One of the most boring weeks during my time in Washington has given the press an opportunity to indulge in a gross habit: inflating Hillary Clinton’s already considerable reputation. The Los Angeles Times ridiculously and melodramatically says that this week Clinton “return[ed]” to the “public stage”—a location from which she has never moved an inch since her husband won his first gubernatorial campaign in Arkansas in 1978—“for the opening scene in what many expect to be a carefully plotted performance concluding with another presidential try.” Clinton sits atop the polls.
Even the women who claim they are not liberal democrats up here in MA, are over the moon about hillary clinton. When I ask them exactly what she has done, one of the first things they point to is her "success" in the middle east. You just have to shake your head and walk away.
While mine is no doubt a minority opinion, I do not expect Hillary to run for the job. While she LOVES the limelight, I don´t believe that she wants to go through the long arduous primary process again.
And she would have to do that again.
Her 2008 campaign was run by her White House staff leader Maggie Williams, who did an awful job of campaign management, which was full of infighting. Once Obama won the Iowa Caucus, it was downhill for Herself.
She will of course be eight years older in 2016, and her energy will be tapped out. She said she just wants to be a grandmother. Pray for Chelsea to come through.
I hope to God not! All those people who wanted HER and got Obama will be clambering on board en masse. BUT this is a woman intimately involved with Benghazi, who made $100,000 "investing"while reading the WSJournal while pregnant, who allowed Bill to run roughshod over women right and left and who was involved in multi shady land deals---doesn´t anyone recall? (She "don´t recall".) Plus she was not a particular good S. of State-- except for puttting on air miles. Are we better off in Iran, Iraq, N. Korea, Pakistan etc. Are we more respected? And yet the Republicans will probably be so p.c. as not to mention any of this, a la Romney or McCaine, who wouldn´t even say the word Hussein let alone go into Rev. Wright or Obama´s actual record (or lack of.) We need a Ted Cruz or the like, someone who is not afraid of p.c. and who can actually point out her flaws.

Do you know who Lynn Forester de Rothschild is? She traveled around with Sarah Palin during the 2008 election season and she appeared here in Vegas with Sarah. I was there and they both did great.
However, I saw her (de Rothschild, that is) interviewed later - after I knew who she was - and she stated that she was hoping to support Hillary for President in 2008, but since Obama shoved her aside, she was supporting the only other woman in the race... Sarah Palin.
I thought, ´How idiotic. She´s supporting Sarah Palin simply because she´s a woman? How about supporting her for WHAT SHE SAYS and BELIEVES?´
There absolutely ARE women out there who do this. Believe it. Hillary will get those votes, just because.
In 0bama the ´Rat Party has put together a winning (at least in the Presidential stakes) coalition of lefties, parasites, assorted takers and victims. They will go for whoever has the best potential of keeping this witches´ cauldron bubbling. Will it be the chief witch? Remain to be seen.
I don´t think Biden is a serious candidate, nor are all the dwarfs around the PIAPS. Her problem remains the same: she has never accomplished anything of significance. She has projected a strong work ethic, traveling hither and yon, but the world is a sorry mess. The middle east is in flames; Putin is chomping at the bit; Kin Jong Unbelievable is ranting and raging, and so on. OK, she may have broken a sweat at State, but what did she accomplish? Nada. But what does it matter anyway?
We´ll need a very strong candidate, unity, few debates and cold hard cash with a great ground game.
Somehow I just don´t see PIAPS getting the under 30 vote like zippy did. They think he´s cool because he listens to their music and he´s ( sort of ) black. She´s just an overweight, wrinkled, sloppy old white woman with an incredibly annoying shrieking voice. How many of that voting block even knew who was Secretary of State for the last four years?
Folks seem to think Hitlery will live forever and always have that youthful charm and beauty. That isn´t so. She has already had a major health issue and it isn´t like she will ´out grow´ it. She has vascular issues and they will do one thing, get worse. Thus, in 3 years her health may preclude her from running.I predict Hitlery will end up like the ending to a B grade western. She will hoop on her broomstick and fly off into the sunset (and probaly fall off it, hit her head and have a major problam again).
Well ya know she is the smartest women in the world ya know and married to bill clinton ya know and we would get two for one ya know and ya know we would get a lot of ya knows from the smartest women in the world ya know and she is wrong about everything ya know but that´s ok ya know because she is a Democrat ya know.
Obama was elected because they knew he could play the race card when he got into a tight spot. Pushing their agenda through him was a cake walk. That is why Hillary was deserted in favor of the boy king. His race card trumped her sex card. If Hillary runs, the "war on women" strategy will be their battle cry and like Joan of Arc, Hillary will lead the charge. It will work too because the Republicans are afraid to be called sexist and the dems know it. Plus, I can´t wait to see her makeover. It should be epic.
Hillary was the favorite last time until the debates. Her screeching voice had viewers reaching for the remote to slam on the ´mute´ button. No way will the voters want eight years of that. Besides, she´ll be 69 in 2016 and her husband looks skeletal. However, Chelsea just adopted an African baby. Photo op! Photo Po!
The author is kidding himself and us. Hillary lost last time because she faced an unprecedented opponent who was also skillful and ruthless. Obama won because he brilliantly embodied the aspirations of Democrats and offered a once in a lifetime story of racial absolution to the rest of the country. There is no comparably threatening political force on the horizon this time. The only Republicans I think might be able to beat her would never get the GOP nomination. Instead, we will nominate another nice guy moderate and the "paper tigress" will shred him like day old newspaper.
Perhaps 2016 will be the time to elect a woman to the White House; an overweight, wrinkled, sloppy old white woman with an incredibly annoying shrieking voice (Thank you Poster #20)
Huma will be in need of a full time job again - wonder how she and Anthony support themselves these days?
And maybe the so called press in this country might realize that they really need to take a closer look, unlike their lack of interest in all things Obama, and dig into Bill´s foundation, etc. That might be fun to watch.
Hillary Clinton is merely the head ameba of the slime mold that is American Marxism. She and her comrades must never be allowed power in Washington, DC. She will make Barack Obama look like (an incompetent) Ronald Reagan.
For those of you that are have Hillary on the mind........
You forget one thing........Obama will NOT just walk away from his power ! He will want to continue to have it. Expect him to throw the constitution under the bus and try to run again, or take over the U.S. as a Dictatorship!
Why do you think he needs that civilian army?
And the LoFo´s will continue to vote for him, even if he is illegally not able to run.
HRC is not BXVI. She is not going to retire from Power. Her time is short, and she has major unfinished dreams. They all involve you bending your knee.

Sorry, Hitler-y, but your 15 minutes of fame were up an hour ago! She doesn´t realize that the Democrap Party only pays lip-service to woman. The REAL power always goes to a man. Thus, four of the five current female governors are Republicans. The good news for our side is that there are a number of men who will gladly mud wrestle Hill for the nomination: Andy Cuomo, Joe Biden, John Hickenlooper, Deval Patrick, Tom Udall, Bob Casey, Jr.,

oops... hit button too soon! Left Tim Kaine and Joe Manchin off the list of potential Hillery back-stabbers.
Look how looney, leftest women supported the vile Sandra Fluke during the 2012 campaign and a great deal of young, under 30 women were her supporters. Same crowd will support Hil during the 2016 campaign. Only bad health will stop her from running and with all the weight she has gained, that certainly looks to be a game changer for her.
One thing that would sure up her run and win the precidency would be the Republicans. The elites like Karl Rove will pick the "it´s my turn" guy, the Republican base will stay home and the Hildabeast will win. We will continue to move toward communism, Hillary is not Bill when it comes to Americanism. An entire nation will remain in poverty until we are finish and no longer exsist.
Hate to say it but Sarah Palin would be the only chance. Bring a smart woman to fight a pseudo-smart woman. It would be all about the woman vote. The rich white guys should not apply.
Re: No. 45´s post - With those big rings under her puffy eyes she is starting to look like the love child of Ben Franklin & the Cowardly Lion. This country worships superficial glamor too much to take Hillary seriously as a pres. candidate, even if she had ever accomplished anything with her gargantuan intellect. Remember how often that we heard that BO was "hot?" Besides, I´ve got an over-the-hill feminist in the family & I can tell you that they do have a shelf life with the young people. My SIL tries to meddle in her students lives, but was recently dismayed when they began treating her like a scolding, old grandma. She is finding out that there is too large an age gap & she´s irrelevant to them.
Hitlery has a huge sense of entitlement (like most Libtard Baby Boomers), made even larger by having had to put up with 40 years of public humiliation as a ´stand by my man´ woman latched onto the tailcoat of that Hillbilly Whorehopper Billy Bentpecker.
Herself ´deserves´ to be POTUS after all Herself has been through...´smartest woman in the world´ doncha know...
Whoever this Continetti guy is, he writes like an advance man for Hillary’s brainwashing James Carvel team. Soft words only to draw attention to Hitlary. If interested, just go to, and quote, some of the, below, truth seeking authors who uncovered tons of sordid dirt good enough to publish a few rare books on crimes perpetrated by Bill and Hillary, most of it under the command and dark Marxist guidance of Hillary. Ann Coulter "HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS", Barbara Olson "HELL TO PAY", Carl Limbacher "HILLARY´S SCHEME", Howard Kurtz "SPIN CYCLE", Gary Aldrich "UNLIMITED ACCESS", Chris Ruddy “THE STRANGE DEATH OF VINCE FOSTER”, Limbacher & Ruddy “BITTER LEGACY”, Bernard Goldberg “BIAS”, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard “THE SECRET LIFE OF BILL CLINTON”, Peggy Noonan “THE CASE AGAINST HILLARY CLINTON”, Wall Street Journal 2 volumes “WHITEWATER”, Roger Morris “PARTNERS IN POWER”, Jerry Oppenheimer “STATE OF A UNION”, Larry Nichols “THE FINAL CHAPTER”, Martin L Gross “THE GREAT WHITEWATER FIASCO”, Deborah Stone ? Christopher Manion “SLICK WILLIE” & “SLICK WILLIE !!”, Michael Isikoff “UNCOVERING CLINTON”, Buzz Patterson “DERELECTION OF DUTY”, and of course, Melrose Larry Green´s outrageous gem, "WHY THE CLINTONS BELONG IN PRISON". Heroes all. Wow ! She’s always been in control of Slick Willie.
If all the (yawn) old news doesn´t phase her, there is one word that will sink her: Benghazi.
re #17 -- for every idiot woman who will vote for Hillary just because she´s a female, there are opposing male chauvinists who will not vote for her because she is. I think they will cancel each other out. jmho
PIAPS is not to be underestimated. Ever. She´s a snake, her soul is for sale, and she long ago proved she´ll do anything to serve her own ends. And the bent one will be right there to help. The painfully stupid Chelsea will be a vacant and staring prop in any corner mumsie places her—that´s if she can rip herself out of her new $10 million NYC apartment presumably purchased by her adoring parents. We learned long ago that the Clintons will do anything—ANYTHING—to further their own ends. How the woman could think she could run if only after Benghazi is more than I can believe...but it also attests to the fact that her soul really is for sale and she doesn´t care how big the gorilla in the room may be. She´s Hillary Clinton...so there.
Note to the idiots running the RNC....You must begin to destroy her character by advertising the simple truth of this horrible woman´s criminal background. You elected Obama by not advertising HIS past criminal activities.
Democrat women may think they won the great lady parts battle but just let them run Hillary and they will learn the harsh truth. Most men of any color or Political Party have NO intention of allowing a woman to be elected President. Hillary has no blackmail clout left the files are too old. Bill used his all to get the Won reelected only to be the now forgotten useful has been.
Somewhere in the shadows the Dems are grooming an incredibly handsome gay Hispanic to be the next "first" whatever president. Meanwhile Karl Rove, smilin´ Bill Kristol and perennial "gang" specialist McCain will be trying to spray paint some gilt on Lindsay or some other toadie as our offering.
I think too many people think that just because they are no longer in school they never have to do homework again. What a pathetic ethic.
This time folks should do a thorough background check on Hillary because we know the press is too busy with their noses in hind ends to see reality.
Hillary was in SDS, her thesis was on Saul Alinsky, her first job was in a law office owned by a card carrying member of the Communist Party in 1971 when she worked as an intern at a left-wing law firm in Oakland, Calif., that defended communists and Black Panthers.
Asked to name his worst failing, Barack Obama surprised the adoring Barbara Walters with a one-word answer — “Laziness.” “You lazy?” she gasped. “You know, it’s interesting,” the president mused. “There’s a deep-down — underneath all the work I do — I think there’s laziness in me. It’s probably from, you know, growing up in Hawaii and it’s sunny outside, and sitting on a beach.” Notwithstanding the confidence he let slip to one of his admirers, in owning up to a deep-down laziness, Obama has always had a considerable talent for getting his own way —
The administration has popped the bubble of hope some small business had that switching to part-time staff would let them escape the high costs of Obamacare. The Small Business Administration on Thursday created a website to explain to businesses that the government will simply tally up the number of part-time employees firms have to determine if enough hours have been worked to essentially create a "full-time equivalent." Some smaller businesses had thought that if they could get under the 50 full-time employee cap that activates Obamacare by cutting full-time workers and hiring more part-time workers they would escape
I have been studying the transcript of the recent New York Times interview of President Barack Obama. It is a remarkable document—remarkable not for the facts it contains, but for the way it reveals the mentalities of the participants. Remarkable, too, in so far as the transcript allows a curious reader to see, in detail, how journalism is manufactured. Through a process of extraction, distillation, production, transportation, and marketing no less sophisticated than the global supply chain that brings Southeast Asian textiles to your neighborhood big-box store, a rambling, snobbish, and platitudinous discussion between three well-compensated Washingtonians
Accused mass murderer James “Whitey” Bulger has to decide today whether he’ll take the witness stand and try to reshape his reputation, a judge told his defense lawyers, adding that Wednesday night’s defense photo dump convinced her that the answer will be yes. With Bulger’s lawyers still coy on the subject, Judge Denise J. Casper said they must either put him on or rest after their last witness is called today. However, Casper added she believes his lawyers tipped their hand Wednesday night when they filed 20 photos with the court, documenting Bulger’s youth, showing him with a priest and pets,
Here we go again, processing peace in the Middle East. Processed peace is no more peace than Velveeta is cheese, but it beats suicide bombing and killing children. So let the Kerry Games begin. Neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians actually expect to accomplish much, but autumn in Washington can be very nice, with warm days and cool nights, and the restaurants are good. Not a bad place to spend the next eight months, pretending to negotiate “a diplomatic breakthrough to end more than a century of conflict,” as one optimist puts it. Jaw, jaw is always better than war, war,
As the Weiner campaign itself bumps up the spectacle of a campaign in disarray, The New York Times has a look at just how involved the Clintons have been in helping — and protecting — Huma Abedin. Abedin, described in the paper as a "beloved surrogate daughter to the Clintons," took a lot of public heat recently for her decision to stand by her husband in a press conference addressing the new round of sexting allegations. It´s no secret that Hillary Clinton is something of a model for Abedin — both as a wife who stayed with her husband
During his speech on the economy last month in Galesburg, Illinois, Barack Obama suggested Washington should stop focusing on an “endless parade of distractions and political posturing and phony scandals.” He repeated the line about “phony scandals” in another speech on July 25 and in his weekly address on July 27. Obama, whose approval rating has been falling since the spring, has been rocked by months of scandal coverage. His administration’s strategy to change the subject, it seems, is to channel its inner Holden Caulfield. White House press secretary Jay Carney kicked things off a few days before Galesburg
Shortly after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, in November of 1963, a Gallup poll found that 52% of the American public believed that the assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was part of a conspiracy. In the fifty years since, that figure has climbed closer to 80%. You can understand why. It’s painful to accept that an American president was cut down by one small, half-crazy guy with a mail-order rifle who could easily have been stopped in any of a dozen different small ways—but wasn’t. No wonder Norman Mailer called the assassination “the largest mountain of mystery
Mitt Romney may have been right about Russia: Last summer, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee declared in a speech that Russia is our “greatest geopolitical foe.” In a debate soon after, Barack Obama mocked that notion. “Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaida,” Obama said, teeing up one of the debate’s most often repeated lines: “The 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know,
House Democrats face a conundrum in 2014: They can’t run with the president, but they don’t want to run without his campaign organization either. On the surface, vulnerable Democrats in conservative districts will likely be aided by President Barack Obama’s absence from the ballot in 2014. But in some districts, Democrats will miss the president’s campaign organization and robust turnout operation. “The reality is that there are a handful of districts around the country where the president’s campaign was a hindrance rather than a help, and in those particular races the Democratic candidate will be far better off
Is it time for the GOP to start ignoring Obama and concentrating on Hillary? After all, Peggy Noonan has informed us that most of the country is tuning him out already. Well, not quite. As Daniel Henninger pointed out the other day, there’s plenty of damage our increasingly authoritarian president can yet do in his remaining time in office. But because of the extra-constitutional power grab Henninger describes, it is all the more imperative that Hillary Clinton not step into Obama’s shoes for eight years, cementing policies and programs never voted on by the Congress or approved by the public.
“Friendship” was the main course during Hillary Clinton’s lunch with President Barack Obama this week, according to an Obama spokesman, but no one could have blamed Clinton for ordering a small side of I-told-you-so. Much of the bombastic campaign rhetoric from 2008 — think “3 a.m. call” — proved as ephemeral as the thousands of half-melted “Hillary” candy bars Clinton’s staff handed out on Super Tuesday five years ago. But some of Clinton’s most memorable ‘08 shots at Obama have had resonance far beyond the short shelf life of the standard campaign hit parade:
Mark Levin, who hosts one of America´s top radio talk shows and is considered by supporters to be the people´s pundit on the Constitution, is rallying his 8.5 million-strong audience to demand an historic convention of state governments to halt the "oppressive power" of the federal government. The author of two New York Times bestsellers on the threats to the Constitution, Levin hopes his latest, "The Liberty Amendments," out mid-August, will spark the state lawmakers to tap a rarely used Constitutional provision to institute measures that would brake President Obama´s use of executive orders, bar thousand-page laws and
Colin Powell has admitted to exchanging ´very personal´ emails with a Romanian diplomat but denies having an affair with the much younger woman after a hacker threatened to release their intimate messages. The 76-year-old retired general told the Smoking Gun that he met Corina Cretu, 45, roughly 10 years ago when she was working as an assistant to the president of Romania. She is now a member of the European Parliament. ´After I left the Department of State in January 2005 we stayed in touch via email,´ he told TSG.
The former commander of special operations in Northern Africa told a closed-door briefing today that he was largely detached from events the night of the Benghazi attack as he was traveling at the time. The testimony of Col. George H. Bristol, USMC, Former Commander, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Trans Sahara, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Africa, had been eagerly anticipated by members of Congress. Originally, lawmakers had been told by the Defense Department that he had retired — the actual date is Aug. 1, an “administrative error” according to the Pentagon — and that they didn’t have
FORNEY, Texas - George Zimmerman, the former Florida neighborhood watch leader cleared of all charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, was pulled over for speeding in North Texas on Sunday, CBS DFW reports. According to the station, Zimmerman was armed when officers pulled him over on Highway 80 in Forney, east of Dallas. (Snip) The officer reportedly did not recognize Zimmerman, who was driving a Honda pickup. Zimmerman told the officer he was armed and was then told to put the weapon in his glove compartment, according to the station.
Arizona Sen. John McCain was the Republican Party´s 2008 presidential nominee and he still wants the keys to the Oval Office. But he is beginning to sound more like a fan of likely 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. "She´s a rock star," he said in a newly released interview. "She has, maybe not glamour, but certainly the aura of someone widely regarded throughout the world," he added in a reference to her work as secretary of State. McCain, reportedly trying to win back his reputation as a GOP maverick, was asked by the New Republic
Serial sexter Anthony Weiner’s wife partly blamed herself last year when her horndog husband confessed to her that he was at it again. Friends and family told People magazine that Huma Abedin was kicking herself at the time for bailing out of couples counseling and focusing more on their newborn baby boy. But, thanks to a new round of joint therapy that continues even now, the couple was able to put the relapse behind them. “They really became a unit, and she feels much closer to Anthony now,” a relative told the magazine. That’s a long way from how Abedin
Gotta figure her lead would be even bigger without Joe Miller in the field here. Her nomination for the taking? Alaska should be a top tier pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans next year…but their top choice of a candidate is Sarah Palin. 36% of GOP primary voters in the state say they’d like Palin to be their standard bearer against Mark Begich to 26% for Mead Treadwell, 15% for Dan Sullivan, and 12% for Joe Miller.
CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack. Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by armed militants last September 11 in eastern Libya. Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret. CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy
Sen. John McCain — a Democrat? There was confusion Wednesday after the Arizona Republican mistakenly strolled into President Obama’s meeting with Senate Democrats at the Capitol. The room full of Democrats — who happened to be meeting in the same room where the Senate GOP usually holds their weekly policy luncheons — erupted in applause and laughter as the former Republican presidential candidate made his entrance. As McCain, 76, walked out of the Dem-filled space, reporters pressed him as to why he stepped foot in the room.
In preparation for the release of Oscar-bait film The Butler, Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, and director Lee Daniels (Precious) sat down with Parade magazine. The film chronicles a butler (Whitaker) who works in the White House through seven administrations. Winfrey plays the butler’s wife. In the interview, Winfrey explained her sadness that so few Americans know about the history of the civil rights movement: “They don’t know diddly-squat. Diddly-squat.” She then said of the historic use of the n-word, “I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last
If we learned anything about Barack Obama in his first term it is that when he starts repeating the same idea over and over, what´s on his mind is something else. The first term´s over-and-over subject was "the wealthiest 1%." Past some point, people wondered why he kept beating these half-dead horses. After the election, we knew. It was to propagandize the targeted voting base that would provide his 4% popular-vote margin of victory—very young voters and minorities. They believed. He won. The second-term over-and-over, elevated in his summer speech tour, is the shafting of the middle class. But
[Video] Ouch. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie turned down an offer by Sen. Rand Paul to join him for a beer and bury the hatchet in their ongoing -- and very public -- feud. "I´m running for re-election in New Jersey. I don´t really have time for that at the moment," Christie said in an interview on a local radio station. The New Jersey governor said if he finds himself in Washington, "I´ll certainly look him up." But he added: "I don´t suspect I´ll be there anytime soon. I´ve got work to do here."
