90 Million Americans Are
No Longer Looking for Work

Gateway Pundit, by Rachel Pulaski

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 4/7/2013 6:11:52 AM

In March, the number of Americans who dropped out of the labor force increased by 663,000 which adds up to a record 90 million Americans who are no longer looking for employment. Zero Hedge reported: This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. And even worse, the labor force participation rate plunged from an already abysmal 63.5% to 63.3% - the lowest since 1979!But at least it helped with the now painfully grotesque propaganda

Comments:
Obviously, that number is staggering.

The link to the WH statement says it all. There is no comparison to WH projections to show actual results versus projected result. Why? Because the WH has no plan!
Question: Other than blaming Congress and crying about sequester, name an Obama initiative to get the economy "moving forward?"

I hate Obama and big government as much as the next Conservative. I´m also convinced the economy is in much worse shape than the media portray.

That said, I´m having a difficult time believing that number. There are only around 300 million Americans to begin with. Take away children and elderly and that doesn´t leave enough working-age adults to support that statistic.

Our current population is about 314 million.
With out excluding new born people or people legitimately retired says that
90million divided 314million then multiplied by 100 equals 28.66% unemployed. Take out the people from new-born to 18 years old.
about 1/3 of the population. The unemployed percentage leaps up to:
90millino divided by 209 million then X100=
44% unemployed. it becomes much higher if one takes out us over 65ers.
My point something is very wrong with the 90million unemployed number.
Anyone help me out on my old fashion arithmetic.

My wife was making 6 figures in 2008, she got laid off at the end of the year. She is now working part time as a church secretary. I am a desktop tech that got outsourced in May of 2011. no one wants to hire a 62 year old desktop tech so I have burned thru the unemployment. I am listed as no longer looking for work but that is not true. I send out at least 4 resumes a day. We have lost more than 60% of our income during this "regime", and it was no fault of ours other than age.

WASHINGTON – It´s not a glitzy job. In fact, it´s kind of boring. But these days, the Office of the Surgeon General is at the center of a political storm -- as Republicans stall the president´s pick for the post of America´s top doc. The controversy over nominee Vivek Murthy, though, raises two questions: Who would he replace, and does America even need a surgeon general anymore? The answer to the first question is Rear Adm. Boris Lushniak, not a household name since his appointment by President Obama last July. But the answer to the second question is open for debate. While the title

For example, they won´t disclose details about contracts with the device´s manufacturer, Harris Corp., insisting they are protecting both police tactics and commercial secrets. Nobody was surprised when Attorney General Eric Holder decided the special prosecutor requested by Sen. Ted Cruz to investigate the IRS scandal isn´t needed. Why? Because Holder and his boss in the Oval Office refuse to make the same mistake that led to Richard Nixon´s undoing in the Watergate scandal. Nixon allowed his attorney general to name a special prosecutor to investigate Watergate, confident that his Justice Department loyalists could contain any ensuing damage. But Nixon miscalculated and it ended disastrously for him with the infamous Saturday Night Massacre. Nixon fired special prosecutor Archibald Cox, thus precipitating resignations from Attorney

Another day, another unwelcome poll for the White House. Pew reports that Hispanic support for Obamacare has lurched downwards from 60-plus percent in September 2013 to 47 percent. That matters a lot, because it possibly means there’s less chance that the GOP’s campaign against Obamacare will prompt the large Hispanic turnout that President Barack Obama needs in November to keep Sen. Harry Reid in charge of the Senate. So far, Democrats have expected Latinos’ support for Obamacare will help them vote Democratic in November. But the poll showing tepid support for Obamacare might force Obama to spend more time and money pushing Obamacare up

The provision requires insurers to allow patients with federally-subsidized health insurance plans a 90-day grace period to pay their premiums before canceling the coverage. Insurers are on the hook for the first 30 days of care, if the customer never pays up, but doctors will be stuck without payment for any services between 30 and 90 days, until the coverage is canceled. Is Barack Obama simply too busy to be Chief Executive of the United States? Apparently. One of the primary functions of the president is to keep the nation safe, to preserve it from its enemies. To do that effectively, one would actually have to maintain something of a consistent level of attention to the moving pieces that directly influence how future events will unfold. None other than the truly sycophantic thinks for a second that President Obama cares a whit for anything that does not involve fundamentally altering the social composition of this country. Or golf. Black students are more likely to be suspended from U.S. public schools — even as tiny preschoolers. The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department´s civil rights arm. The suspensions — and disparities — begin at the earliest grades. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said.
