People like me, who grew up in Buffalo (or Detroit), already know what our future feels like.

Remember words have power; over and over in the Bible this is asserted. I affirm that this country is turning around and affirm that O and the left is getting weaker and weaker. Affirmations are powerful, what you say is what you get, so affirm what we want for this country and say it often with conviction -- out loud and silently.

So much frustration in our midst including me. I have swore to stop looking at the depressing news. Now I am just praying that the two theories that would bring down Obama would occur. Call me pie-in-the-sky thinker. The first theory is that Romney really won the 2012 election, however, because of voter fraud, the outcome was rigged. Many articles on voter fraud happenings were published but the "powers that be were too afraid, too disorganized, too shocked" to do anything. I recently read another article by a well respected conservative paper that outlined how it happened. One small fact was in Ohio, the cheaters only needed to falsify 6% of 600,000 no shows to win Ohio! There was just too much momentum for Romney and all the polls don´t lie for Obama to have won.
My second theory is going along with an conservative writer Diana West, who swears that the, HOLD ON, "birth certificate" presented by Sheriff Joe in Arizona and examined by Israel experts as well as many of our own proved it to be FALSE. Too many errors in the BC. What does this mean? Even if he was born in the US, he has no legitimate BC, fraud and cover up charges by many people are in order. Either one of these theories (which I believe are true) could be exposed any time. Someone out there knows the truth and I pray they come forth. No, I am not crazy and I have a Masters in Education and am well respected in my community! There, my beloved posters, that settles it!

You are on to something #2. I truly believe that every word you say and very thought you think is a prayer.

The Alinskyites have used their system to demoralize us. The more we whine, the worse things get. The best defense is a good offense. Pick yourself up and get busy.

Oh man, #3, do I ever relate. Half of the country´s in a depression, of the mental kind, The hardest thing to accept is that so many of my fellow Americans have turned in their brains to the government. But I can´t blame them because they are smothered daily with liberal propaganda. They don´t know the facts & worse, they don´t know they aren´t given the facts. We have GOT to stop the MSM, Demand objective reporting or BOYCOTT! Refuse to watch. Get your news online. No ratings for the MSM, no sponsors, No sponsors, no business. Somebody´s GOT TO lead this charge & it has to be perfectly organized and in play on a national level by the mid-terms. Collectively, we have so much power! We just need a leader. Sarah or Newt would be perfect for this role.

#5 I am not so sure....not so sure we have ever faced anything as big as this. It´s not Obama. It´s 70 million people willing to vote for him...TWICE. That´s a huge problem, and no, I don´t think we´ve ever overcome anything this big. I mean, we can´t overcome we...and roughly half of "we" like this crud.

Try tomato therapy.

It works for me.

I have made the transition from being a highly paid consulting engineer to being an old man in a funny hat who has planted more acres of tomatoes than he can weed in a week.

Gardening can become quite addictive and the threat of it blossoming into something like farming always looms.

Seize some empty real estate.

Borrow a tiller.

It´s healthy, wholesome and humbling.

Tomatoes don´t say much but they are great listeners.

I can´t remember if I posted this on the original thread, but...

"The average age of the world´s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence (moderate, fast, slow, fastest):

From bondage to spiritual faith; (1492 to pre-Revolutionary War period)
From spiritual faith to great courage; (immediately prior to Revolutionary War)
From courage to liberty; (start-win-post Revolutionary War)
From liberty to abundance; (1800´s through mid-20th Century)
From abundance to complacency; (late 20th Century, speeding back up)
From complacency to apathy; (1995-2008, each phase becoming shorter)
From apathy to dependence; (we´re transiting this phase now, zooming toward handing our lives over to complete nanny-state dependence)
From dependence back into bondage." (we´re laying the foundation to move into this phase now, how quickly we succumb depends on us)

Alexander Tyler, 1887 (rough time frames by clayusmcret)

I´ve read all of the posts from yesterday and to place blame on Rush, or to write that there is a "pity-party" going on is failure to recognize what we are living through at this time.
It´s a willingness to be told one thing and experiencing something totally different. I think most conservatives see what is happening to our country and don´t know how to prevent it from happening. We have the ideas and strategy however NO ONE able to get past the MSM blockade.
I honestly think that if we could get people to listen to Conservatives and if they were able to implement policy the country could be saved.
The media and academia pad the liberals pockets, and have skin the in game. They have paved the way for liberals to be in office. It´s all a vicious cycle.
All of the American´s who have chosen to apply for disability and not work, have allies in the Media and in Gov´t who act more like enablers to willing participants who´d rather live off others than work hard to be independent. It´s easier. Until THAT stops and people quit attacking success, we are living in a dying country.

#2, perhaps the TV Bible series "asserted" that, but my Bible doesn´t. In fact, 2 Chronicles 7:14 (the NKJV and not the TV Bible) tells me to do the exact opposite of what your Bible tells you. I´ll go ahead and go with that. Good luck with yours.

#10 I like your style.

I´m also, a bit of, a doer. After the election, I was terribly drained and disappointed, I felt I needed to get my mind off politics, therefore decided to start a business designing womens accessories and gift items. This coming week, I´m launching my line. Who said it´s never too late? Even in my seventh decade, one can still pursue dreams and enjoy trying to make it in the business world. Additionally, I also hold down a full time job working for a medical device company. I´m not depressed anymore, and don´t have time to think much about politics these days, but consider myself one blessed woman who loves the challenge and most importantly, for me, it´s a lot of fun.

I refuse to let this fraudulent and corrupt president dampen my spirit. Right now, we may be in a depressed state economically, as a nation, but I truly believe we´ll right this severely listing ship. It may never be what it once was though, it may be different but The USA will survive.

On another note, as grandparents, it´s our responsibility to pass on to our grandchildren, knowledge and skills about life and the American Way that we experienced growing up in this great nation. Something they are not learning in school.

Yes,#20 words do have power and meaning. Read The book of James in the NT of any Bible. There is a whole chapter that will tell you all about the power of the poisonous tongue.

A commenter had it right yesterday. Rush is in a very tricky position. I doubt if you Rush haters would survive having to parse every word, every day, because the left and the Feds are watching and listening to every one of them, just waiting to jump on you and shut you down for good. With the election coming up next year, I will take Rush anyway I can get him. Remember, he is only human people.

If people are getting upset over him being a little down in the dumps, imagine the storm if he really unloaded what he is thinking. Twenty million or more listeners a week is a lot of power to be envious about.

I live in "downstate" Illinois and I am a conservative. Do I ever even "think" about visiting Chicago, with its drive-by shootings? Why? This huge city is filled with crime, gun-carrying criminals & gangs and the most corrupt politicians anywhere. Do I feel "safe" even staying overnight or walking down a Chicago street? No! Because I fear that people there have no respect for me and just want to take what I hav; I fear being "mugged" or becoming a victim of crime. The Corrupt Chicago politicians have destroyed our state government; Illinois is broke and all the taxpaying citizens in Illinois live in fear of being "mugged" by them or becoming a victim of crime. The big cities and the "wealthy" politicians seem to be "killing" our country. I agree with Rush.

Great countries (and this is still a great country...in temporary bondage) remain great not because of their wealth or their military power but because of the spirit of their people. And America is not so much a place as it is a belief system. The Marxists may have temporary possession of the place, but they will never stamp out the belief system.

America is an inevitable yearning of the human spirit. We will prevail.

I read this thread and it echos my concerns, many which come from the depth of our souls.
Now we know intimately how those in history felt when facing similar situations with such great odds.
We must not succumb, as hard as it may be there is opportunity here, opportunity to stand up and lead. It is up to us, each of us individually, to to find a way to apply our talents to pass on our heritage and to build the foundation for the future.
If we had just been ravaged by a force of nature, like a hurricane, we would get up, no matter how tired, and move forward. We must do the same for our country. It is up to us to reclaim it and to rebuild it. Many of us will not see the fruits of our labor, that does not mean we should not labor.
There is still an opportunity to sow the seeds for tomorrow -- educate the young around us, get information out to the masses, even one person at a time, our faith needs to be shared and strengthened, political and media systems need to be abolished or taken back, businesses need to be built--the list is long -- pick any one and throw your energy in to it. If you see a need or something that must be changed use your American ingenuity and God given abilities to address it.
We have lost battles but we have not lost the war--please do not surrender!
We are not yet slaves, and those who are, need to be reminded of the taste of freedom. Remember always - through Him all things are possible.

Wisdom states that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when the wicked rule, the people suffer.

===>> I blame government schools. Literally.

A self-sufficient, free people cannot long be free when forced by law, generation after generation, to enroll their children into government run education monopolies, staffed by unionists enamored with socialist politics, coupled with a vested interest in turning out future voters who will vote the ´correct way.´

All paid for by YOU.

And that´s why we have Pres. Obama.

Maintaining liberty is a never-ending struggle. There is always someone willing to take it away "for a better society." From Social Security, which was an old-age pension check that is now treated like a national Disney E ticket to cover "supplemental income", Medicare, SSI, and so on. Everyone has a problem, and a government solution. When a solution comes around, we re-cast the problem to maintain the program growth. And that program becomes a "civil right" before long, when the first cut is proposed.

First we whine about the unfair distribution of our prosperity, then we attack our very prosperity to spread it "fairly", not only to our fellow Americans, but to the developing economies as well, then we wonder why 90 million Americans are not working, and rail about the crummy economy and government. Food stamps have replaced the soup kitchens, and the portions are bigger with less inconvenience. With Obamacare looming, even public employers are going Galt.

This country is in denial about nearly everything that made it great. It was a beacon of freedom, and occasionally its hammer. We´ve become something else, particularly since 1990. We have no "common enemy", like the Russian Soviets, and for that we have no common national cause that binds left and right to the middle as did anti-communism.

Our national banking system is untrustworthy. It is held together by a series of bailouts between middle-class fleecings by the best politicians money can buy. The stock market levitates on government money pretending it´s really not there - and we´re told it´s an economic resurgence. Money has no value except what the Fed says it has. The Europeans are confiscating savings.

1929 is coming. Maybe 1933.

In the course of the conversation, let´s not forget what Rush and Sarah know. To get the left wing press to pay attention you have to make a short controversial statement. Rush also said recently that "For the first time in his adult life he is ashamed of his country". Sarah used the "Big Gulp" visual and "Obama you lied". As a result the leftist press actually have to dig in and investigate the rest of the message if only to try and find out if there´s something smear worthy. Rush is doing that here as well. Believe me, the Lame-Streams will run with it. More LoFo outreach. The hope is, in the end, that they will hear the rest of the message.

If you´re going to depend on Rush Limbaugh´s analysis, suggestions, guidance, exhortations, advice, please remember that he openly discusses the rabbit hole he preserves for himself if the country goes to heck. Most of us don´t have the money for a move to New Zealand and it is my belief that a true American wouldn´t even consider such an abandonment of our country and our fellow citizens. Listen to Mr. Limbaugh if you want, but retain just a tiny little thread of skepticism.

A little history lesson... During the American Revolution, only one-third of America wanted and were actively involved in freedom...

We now are a country of 300+ million, and if only 70 million voted for Democrats [even if not legally] there is more than hope for the rest of us...

America needs leadership... and to keep the House and take back the Senate... Unfortunately the current GOP is feckless and weak... and hates Conservatives... Therein lies the problem... And signed some agreement to never contest elections ...

Rush understands this and the Left´s hatred of him...

Join Senate Conservatives and only vote for conservatives... Teach your children and grandchildren at home... Get involved locally ... and pray for America... "If My People, who are called by My Name..."

#14 - Because of Rush Limbaugh’s philanthropy as evidenced by his annual leukemia fund-raising and personal financial generosity, his personal and financial support of the program for children of deceased Marines, and gifts he gives to callers, it would not be surprising to learn that he may be involved in a personal PATRIOTIC effort behind-the-scenes that cannot be revealed to his audience. Rush is a patriot, a man of faith, dignity and generosity.

Well said, #36! Rush is one of the very few Republicans to stand up for what´s right.

And at least Rush has the courage to stand up for Sarah Palin and Benjamin Carson.

It´s interesting to note not only what people say, but what they don´t say. Have you noticed the overwhelming silence and cowardice of our Republican party leaders when it comes to standing up for heroes on our side?

Aside from a few, such as Thomas Sowell, Andrew Breitbart, Hannity, Liz Cheney, Rush and Levin (may be missing a couple more, I don´t know), I cannot believe the so-called Republicans, cowards in my opinion, in elected office, the media and talking head experts have such a lack of morals, that they can´t even stand up for what they´re supposed to believe in. They are the ones destroying our party.

#18 – Indeed, the leadership in Texas of Governor Perry and Senator Cruz is outstanding. Governor Perry should be given serious consideration for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Some noted figures in history have made a comeback (Churchill, Lincoln, Reagan).

#19 – Photo IDs should be mandatory for federal elections; no photo ID, no vote.

#38 – Immigrants who fled countries with oppressive leadership have seen the transition occurring in this country. Natural born Americans have not.

Agree with those who see history repeating itself, via Marxism, now in this country.
I anxiously watched t.v. during the Kennedy administration. Believe me, those cold War years were filled with fear, deep abiding fear, and then rockets in Cuba ready to be launched against our mainland. And I saw Nikita Kruschief (sp?) take his shoe off and bang it against the interview table and shout to President Kennedy that we may have halted his rockets, but he would destroy us from within by using our own laws against us. These times are a culmination of that era and I am not surprised. Just sad, from seeing it all unfold.
Rush probably feels the same. He loves this country.

First of all, Rush is already doing more than his share to save this country. He has been the spokesman for conservatism for almost 25 years - he has been the one holding back the bursting dam of liberalism. If it weren´t for Rush, we would have been in this predicament many years ago.

Second, he was merely stating the facts and all of those facts point to the unmistakeable conclusion that the country is dying. Rush is not happy about it, but how does this get reversed? Does anyone seriously think all those mooches falsely collecting disability checks will stand up and give them back and get jobs? More and more of the burden of supporting these freeloaders is falling on fewer and fewer working taxpayers. This cannot be sustained.

I am appalled at the smart people I talk to that are totally tuned out of politics - as long as they can party - they´re good. How do we get through? It is ironic that the more access to technology and information that we have, the more able to cherrypick and block ourselves off from reality. Somehow I would like to require that every person of voting age listen to Rush at least 5 hours a week - then maybe they´d get a clue.

It has taken a long time--over a century--to soften this nation into such a malleable state that a destroyer like Obama could be widely regarded as a savior. The Communist Manifesto, the educational philosophy of John Dewey, the gradual replacement of biblical morality by psychology (the medicalization of sin), "great art beaten down" (to use Yeats´s words), well disguised at first, have gained entrance into our culture and taken deep root. Recovery will require the strongest societal medicine--cultural "chemotherapy"--and well might kill the patient (American society) before it kills the disease.

Weaning America from the drug of government dependence is a gargantuan task. The ruin that crept in on little feet is now bellowing triumphantly from the middle of the street, daring anyone to challenge. Anyone taking purposeful aim at this monster and pulling the trigger knows that if the shot isn´t mortal, the beast will turn and devour the shooter.

Yes, it has been discouraging that almost no prominent person on the conservative-libertarian side has been courageous--or reckless--enough to tackle issues like eligibility, phony birth certificate, rampant cheating in elections, the habitual buying of votes and business support, unabashed sultan-style living of the figurehead, and so on. By and large, Rush has done a good job educating and entertaining his listeners, but turning the tide by himself is impossible.

I spent four months away from this site after concluding that all our combined efforts wouldn´t prevent the collapse of society and our way of life. Raising society back to its former magnificence could happen only after the razing. Obama and the Democrats are hastening that day. (continued)

Employment is increasing but only about as much as the population is increasing, so the percentage of people with a job has been about the same for 4 years. Unemployment is down mainly because labor force participation has been falling continuously for years. As Limbaugh says, many of these people are going on the dole in some form probably never to return to work. Pretty soon fewer than half of the work age people will be working. It´s not sustainable. Eventually the government will let the people dependent on it down. We are headed for a future in which grandmaw sifts through garbage bins for something to eat.

But a dying nation? No way. We´ve seen worse.

# 14 must know that Limbaugh told Howard Kurtz in a Washington Post interview Feb 5, 2008 ( " Limbaugh on McCain : It´s Better to Be Right All The Time " )
that if McCain became the Republican nominee,
he wanted Hillary or Obama
to win the presidential election.
Limbaugh didn´t want conservatives in the House and Senate
having to compromise
their principles by supporting McCain.
Limbaugh said McCain was the politically the same as Obama and Hillary-which is ludicrous.
Limbaugh did everything in his power for the next 9 months to besmirch and lie about McCain because he wanted Obama to win.
Just as he did in 2012 to Romney.
I also find it extremely offensive that Limbaugh tries to sell his iced tea by tying the tea to a fund that
helps the families of fallen soldiers.

" Rush Limbaugh has been relentless in his criticism of John McCain, prompting suggestions that he may have to soften his stance if the Arizona senator wins the nomination and faces off against Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
But if that happens, Limbaugh said in an interview over the weekend, he would rather see the Democrats win the White House."
No patriot would ever , ever say that.

There is nothing I can do but watch the fall of America as I watched the fall of our culture that was the forerunner of what is happening now. Who to blame? Lazy, greedy, hypocritical politicians in my opinion. Are they intentionally negligent or self-interest blinds them. If the Democrats in the Senate were worthy, a Communist wouldn´t have free rein over the country and putting a Marxist over every facet of government. Trust them? Believe what they say? Christie should be an example of how they they will say and do what wins elections - for them. Good men in office doing nothing could have stopped long ago the fulfillment of Nikita Krushchev´s prediction of how Americans would bring the fall.

Education, entertainment, information, even religion are under the increasing sway of what Voegelin called "gnosticism": his catch all term for anything that undermines what is orderly, virtuous, faithful, and great in human civilization.

Is there a way to prevent the cataclysmic melt down of American society and its (mostly) benign influence on other less advanced societies? Is the American way of life truly dying? It is if citizens fail to recognize how we got to where we are, and who is to blame. The Democratic Party has become a totally gnostic entity, and the fragmenting Republican party is better only by comparison; at best, only the slightly less malignant of two evils.

Only a return to founding principles and an earnest effort to rededicate ourselves to our Creator and Redeemer could redirect this wayward State from its path toward extinction. Endtime biblical prophesy in Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation does not appear to include a western power in the dramatis personae of the titanic final battle; this would seem to indicate that America will not pull up from its civilizational nosedive.

At this moment I am listening, as I am frequently wont to do, to Churchill´s 1940 oration "In a solemn hour," during the time when British civilization was in its direst straits. "(We must) fight to the end, be it bitter or be it glorious; nay, if we fight to the end, it can only be glorious."

Churchill´s Britain, however, was being attacked from without by an enemy with a recognizable face, and was mightily resisting its Nazi attackers. America is being attacked from within by ostensibly benign forces, with the approval of half or more of the electorate. Churchill had an easier sell.

#39, with all due respect to Thomas Sowell, whom I admire extravagantly, and Liz Cheney, none of the people whom you cited holds elective office. They´re commentators, and they can say and do whatever they like without constraint. No one will hold them to account if they espouse a policy that turns out to be disastrous. None of them has to worry about whether voting the right way will get them thrown out of office in the next election cycle.

In the end, talk is cheap.

In 1917, a 76 year-old man saved France. Georges Clemenceau became Prime Minister of a country on the verge of collapse and proceeded to revitalize it by relentlessly and ruthlessly waging war against all enemies of the Republic, foreign and domestic. Waging war was not just a figure of speech. During the course of a long political career, Clemenceau shot people personally and had them shot professionally. He was feared, loathed, and absolutely essential when the time came to do what was necessary.

A decade later, an ancient Clemenceau said that France would fall not because of German strength but because of French weakness. He said "The secret is this: Every Frenchman passionately loves France...and despises every other Frenchman for demeaning her." He died before it happened.

As these threads amply demonstrate, we are no longer united. We haven´t been states since the courts decided the commerce clause means everything and the Tenth Amendment nothing. We are barely even Americans anymore, and cannot agree amongst ourselves what that means.

I have no answers, just as we have no leaders. I do know this: If we did have a Clemenceau among us today, we would not tolerate him, much less nominate him. We will pay a heavy price for our lack of vision.

#48, that´s kind of my point, our elected politicians are more concerned with their own standing in the establishment at any cost than they are with standing up for what´s right and what they believe in and defending good conservatives who are getting brutalized every day ad nauseum.

It tells me a lot about the lack of character of these silent, go-along Republicans. Who has put our country in this mess? Palin? Carson? Nope. your "elected officials" who cowtow to the Left.

I see the establishment Republicans as solely concerned with winning elections and yes, that is a very important part. But when you lose most of your ethics along the way, and we try to win elections with incredibly weak "conservatives", or who is deemed the "least offensive" to the Left, then I see that as cowardice and trying to out-liberal the liberals, which never works.

And some talk is cheap, that is for sure.

#27. Have you forgotten that Rush is profoundly deaf?
I am sure he wishes he could be out and around crowds of people, but he cannot hear them speak!
I planted tomatoes Nov. 7 and had a bumper crop all winter (I live in a warm clime). Kept myself and 2 friends in tomatoes all winter.
Now I am out of my winter slumber, more ticked off than I was last Nov. and I am ready to DO something about taking my country back.
We can all start by calling out our own Reps and Congress critters.
We put them where they are, and we can remove them. Call yours tomorrow and remind them of that.
And watch how they vote on every bill and hold them to task.
And to Mr. Obama I say "He who laughs last laughs best" and I intend to be the one laughing.

Broad generalizations are cheap, too.

I look at our representatives in Washington and I see many good men and women who are standing for principles, standards and values. Paul Ryan, Marco Rubion, Rand Paul, Jason Chaffetz, Eric Cantor, Michele Bachmann, Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, Jeb Hensarling, Jeff Sessions, and many more. We have excellent conservative governors who are making difficult decisions that may put them at risk in their next elections, so the sweeping accusation that all of ours are simply out for reelection is unfair and undeserved. Perry, Jindal, Martinez, Haley, Scott, Brewer, Walker and others are standing up to Washington in critical ways. Some of these may have done something that we don´t all agree with, but our side has the best people and we need to be helping them, not just yelling at them.

It´s way too easy to simply wave a hand and say a pox on all their houses, but such rhetoric is unfair, unhelpful and unproductive.

To fix the problem, find it´s source.
Politicians were put in place by the voters. Voters have been fed a 24/7 diet of inaccurate or incomplete information. They aren´t equipped to make informed decisions.
In the end, the MSM is responsible, not so much for their erroneous reporting but instead for their omissions and lack of objectivity.

I listened to Rush on Friday and the phrase, "a dying country" really hit my heart. I believe it is true.

However, at long last the correct term for the death rattle has become an open opinion. Marxism and Communism are now openly used to describe the man who lives in Our House and his party. Finally, the true label has been applied. Americans recognize communism and do not want to live under a tyrannical dictatorship that sows only misery.

Applying the terms Marxism and Communism to this regime may be our saving grace, even for the Lo Foes.

One example, Greg Gutfield (bless his young heart)of the 5 described openly how the WeatherUnderground group were domestic terrorists and communists. He marked the Robert Redford movie and Mrs. Will Smith´s movie as vehicles to lionize 60s radicals as heroes rather than murderers. Not even Bob B. argued with the label communists. It was mentioned several times and it never got a rise out of B.B., either he was on his best behavior, or he has no argument with the label communist.

The biggest problem we face is the Republican establishment. There is little difference between them and their friends across the aisle they are so eager to "reach across" to. If any of them would have stood up to the Dems, or at least attempted to do the things they were elected to do, we would not be in this mess. It is very hard to see change when most of those in the leadership of the House & Senate are helping to secure our demise.

It´s always been understood that we might not be able to maintain the grand experiment. Haven´t you heard? Nothing lasts forever. So if our beloved nation morphs into something else, then I say, so be it - not that I won´t do everything in my meager power to prevent it.

Someone here mentioned Clemenceau, and if I didn´t misunderstand, apparently in order to justify violent/unlawful means to prevent our slipping into "something else." I, however, think we must be true to ourselves and feel the end would surely not justify turning ourselves in to a travesty of who we are.

I have several European and British friends, most or all of whom live under something similar to the type of government Obama and other libs are aiming for. And I must tell you - they seem to be doing just fine. Their governments may not be ideal from our POV, but these friends don´t seem to be much worse off than me - if at all.

I also feel that the problem in the conservative movement, as with most things, does lie within. There are elements here who render the accusations against us fairly plausible, as to selfishness, greed, hatred, racism, not caring about the poor, etc. I think if we want gov´t off our backs, we need to be more active in doing the jobs ourselves, and in making the ones who give us a bad name not feel so welcome.

And since major elements of conservatism are *not* self-evident (e.g., why the rich should not have their very socks taxed off their feet) - the fact that we have not concentrated on patient education of the masses is also an internal issue that must be blamed on ourselves.

Rush was relentless? Really? In 2008, John McCain had a campaign headquartered in our city and two weeks before the election, he pulled out. He had already given up. We needed someone who was truly going to be relentless up until the day of the election. That wasn´t John McCain.

I still voted for him but I was quite disappointed. Sitting home isn´t the answer either but the comments about Rush and John McCain are ill founded. Rush knew what he was talking about.

Exactly #59

McCain PULLED OUT of the race because of the financial Armageddon that the MSM blew out of proportion to say that the GOP was to blame, so they could roll out the red carpet for BO.

Just because the MSM was able to promote McCain as the GOP candidate, doesn´t mean that he deserves support. McCain wouldn´t even say that BO´s idea were socialist! McCain just kept saying that BO was a "good guy".

Well, that "Good Guy" has succeeded in destroying OUR liberties!

I stand by Rush and his minimal support of McCain. I had to hold my nose when I voted.

Rush is his own man. He doesn´t need nor seek approval. That is one reason why I´ve listened to him for 25 years.

I have called McCain´s office several times since 0 won, and though I am no longer a resident of Arizona, I give my name and address and ask the person answering the phone if ole John still wants to stand by those words.

#27, thank you for your selfless military service and for your continuing defense of our country in the classroom and elsewhere. That you suffered disability in the service of your country is both heroic and heartbreaking. The words, ‘thank you’ are not at all sufficient to convey the gratitude that we feel.

#33, thank you for the link to Mr. Limbaugh’s transcript.

Rush Limbaugh is frustrated. He explained the areas of trouble and the indefensible reasons for them. As an example, he cited the ‘weighing’ of statistics that showed black radio shows as having been more popular than they actually were and how and why those false numbers were created and accepted. He reveals to us how the same methods are being employed now to hide from us that the alarming numbers of the unemployed are even greater than being presented and how the rhetoric of ‘recovery’ is skewed . His, ‘we are living in a dying country’ statement was laid down before us as a challenge – he knew that his words would spark a snap of the heads up – a visceral reaction.

Mr. Limbaugh is doing what he does best – he is right where he should be. He continues to use his position and his influence to obtain information and to share that information with millions and we should appreciate his diligence. We may agree with him or disagree but we should all be united in the opinion that his is a voice that should be widely heard and very carefully considered.

I remember Rush saying he wouldn´t give up until everyone in America agreed with him. Sad to say, it seems like fewer people are agreeing with him now than in the past. Is it because we are not a moral country anymore? Too many are too greedy? The horrible state-run media? I don´t know, but I read Lucianne, then play music the rest of the day. I am still down from the election in November.

Obviously, we´re reliving the 1930s...only with much more destructive policies in place. In the 30s most people still wanted to work. There was a work ethic and pride of self-sufficiency back then. Today, government just pays everyone to stay home and people have no pride...they are happy to take handouts now. Anyway, we have been heading this way for most of the last 100 years. But most of it escalated in the 1960s and progressively got worse. We can point fingers all we want, but the truth is that WE, THE PEOPLE, are to blame. We did NOT stay vigilent. We all became complacent & distracted and never believed this could ever happen. We could´ve seen it coming if we paid attention, but we didn´t. Kruschev knew we´d buckle from the inside. He helped put many of the factors in place. Here we are, all dumbstruck, with a giant challenge ahead if we want to save our country. Now most good people feel overwhelmed & can´t even motivate themselves into action. Only WE can fix this.

Night shift RN - I need as much juicing as possible. We have so many new posters over the last few years, I´m stunned.

We are living in a dying country because the lowest common denominator has been allowed to define the American experience now. It´s not positive. WE here may live our lives in the positive, work hard, contribute, take care of our own, but that is not the wider experience. I see at work in both a patient/ family member interaction with us providers and amongst some segments of co-workers a great disconnect from fundamentals that allowed for strong family support and strong community support. The basic foundations of they US. were allowed to erode.

Cont´d...

I still think that this election was won by massive voter fraud..I saw it here in Ohio.and if you remember right before the election BHO seemed defeated..visually, verbally and voila..amazing..he won..I think he really did think he was going down.there was pretty reliable info that his MIL was telling her Chicago friends that they were moving to a big estate in Hawaii after the election.I´ll bet she is ticked..she doesn´t like living in the WH....
and yes, easy for some to say Rush needs to get out on the stump..and as someone pointed out..he is DEAF!!!!!!!!Geeeze, people...I also prefer him doing what he is doing, I don´t want some lunatic who wants to make a name for himself..doing something...stupid..
as for someone who said Romney´s campaign events were depressing etc. sure would like to know which ones you actually attended..I went to 2 and there were thousands there, many had to be turned away, there was simply no room..and they were in OHIO...crowd on one estimated at 30,000. P.S. As for what Rush said - what´s wrong with truthfully expressing what he felt? We´re all being confronted with mild future shock on a regular basis these days. And it´s a pregnant and complex topic (i.e., let me count the ways we seem to be dying, not to mention the causes).

Coming home to downtown Atlanta from out of the country a few days ago and seeing one of the few remaining beautiful & graceful old buildings replaced by something shockingly ugly, effectively/subtly marring the whole city -- it was clear something was actually dead as a doornail (a dream of beauty). And whom to blame? Hard to say, but bless people like, yes, the late Jackie O. for trying to prevent the death of urban beauty in this land, and excuse the straying from the topic but the wandering may be more relevant than it seems.

Benghazi, Libya - A Boyish-Looking American Diplomat was meeting for the first time with the Islamist leaders of eastern Libya’s most formidable militias. It was Sept. 9, 2012. Gathered on folding chairs in a banquet hall by the Mediterranean, the Libyans warned of rising threats against Americans from extremists in Benghazi. An American guard discreetly touched his gun. “Since Benghazi isn’t safe, it is better for you to leave now,” Mohamed al-Gharabi, the leader of the Rafallah al-Sehati Brigade, later recalled telling the

I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended

On Sunday night, I wrote a short post soliciting stories from my readers about how Obamacare has already immediately impacted their lives. I asked that all of these emails be directed to ObamacareMakesMeSick@Yahoo.com. I expected a response; I didn’t expect it to be quite so overwhelming. Over the last 24 hours, my inbox has been flooded with hundreds of emails. What you’ll read in this post represents a portion of them. I’m only one guy (with a fulltime job and twins) — I wasn’t able to go through every single message just yet. Some, I left out because the information

The recent theft of massive amounts of highly sensitive U.S. military equipment from Libya is far worse than previously thought, Fox News has learned, with raiders swiping hundreds of weapons that are now in the hands of militia groups aligned with terror organizations and the Muslim Brotherhood. The equipment, as Fox News previously reported, was used for training in Libya by U.S. Special Forces. The training team, which was funded by the Pentagon, has since been pulled, partly in response to the overnight raids last August. According to State Department and military sources, dozens of highly armored vehicles called GMV´s, provided

Details buried in the United Nations report on the Syrian chemical weapons attack point directly at elite military formations loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, some of the strongest findings to date that suggest the government gassed its own people. A weapons inspector collecting samples near Damascus. The inspectors, instructed to investigate the attack but not to assign blame, nonetheless listed the precise compass directions of flight for two rocket strikes that appeared to lead back toward the government’s elite redoubt in Damascus, Mount Qasioun, which overlooks and protects neighborhoods and Mr. Assad’s presidential palace and where his Republican Guard and the army’s

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
