Kerry´s Missing Crew
New York Post, by Editorial

Original Article

Secretary of State John Kerry is worth some $200 million, give or take a yacht. So his decision to slap a 5% pay cut on himself in solidarity with government employees squeezed by sequestration won’t likely hurt him much. But he’s saving taxpayers another way, too — if unintentionally. And it’s downright troubling. How else is Kerry saving money? He’s failing to hire folks to fill key spots at his agency. Terrific. Think about it: With the North Koreans threatening nuclear strikes against America — and Kerry himself preparing to visit South Korea this week — wouldn’t it be a tad helpful

Kerry´s "wealth" is a result of his great success of being a gigolo--nothing else.

He married the widow of Senator John Heinz (R-PA), and with that he came to enjoy the wealth that was created through the great American free enterprise system that he and his fellow democrats are attempting to tax and regulate out of existence.

The author of the article does not realize that Kerry does not need any assistants. As the smartest men in the world - and if you doubt that, just ask him - he don´t need no stinkin assistants. He knows all about Asia. He was in Cambodia one Christmas Eve - and that must be true, he said so. And, he still has the hat.

The lack of assistants may indicate that other than giving our money to the Muslim Bro, Kerry has no real authority as SoS.

All decision making, from the level of security at our consulates and trade treaties to determining whether we leave Iraq, Afghanistan and South Korea are made by Valerie Jarrett, Axlerod, Plouffe, Susan Rice, Samantha Powers and, when time permits, Obama. This lack of authority may explain why HRC was the most traveled SoS: she realized that she was excluded from all policy decisions at the WH. So, build a faux resume. If Kerry travels to the next Andean Woman Empowerment Conference in La Paz, it will tell us that Lurch is not a factor as SoS.

What a small and politically vicious man New York´s new mayor is. Bill de Blasio doesn´t like charter schools. They are too successful to be tolerated. Last week he announced he will drop the ax on three planned Success Academy schools. (You know Success Academy: It was chronicled in the film "Waiting for Superman." It´s one of the charter schools the disadvantaged kids are desperate to get into.) Mr. de Blasio has also cut and redirected the entire allotment for charter facility funding from the city´s capitol budget. To understand Britain’s cowardice in standing up to Vladimir Putin, just follow the money. On Monday, a freelancer photographer called Steve Back snapped a photograph of a document being carried cavalierly in the open by British officials entering Downing Street. The document was a list of suggested countermoves by Westminster to play against the Kremlin for Russia’s recent invasion of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. Some of the items tracked with what other European and American counterparts were thinking. The standard media coverage of President Obama´s new budget claimed the proposals will cut $600 billion in spending over the next decade. It was just about impossible, though, to find any media story mentioning some basic numbers that belong in any story about a new federal budget. How much money is the federal government spending this year? How does that compare to what it spent last year, or expects to spend next year? Perhaps the reason for this failure is because the real numbers don´t match up with the storyline. For example, in the current year, the federal government is expected to

The Washington Post has the bombshell story of the month: “A pair of surveys released on Thursday suggest that just one in 10 uninsured people who qualify for private health plans through the new marketplace have signed up for one—and that about half of uninsured adults has looked for information on the online exchanges or plans to look.” Well, and there goes the famed rationale for the health-care law—which was to bring the people, numbering anywhere between 31 million to 47 million depending on how and whom you count, without insurance into the system. Why aren’t they signing up? First off,

President Obama is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make peace right quick — with an implicit threat that otherwise the Jewish state will lose legitimacy. That’s profoundly wrong. In an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg of Bloomberg View, Obama asserted that “if Palestinians come to believe that the possibility of a contiguous, sovereign Palestinian state is no longer within reach, then our ability to manage the international fallout is going to be limited.” Those words give pernicious credibility to a corrosive movement that sees Israel as the root of all evil in the Middle East.

Where Lois Lerner goes, drama follows. On Wednesday, the former IRS officer again invoked the Fifth before the House Oversight Committee. That precipitated a heated exchange between the committee’s Republican chairman, Darrell Issa, and Democratic ranking member Elijah Cummings, who called the hearings “un-American.” And that spat has become the story. No doubt that is exactly what Cummings had in mind. Because it distracts attention from the substance of the hearings — and from the questions raised by e-mails and public remarks Lois Lerner wrote, received or made when she was IRS Director of Tax Exempt Organizations. WASHINGTON — Charles G. and David H. Koch, the billionaire brothers who are perhaps the best-known patrons of conservative Republican politics, are bespectacled and in their 70s. They look genial enough. But Democrats are embarking on a broad effort that aims to unmask the press-shy siblings and portray them, instead, as a pair of villains bent on wrecking progressive politics. On Thursday, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is starting a digital campaign that will use Internet ads and videos, as well as social media, to tie Republican Senate candidates to the policies and actions of the Koch brothers.
