 2016 candidates can take her down. One early-state RNC member put it simply
Comments: TIME warns us that Hillary will be viewed as more moderate than 0bama (true) and that the GOP better nominate a more moderate candidate in 2016 or she will mop the floor with him (False). Mark my words, if the GOP does not nominate a fighter that will force this horrible woman to answer for the decades of incompetence, corruption and cover-up while articulating a TRUE CONSERVATIVE position, it WILL be over.
Why 2016? Hillary is to be feared anytime she is in a position of authority. Whether First Lady, US Senator or an incredibly ineffective SoS, she has been and always will be a clear and present danger our country.
I don´t fear Clinton - I fear the entrenched dem fraud machine, msm lies, low information voters and those on the government teat that benefit from larger government. That includes elected official and gov´t employees as well as the career parasite class.
They had better start getting info on Benghazi and how she mishandled that and other places around the globe. They need to go back to her lying about billing records with her law firm, Billy Dale, Craig Livingstone, Sandy Berger, etc. Gather all of that and make sure it is thrown in her face on a daily basis. Then they need to nominate someone with the cojones to stand up to her like Sen. Cruz would do. McCain and Romney would not challenge Obama on anything.

Easy way to stop Hillary dead in her tracks is to start investigations in to the real reasons for the housing and banking crash, culminating in 2008. 90% of the blame goes to Bill Clinton, and his den of corrupt thieves, including Janet Reno, Andrew Cuomo, and Robert Rubin.
From the title "Republicans Fear", doesn´t that say a lot! Republicans/ Conservatives need to stop brainwashing themselves into being afraid, especially of an old battleax like Ms.´What does it matter´. Stand up and fight for what you believe or just give up and wave a white flag already!
And the white, upper-income liberal Democratss are doing all they can to increase the cost of gasoline, electricty and a host of other costs that affect the little-guy, middle-class, and everyone, but those rich democrats living in Santa Barbara, Marin County, Carmel and places like that.
Attack on economics.
Monterey Oil Shale should be a massive boom to the economy and job creator that will have America energy independent.
Nothing should scare any of us anymore. The damage that´s been done to this country is lethal.
Our rights are dwindling by the hour. We have "conservative heroes" who tell us that city dwellers shouldn´t be allowed to own srmi automatic weapons because "it might end up in the hand of a crazy person." The crazy person, in my opinion, is he who sees this and, happily ignoring it because a republican said it, suddenly finds his freedoms gone completely and forever.
What´s to fear from the Beast of Benghazi with the dirty past. Any good campaign manager could destroy her. Unfortunately those heads at the RNC are still using Bob Doles formula, bore the electorate to death with kind words about your opponent.
The Republicans have a huge tent and can appeal to everyone by touting the spending spree that bamma has had and the huge deficit we face. NO third party will win and the Republicans have a very good chance if they don´t insist on a true conservative, whatever that means. We Pubbies have it covered.
The GOP has nothing to fear. They don´t even have a candidate in mind. The GOP is so full of themselves, that they have lost their true conservative base. No matter who their put up to run agaisnt Hillary, the GOP will only give the nation a loser who if he is a moderate will cause Hillary to win. Time is planting the seeds of destruction even before the 2016 candidate are planning their announcements to run. Good job Time, your rag still thinks they can influence the election in 2013.
It´s funny to watch the liberals tell the wimpy Republicans who their next candidate for President should be, because there is always a 50%/50% chance that the stupid party will play the liberal´s game.
Remember if Hillary Clinton does run, the Republicans will not only have to run against her, but also both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who will be campaigning for her. Who knows, Michelle Obama may even end up on a Hillary Clinton ticket, preparing herself to run for President after Hillary Clinton finishes her two terms, then the country would not only have a first two woman ticket, but when they win, the ticket would have two former Democrat 8 year presidents to advise them.
To oppose those liberal Democrats, and after a bunch of their aspiring candidates chew each other up in primary battles, the Republicans will probably be left with Marco Rubio whose claim to fame would be that he assisted the Democrats in granting a massive amnesty for 11 to 20 million illegal aliens and by way of an unintended consequence created almost that many new Democrat voters in the years ahead, a political misfire that will cause a large number of conservatives never to vote for Rubio. Now who do you think is going to win the 2016 election?
If the US Supreme Court does not swing liberal by 2016, it surely will before the Clintons and the Obamas walk out of the White House for the last time.
His birthday isn´t until Sunday, but President Barack Obama will receive an early surprise Wednesday during his meeting with House Democrats. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will present Obama with a dark chocolate cake topped with the presidential seal, and frosted with the words "Happy Birthday, Mr. President." There was no word whether the lawmakers would serenade the commander-in-chief with a song. Organizing for Action, the political group that advocates for the president´s agenda, was also getting in on the early birthday action. David Axelrod, a former top White House adviser, sent an e-mail to the group´s supporters asking them
BASALT, Colo. — Federal agents with the FBI, IRS and Bureau of Land Management have served a search warrant at the offices of Crystal River Oil and Gas in Basalt. IRS special agent Karen Gurgel said the action on Tuesday is part of a criminal investigation, but she did not elaborate. Crystal River Oil and Gas operates 300 oil-and-gas producing wells in six states, with a focus on Texas and Oklahoma. It also has offices in California. A local newspaper reports no one from the company could be reached for comment Tuesday and no arrests were made.
Sift everything. Sift the weeks of testimony, the theatrics, the recriminations, the tears. Sift the months of noisy commentary — the relentless, pounding, grating noise. One image remains, clinging there to our consciousness. Sturdy, permanent, enduring, a distillation — a takeaway. In the moment that the hoodie — Trayvon Martin’s hoodie — appeared in Courtroom 5D in Seminole County, Fla., it was as if the air sluiced out the door. There was a breathless, aching stillness. Prosecutors displayed the dark gray sweatshirt that Martin wore on the last night of his life in an enormous, rectangular, thickly three-dimensional frame.
A Sharia committee in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo issued a fatwa that croissants are forbidden because their link with colonialism, according to an article on Tuesday in the London based Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat. The ruling said that the croissant, which is in the shape of the French crescent, celebrates the European victory over the Muslims, as the crescent is a slogan of the Islamic state. This is a sign of the Islamization of Syria in areas under the control of the Islamist dominated rebels. Traditionally, Aleppo has practiced a more moderate form of Islam
In her first speech since taking over the Environmental Protection Agency, Gina McCarthy came out swinging Tuesday and promised to ramp up the aggressive climate change agenda laid out by President Obama.(snip)“Can we stop talking about environmental regulations killing jobs? Please, at least for today,” she said during remarks at Harvard Law School. “We need to cut carbon pollution to grow jobs. We need to cut carbon pollution to strengthen the economy. Let’s talk about it positively. Let’s approach this as an opportunity of a lifetime. There are too many lifetimes at stake.”
Stanford Law School Professor Michael McConnell wrote in the Wall Street Journal recently that President Obama’s decision to suspend the employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act “raises grave concerns about his understanding of the role of the executive in our system of government.” Specifically, Article II, Section 3, of the Constitution states that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,” and McConnell emphasizes that “this is a duty, not a discretionary power.
Starting Aug. 6, protesters across the country will rally at highway overpasses each Tuesday and display signs calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. But on Tuesday, 15 local protesters got an early start. They gathered at the Harper Road exit on Interstate 40 in Clemmons for three hours for what the organizer of the event, Michelle Taylor, said is “a precursor to the national movement.” What do you think about the “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment” movement? Protesters wielded hand-made signs declaring "Impeach Obama" and flags, joining in what is called “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment
A defiant Anthony Weiner said again Tuesday he will not quit the race for New York City mayor, posting a new video on his website that he´ll continue to fight amid the furor over his lewd messages to women. "Quit isn´t the way we roll in New York City," Weiner said in the minute-long video. "We fight through tough things." Weiner´s video message comes as the Quinnipiac Poll shows he has dropped to fourth place among Democrats and trails City Council Speaker Christine Quinn by 11 percentage points among likely Democratic primary voters. The primary is Sept. 10.
There are places you can safely promote global warming. California, Florida or the surface of the sun. But going to pitch Global Warming in Nebraska or North Dakota or the North Pole is just not going to end well.(snip) “For the sake of our children and our future, we must do more to combat climate change. If Congress won’t act soon to protect future generations, I will,” Obama said. Nothing fascist about that. Bob Oglesby, climatologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, told Saturday’s crowd Nebraska is expected to warm by 4 to 10 degrees during the next century.
A petition to the US administration to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group has gathered 120,000 signatures as of 5pm on Tuesday. The petition was created on 7 July and gathered more than a hundred thousand signatures in less than a month. The petition, offered by We the People portal on the White House website stated that the Brotherhood had a long history of violence and terrorism against its opponents. It also accused the Brotherhood of having direct ties with terrorist groups such as Hamas.
The powerful National Automobile Dealers Association is facing a backlash over its choice of Hillary Rodham Clinton as the keynote speaker for its big annual convention. (snip)"When I see the announcement that the ´Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton´ will be giving the keynote address, the hair on my back just sticks up," the News quotes Jon Lind, general manager of a Ford-Lincoln dealership in Burlington, Colo., as saying. Not all auto dealers are Republicans. President Bill Clinton´s former chief of staff, Thomas "Mack" McClarty, is a top executive in an auto dealer group based in Arkansas.
WASHINGTON — Obama administration officials including Attorney General Eric Holder will meet with civil rights leaders and local elected officials Monday about aggressive efforts to protect minority participation in the electoral process following last months´ decision by the Supreme Court that neutralized a portion of the Voting Rights Act. Texas was singled out last week by Attorney Holder when the Justice Department sided with minority groups in a Texas redistricting case before a federal court.
Conservative bloggers went wild Monday when they got wind of the Congressional Black Caucus’ suggestion that President Obama pick Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston for the post of Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Rich Cooper, avid blogger for Security Debrief, responded to the news of the Jackson Lee recommendation in a post by saying, “Apparently, it is not a joke. For reasons that baffle any sense of reality, it is a serious gesture on the part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) to encourage President Obama to nominate Rep. Jackson Lee
There have been days since her son Ezekiel was born 11 months ago that Los Angeles mom Beth Capper has gone without food to keep up her supply. One friend was arrested for stealing some. It´s not drugs or alcohol or even baby formula that has put her in such a bind. It´s diapers. "There´s no way around buying them," said Capper, a 41-year-old single mother who doesn´t work because of a disability. Across the country, mothers like Capper are facing the same predicament. According to a report published Monday in the

But within a decade, it is expected that the ocean which the village of Kivalina has so relied on will completely destroy it--creating America´s first climate change refugees. America is in great shape energy-wise. We have more gas and oil reserves than ever before. Indeed, the United States could shortly become the world’s largest exporter of coal. Our cheaper power rates may bring energy-intensive industry back from Europe and Asia. Anthony Weiner may have violated federal law when he failed to disclose his lavish six-figure wedding in his financial disclosure forms, says a government accountability group. Ethics watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center examined the federal Financial Disclosure Reports for both Weiner and long-suffering wife Huma Abedin for 2010, the year of their wedding. The cost for the ceremony was at least $100,000 but probably ran closer to $250,000 including all
In an interview on National Public Radio (NPR), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said her new agenda for women will give mothers access to day care so they can “earn without carrying the burden of child care.” During the interview, aired on Weekend Edition Sunday, Pelosi spoke about her newly announced agenda, which is on her website, and is titled, “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families,” a plan that includes universal pre-school and access to day care for working women, and an increase in the minimum wage.
Many low-income families receive government assistance to help them purchase food and housing. Diapers are another story, a new study suggests. In what they are calling the first peer-reviewed study to quantify diaper need, Yale University researchers have found nearly a third of mothers cannot afford to purchase their infants diapers, raising health risks for not only babies but for moms who become stressed over the finances. "Notably absent from the antipoverty efforts targeting families is an essential staple for the health of children, diapers," wrote the researchers, led by Dr. Megan Smith,
Mideast: The sequester has "cost jobs," says President Obama, and "gutted investments in education and science and medical research." But somehow he´s earmarked $500 million for Hamas terrorists. Circumventing Congress and with no fanfare, President Obama last week issued an executive order enabling him to send an additional $500 million directly to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank — much of which you can bet will wind up going to the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorist organization. According to Obama, "it is important to the national security interests of the United States to waive the provisions of" Congress´ legislative restrictions "in
The mother of Trayvon Martin said Monday that she believed Florida’s Stand Your Ground law played a role in her son’s shooting death, but she wasn’t ready to support a boycott of the state for not changing the self-defense law. “The thing about this law is I just think it assisted the person who killed my son to get away with murder,” Sybrina Fulton, the mother of the 17-year-old from Miami Gardens, said at a National Bar Association event in Miami Beach. “I think we have to change these laws so people don’t get
A group of experts advising the nation’s premier cancer research institution has recommended sweeping changes in the approach to cancer detection and treatment, including changes in the very definition of cancer and eliminating the word entirely from some common diagnoses. Karl Rove and more than one hundred Republican donors sent a letter to Republican members of Congress on Tuesday, urging them to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill that would include, among other provisions, granting "legal status" to illegal aliens who meet certain criteria. Anticipating that lawmakers will face resistance to the bill when they go home for the August recess, the letter marks the escalation of a campaign in which Republican leaders and donors are pressuring House Republicans to act on an immigration reform bill.
