Attorney General Eric Holder:
Jail time for blacks is too long

Washington Times, by Cheryl K. Chumley

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 4/5/2013 9:53:14 AM

Attorney General Eric Holder expressed “concern” Thursday evening that black men are unfairly served with longer prison sentences than white men and that America’s prison system demands overhaul. “Too many people go to too many prisons for far too long for no good law enforcement reason,” Mr. Holder said, in remarks to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in New York, Politico reported. “It is time to ask ourselves some fundamental questions about our criminal justice system. … It is time to examine our systems and determine what truly works.” Mr. Holder said in the Politico report

I despise Holder as much as his Supreme Leader 0bama. If he had his way this alleged "highest law officer in the land" would have none of them go to jail. Those Alinskyites thrive on chaos and upheaval and encourage anarchy.

I must have missed the memo that said Justice is no longer color blind. Maybe Holder should explain a little further that the black prison terms are longer because they usually have committed previous crimes and are of the more violent nature.

state laws oftentimes require sentences that are too harsh for the specific case

How does that discriminate against blacks? If the sentence is crime related ... doesn´t everyone who commits that crime get a similar sentence?

Read "Injustice - Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department" by J. Christian Adams, which describes his observations as an attorney in the DOJ Civil Rights Division. The biases in favor of blacks and against whites in civil rights cases are examined. Remeber the "New Black Panther Party" members and their clubs at the Philadelphia polling place in 2008. Not investigated by DOJ. Remember "Operation Fast and Furious" gun-running to Mexico. "Department of Justice"? Really?

Holder thinks in one color only.

Actually, ´´too,´´ many people break the law but this AG apparently does not agree with the oath of office to which he swore. The rule of law is the AG´s first priority, but this one ignores his duty. Instead he is all about the shade of EVERYONE´S skin?!!!

Holder certainly does not represent the spirit of Lady Liberty, who wears a blindfold which is symbolically designed to represent America´s rule of law uninfluenced by personal prejudices. ...Holder seems to be of just the opposite opinion as, ´´Justice,´´ is not respected by the rhetoric nor the actions of 0bama´s prejudiced AG. mmm mmm mmm

Today´s statist/dem pols have no shame, disregard equality & apparently have little respect for the USA´s rule of law & American culture in general. That corrupted party has become exactly what its current tenured leaders ranted against in their radical militant days of the 1960s-70s: an elitist clique.

You know I hate Holder and he is a racist, but, Holder is correct with respect to one particular issue here. When the cocaine problem of the 80s turned into the crack epidemic, they changed the laws. They began handing out extremely lengthy and harsher sentences for crack cocaine than for any other illegal drug. That actually DID create a disproportionately higher incidence of black young men going to jail for life for possession for sales. They never completely corrected the problem. Crack is still punished harder than meth (which is actually a worse drug an an even greater epidemic nationwide).
