Inside the Gang’s Immigration Bill
National Review Online, by Katrina Trinko

Original Article

Posted By:Desert Fox, 4/10/2013 5:51:24 PM

In the immigration-reform legislation soon to be released by the Senate’s Gang of Eight, there will be a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants — but it will require proof of the border’s having been secured, and it will involve an arduous process that could easily take two decades for those eligible. The mark-up process for the Gang’s legislation will begin during the week of May 6. There will be no limits placed on how many amendments can be added, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. These are the broad outlines of the legislation: Modernizing the legal-immigration system.

I have read the borders are being overrun by illegals in anticipation of the coming amnesty. A pox on the gang of 8 and their supporters....

On THAT note...Don´t Rights actually belong to someone ONLY after the age of Majority? And prior to that time actually fall to the Parent? Thus the Educational Rights actually belong to the parent NOT the child (citizens rights to education are the Right of Citizen parents to have THEIR children educated by the State). Same with Healthcare (Citizen parents have the Right to THEIR Children being treated). Thus...anchor babies and the children of NON-citizens have -0- rights prior to their accrual at the age of 18/21 whatever the Legal age of exercising those Rights begins...or does that sound too Logical to actually be Law? No one suggests that a three yo choose schools or a 5 yo be entitled to buy guns, get a drivers license, Bank Loan..or Vote. Let alone Speak at Will while in school or elsewhere. One months foodstamps/welfare/educational monies for anchor babies would cover the cost to fly the whole family home to whatever country they came from AND leave a return ticket in the child´s name once they reach Legal Adulthood and can claim THEIR Rights as citizens. Just a thought...

What the Republicans don´t seem to understand is that the Democrats are very patient. They would like the 11-30 illegals to vote next year but that won´t happen so they prolong the process to fool the Republicans. If they win the House and keep the Senate in 2014 the lengthy eligibility requirement will be shorten. They know will get them all as voters sooner or later. No illegal should ever get citizenship with the right to vote period! Just give them a work visa. We´re screwed and the GOP is helping destroy the country. California is what Arizona, New Mexico and Florida will eventually look like when the illegals get to vote.

Just secure the border, and insure that anyone working is legal to work, not using someone else´s SSN etc. No amnesty or quickie path to citizenship. No more anchor babies.

So what if they say "there will be an arduous process on the path to citzenshp."

We have seen this show. From day 1, they make them legal and from day 1, they will be getting benefits for having broken our laws. From day 2, they undermine any provision in the legislation that doesn´t make the non citizen a full fleged beneficiary of every possible benefit.

Tens of millions will flood in behind and tens of millions will be suddenly eligible for family short cuts

If America is to survive, they have to be deported.
It CAN be done. They have no right to demand anything of the citizens of this country, period.
Let Mexico deal their own citizens. It appears that NO ONE demands anything of the Gov´t of Mexico.

This plan isn´t exactly amnesty.
The real quarrel is the elitist idea that highly educated individuals should be allowed the right to temp citizenship immediately.
That would be at the expense of Born American children working toward the high degrees who will be shoved out of that job market.
Ordinary young are already having to fight for any job.
If these people are that special they should remain in their home countries and create their own national heritages.

If this immigration reform went through it would be the fourth biggest scam ever perpetrated on the American people the first would be Obama becoming President, the second would be Obamacare, the third Obama´s re-election and fourth immigration reform. Ten more years to close the borders indeed, by then everyone in Mexico would be somehow registered in the US and would have access for themselves and everyone ever connected with them.

It´s time to clean house of, Socialist-Democrats and Liberal-Republicans and if you don´t get rid of them your children and grandchildren will be stuck with the third world lifestyle and all the bills that go with it. May the Lord have mercy on those you sell out.

Sorry, poster #4, but that logic doesn´t work.

A state law in Texas tried to deny children of non-citizens a free education, and charge illegal immigrants $1,000 per year per child for a public education. The Supreme Court overturned the law, [in Plyler v Doe 1975] part of the ruling (from Wikipedia):

Texas officials had argued that illegal immigrants were not "within the jurisdiction" of the state and could thus not claim protections under the Fourteenth Amendment. The court majority rejected this claim, finding instead that "no plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ´jurisdiction´ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful."

The part in quotes is the basis for the creation of "anchor children" supposedly from the 14th Amendment, but that quote is directly from a footnote to the ruling.

What if the liberal Democrats win the 2014 election after the 11 to 20 million illegal aliens here now are given some sort of amnesty?

Once the liberal Democrats again control the Congress, with Obama sitting in the White House, they could certainly create a "streamlined" process to grant all those legalized aliens what amounts to duel-nationality and US voting rights.

Since just about all illegal aliens are poor, generally uneducated people, who earn a low wage, have large families, and come from socialist oriented countries, the vast majority of them, assisted by the many very liberal ethnic and immigrant advocacy groups who operate in immigrant communities, would become liberal Democrat voters. As there is no way that the wimpy Republicans are ever going to out pander the liberal Democrats and their community organizers, when it comes to granting all those "New Americans" as the liberal Democrats call them, access to the US social welfare gravy train and expanded rights.

Clearly the wimpy Republicans are playing with fire here, and may find in the years ahead that they have committed what amounts to long-term political suicide as they slide into political oblivion, with the liberal Democrats picking up ten million or more new voters out of all this.

Just ahead of a possible Hillary run for the presidency, the Clinton Library released a new load of documents from President Bill Clinton’s years in the White House. One of those documents attempts to explain Hillary´s "vast right-wing conspiracy" claim in which the Clinton administration accused Republican staffers of colluding with "extremists" on the Internet to hurt the Clintons. On January 27, 1998, Hillary Clinton appeared on NBC´s Today Show. During her interview with Matt Lauer, she claimed that a "vast right-wing conspiracy" had been trying to destroy her husband "since the day he announced for president." That interview drew

As the nation awaits Hillary Clinton´s decision of whether or not she will run for president in 2016, a cache of 7,500 pages of newly released documents from Bill Clinton´s years in the White House show some familiar political themes. One revelation is that Bill Clinton worried that a massive new healthcare scheme would cause Americans to lose their insurance. In 1993, the President allowed his wife, first lady Hillary Clinton, to become the face of an Obamacare-like takeover of the nation´s healthcare system. The plan was sarcastically dubbed Hillarycare. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. WASHINGTON AND NEW YORK - In September 2001, as the U.S. reeled from the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Vladimir Putin supported Washington´s imminent invasion of Afghanistan in ways that would have been inconceivable during the Cold War. He agreed that U.S. planes carrying humanitarian aid could fly through Russian air space. He said the U.S. military could use airbases in former Soviet republics in Central Asia. And he ordered his generals to brief their U.S. counterparts on their own ill-fated 1980s occupation of Afghanistan. During Putin´s visit to President George W. Bush´s Texas ranch two

Political debate in America last week revolved around whether or not Jeb Bush, Florida´s former governor who is son or brother to two former US presidents – both named George – would jump into the 2016 battle for the Republican presidential nomination. For a nation that fought a war for independence from the hereditary power of the British Crown, in the person of another fellow named George, the concept of nominating a third Bush to run for the White House against a second Clinton (the former
