Sen. Graham claims Benghazi survivors
´told to be quiet´ by administration

Fox News, by Bret Baier & Catherine Herridge

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 3/15/2013 9:10:32 PM

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, in an interview with Fox News, alleged that the injured survivors of the Benghazi terror attack have been "told to be quiet" and feel they can´t come forward to tell their stories -- escalating his push for more information about survivors who have never been publicly identified. The White House is denying any attempt to exert pressure on them. "I´m sure that the White House is not preventing anyone from speaking," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, when asked about the survivors. But Graham told Fox News, "the bottom line is they

Comments:
But of course they´ve been silenced. These are Chicago thugs we are dealing with. I imagine these survivors are terrified if the weight of this regime comes down on them if they do not obey orders. We´re dealing with people unlike we have ever had before in the White House.

FTA: ´´This is a story of an administration deaf and blind to the reality of what people were living with every day in Libya.´´

I am glad to see you are following up on this Sen. Graham and I hope you will continue. But I believe you to be totally wrong on this statement. Obama and Clinton were very aware of everything that was going on before, during and after.

I cannot think who these 30+ people can go to. I imagine their families have been threatened which is why nothing has been leaked.

Linda Tripp, fortunately for her, went to our Ms. Lucianne. I know that if I was ever in an impossible situation with this government that is who I would go to. Her son, Mark Levin, Clarence Thomas. I´m starting to wonder if any family members of those 30+ have disappeared.

This is unreal.

~~A congressional source tells Fox News that Hill staffers investigating the attack believe about 37 personnel were in Benghazi on behalf of the State Department and CIA on Sept. 11. With the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others, about 33 people were evacuated. Of them, a State Department official confirmed there were three diplomatic security agents and one contractor who were injured in the assault -- one seriously.~~

Hard to believe that these names can be hidden from the American people. This is not the America I grew up in.

Where were the media interviews with these people on September 12?

Maybe Sen. Graham can use the backing of those “wacko birds" who occupy other senate seats.

How many times are we gonna fall for this scam, folks? Isn´t it getting rather obvious the 74th time?

Why is he whining about this? Subpoena the names from state then subpoena the individuals. If the Senate won´t do it, then the House should. Quite posturing and do something!

In other words, the Benghazi survivors have been told to behave just like the MSM. Is anyone surprised?

In the noble cause of protecting Dear Leader, no cover-up can ever be corrupt enough.

I don´t want to give up the fight on getting to the bottom on Benghazi but Graham is a lousy choice to be fighting the fight.Somethings being covered up here that´s way bigger than some disappearing people.Obama not being able to be reached during this attack is incomprehensible and I´ll always believe he was well aware of the attack and disappeared out of convenience.

Hillary has dodged blame also and blatently lied when she said she was unaware of Stevens request for more security. All so she can finally reach her dream of being president.

Guess what Hillary will be sabotaged by Obama operatives working out of the shadows to pave the way for MO.The Obamas aren´t about to surrender power.

The big issue here is that the threats that have kept them silent very likely affected the results of a United States Presidential election.
The way to keep a government employee quiet is to threaten his current paycheck and future retirement benefits. But why aren´t the hired contract people talking?

Reply 12 - Posted by: planetgeo, 3/16/2013 7:24:53 AM     (No. 9227731)

The story of Benghazi is the really the classic Sherlock Holmes story of the dog that didn´t bark. In this case, the dog that didn´t (and won´t) bark is the MSM. it doesn´t make a bit of difference if Graham pursues this or if a few other Republicans pursue this. The only way this pustulent boil of a story will ever be lanced is if the dog starts barking incessantly and ferociously. And it won´t.

When it comes to being watchdogs of Democrats, the American press are the Basenjis of dogdom.

If the House is going to subpoena the administration for details, then they had better back it up with some political muscle and not allow the White House to weasel out and run out the clock.

I suspect that some of these individuals are CIA employees under State Department or other cover, which is why we don´t know their names and why we don´t know what happened. Still, there should be a process now for them to be able to testify, while keeping their identities secret.

#13, my thoughts exactly. The regime will not allow this story to see the light of day until after the 2014 elections. They are masters at dragging their feet and refusing to cooperate. They will do whatever it takes to protect Obama and with the help of the dreadful media they will, most likely, be successful. They set out to delegitimize FOX News and now they pretty much control what the masses are told. The Internet is going to have to be the one to push this story. This administration´s worst nightmare is truth. Plus, Obama will do anything to distract attention from this story. No option is off the table. If the truth starts coming out, hold on to your hats because a crisis will explode.

This "disappearance" of POTUS on 9/11 and the subsequent news blackout surrounding the survivors would certainly fit with Vali Nasr´s account of the "dithering" president who ran national security issues by his political team.

His book is “The Dispensable Nation: America Foreign Policy in Retreat” and I´m going to read it now.

I want to know why no one asked Hillary if she had visited or met with the survivors? And who would be on select committee to investigate?? Would it be just house members or combination or house and senate?

Seems to me this is the perfect time to start this, politically. Many are worried about their re-election (Graham is one of them). Look for some dims to see that standing behind the WH on this might be bad for them.
All this while there might be some low level ambitious Woodward type that might see a chance to be a star. We can hope maybe.

The Obama folks are quietly, patiently, bait fishing. The injured Benghazi survivors are being dangled out there as the bait, just waiting for some earnest Republican to slip up. They are all CIA, and identifying any of them is a crime that will get you prison time.

The silence is deafening from the families of those who were killed. They´re sure to know quite a lot, but have been effectively silenced by the powers that be. For them, it´s beyond a tragedy.

Reply 26 - Posted by: Dodge Boy, 3/16/2013 8:52:58 AM     (No. 9227860)

Hiding the Benghazi survivors and putting a muzzle on them is the real sequester. I find it hard to believe that, in this electronic world of ours, that some right-leaning media sleuths can´t find a survivor or two and simply ask 1) were you threatened with your life to clam up and were paid off by Obie´s team, 2) based on what you know, do you think Obie and his team are criminally liable and should go down for the attack, and 3) did Obie give the order to stand down.

Graham and McCain already know the answers. Graham tipped his hand when he said the operation was to buy up shoulder fired missiles to keep them from leaving Libya. It failed and now they´re all over the middle east. This was a story back when Qaddafi fell and the missiles disappeared. Of course the press didn´t followup. They will try and bury this as well.

If your family member had been a target of Hamas or Al Queda, I doubt if you would want them to be outted.
The danger to them is real.
That said, their testimony is necessary to the American people. Perhaps video testimony behind a screen?

I´m sure these surveyors remember Vince Foster and the troopers in Arkansas who committed suicide with a bullet to the back of the head....

This is serious stuff. BUT -- to thine own self be true....

One of these surveyors needs to step up -- like Kathleen Willey (of bubba clinton fame) -- and face the music. Tell the American people the "real" story. I see clinton´s hands on this. That team -- ole bubba and PIAPS -- are dangerous....

As for the bamster and his moooochelle -- they have the backing of the Chicago mob....

Some are CIA and can´t talk publicly, but they can talk to members of congress as demonstrated already. But there were also State Department employees. Those folks are not prevented to speak to officials. And some were contract workers. There is enough known to go further, and Graham knows it.
He will be on Huckabee tonight. Im sure more questions will be asked and hopefully some clarity.

What country are we living in? These people have committed no crime. Why have they been muzzled? What pressure has been brought to bear on them to make all stay silent?

It´s impossible to conduct a conspiracy in a free society. This is good evidence that the U.S. is no longer a free society.

Those who are CIA have signed a secrecy agreement at the time of their employment. If they disclose any classified information to an "unauthorized" individual they are in breach of their agreement and subject to punishment and dismissal from service. This would likely be prosecution by the FBI, a trial for divulging classified information, and jail time and fines if convicted. A life altering experience I would say. It would take a person of monumental personal courage to take this on.

Reply 34 - Posted by: Lalo, 3/16/2013 9:52:04 AM     (No. 9227957)

I would think that no one is choosing who is fighting except for those who are standing up and doing it. I was furious with him and McCain about the "whackos" bit, but also give credit where due. And actually, maybe he IS a good "choice" to be fighting now for the very reason that he does things like have dinner with The Won during the Rand marathon. Still hammering in spite of being cultivated by the WH. This is not activity for the cahone-less.

As for the subpoenas, maybe one step at a time?

#16, I wish I could believe what you´re saying but experience tells me differently. Graham has a habit of doing this: looking tough and unwavering in his quest for the truth and then when the big moment of payoff is about to occur, sitting down and saying "Nevermind." The first time I saw ths happen was at the end of the Clinton- Lewinsky hearings in the House, where then-Representative Graham fought tooth and nail to reveal the wrongdoing of the president (which included at least one felony) and then, when the vote came to send the Senate the advisement for impeachment, Graham suddenly and inexplicably voted in Clinton´s favor. It was a jaw-dropping moment, totally unexpected and completely at odds with his presentation. But within a few years, the never-married Congressman was a Senator. McCain is cut from the same duplicitous cloth.

It has not even been made public what capacity any of these "survivors" were in in Libya. Were they CIA, contractors, State Dept civilians, Military members, or in some other capacity. That is the starting point. Of course the Obama Administration, being the LEAST transparent in history, is doing all they can to ´force´ every single one of these people to remain quiet. But the type of ´force´ they use depends on what capacity the person was in overseas. I doubt that any of these individuals are being kept at Walter Reed Hospital if they do not need medical treatment. So, where are they ?

# 36 I agree completely .
Some posters hijack every thread about Obama and start slamming Republicans .
Some on the far right believe that the Republican Party
is a greater threat than Obama.
Senator Graham has been the point man for Benghazi
and he´s not caving.
A terrific and chilling interview with Baier.
Interesting that some survivors have reached out to Graham.
Didn´t know that one survivor had a very serious head injury and is still in Walter Reed.
The visit to this very ill man by John Kerry is odd.
Carney´s response is ridiculous , in other words, typical.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va. and
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif are the ones in the House
trying to get information.
Senators , Graham , Senator McCain and
Senator Kelly Ayotte are doing the same in the Senate.
The far right´s hatred of Graham and McCain ,
led by Limbaugh and Levin , is so intense and illogical that they will never give them credit.

Lindsey Graham is better than most establishment republicans [traitor-lites] at defining a problem. He absolutely is too attracted to criminals to actually end the problem, or promote someone who can. With Lindsey it is a proclivity. With the O´Reilly style Fox News Network (the pastel alternate to the gay-elite-secular-godless-comfortble alphabet news], 100% preferring to air liberals like Lindsey and McCain; and with arch journalists celebrated on Fox and L.Dot and elsewhere like Krauthammer and Kristol, too well paid to safely discuss no more than the water you are boiling in, and the smell of the gangrene, you have a declining, unlistening, uninformed America. OK, that´s the free market at work. But is there such a thing as Newton´s Laws of Motion applied to politics, including the 3rd one: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction?" Is the action not transformation [water gradually heating to a boil] but a military coup against a free country? Can all you non-Levin types be so blind to it, your digestion so immune to it, that you intend to call yourself Americans as you bring in Eliot´s description of the end of the West, the end that comes "not with a bang, but a whimper?" Can all the feckless cries here of "IMPEACH," which do nothing more than turn Lindsey and McCain and the evolved GOP collaboraters on, finally end with watching a government news program, where Krauthammer and Matthews discussing, with good capon stuffed civility, how impressed they were with the coup."It had an almost musical smoothness. It was ... it was beyond the reach of our greatest literature."

THe "Lady Lindsey Show" - - now in its 15th hit season - - is a scam. The Lady protests to keep up the pretense that RINO Pubbies are on the case - - then does absolutely nothing and quietly slinks away - - leaving Zippy & The Rats completely untouched.

And then when the next scandal comes along - - the same routine is repeated - - the chumps fall for it all over again - - and the Washington Establishment heads for the next taxpayer-funded cocktail party.

Lincoln was wrong. It IS possible to fool all the people all the time.

We will never know what happened. We have an administration that is getting away with anything -- and not getting any questions about it. The media is in bed with Obama and Hillery and nothing will ever be told. You saw what happened to the one reported who tried to get the truth out. He was shut up in a hurry and seems to have gone off into the dark obis or something. That was only news for about 3 days. We are not a free country anymore - get used to it......

If Senators and Representatives do not perform their sworn duty, and continue to let Obama dismantle the Constitution and obfuscate every action they take; then they should not be surprised when they are run out of Washington next election and damned in history. We are ready to take Historical action.

Reply 47 - Posted by: Hazymac, 3/16/2013 12:09:23 PM     (No. 9228181)

Even without testimony of the Benghazi survivors, deductive reasoning indicates that if the whole truth were known about Obama and Hillary Clinton´s activities during the terrorist attack, these two poseurs would incur significant if not fatal political damage. What other reason would there be for the concerted efforts to cover up what happened?

If Republicans don´t keep up the pressure on this stone wall of political obfuscation until said wall crumbles and tumbles, what good are they? There are a few--not many, mind you--but a few reporters in the Mainstream Media whose professionalism is sufficient to follow this foggy path to its conclusion, even if it destroys the political careers of the two most prominent Democrats of the day. Push! Push! Push!

(And any shady Media Matters-DNC types who would punish survivors for speaking out can also have their own reputations destroyed, killing several useless birds with one stone.)

Birth certificate problems - nothing done about it.

Fast and furious - nothing done about it

Border Patrolman murdered - nothing done about it

The Attorney General refuses to do his duties - nothing done about it

Sequestration - demanded by President, approved by republicans, president in a snit because they approved it, hence is punishing the American public - nothing done about it.

No budgets - nothing done about it

Benghazi murders - nothing done about it

Obamacare while most Americans didn´t want it - nothing done about it.

Multiple attempts to make our self defense impossible - nothing done about it.

Tons of money wasted, WASTED on Obama travels and fun - nothing done about it.

If I had the time, I think I could make the case for at least a dozen impeachments - nothing would be done about them.

We ordinary American citizens have been abandoned by our elected officials: the President, most of Congress, the US Supreme Court, and "major" media, both major political parties.

We no longer have a constitutional representative government, so I truly would like to know why we continue to obey their illegal and unconstitutional laws. Why do we pay higher and higher taxes, when NONE of that money is used for Americans or America, but most is funneled to foreign countries, most of whom would love to see us fall. They and this Administration, and a major part of our Congress are enemies of the American public. We have no worse enemy in the universe.

My question: Once they are out of office will we be able to find a jury to convict every one of them and a judge who will order them to be executed. I sincerely hope so. If they need someone to pull the lever, or inject the medicine, I cheerfully volunteer.

The facilities in Benghazi, while referred to as being a US Consulate and Annex, were in reality most probably CIA and military intelligence forward operating bases. If so, besides a few State Dept. types there to give the place diplomatic cover, the majority of the Americans there were probably CIA and military intelligence clandestine operatives. No doubt what they were actually doing there is highly classified, and of course the Obama Administration does not want them to be interviewed or their identities compromised.

I guess when you have a high level security clearance and are working overseas on highly classified intelligence operations, it is expected that you will "be quiet" concerning those activities. Those matters, if they must be discussed, are usually handled by the Administration and the Congress in closed meetings and sessions.

No one is demanding answers to the question,"Who ordered the defenders, at Benghazi,to ´stand down´ and why."

There lies what the WH is furiously covering.

Ask, "Who and why?"

I mean, Obama runs in 2008 as the man who is going to change our politics. You know, he is only going to implement new ideas, he is going to change the way Washington works. And the essence of the corruption he was attacking was the money. So, number one, in ´08, he is the first who refuses public financing for his campaign, he raises a billion dollars. At a Democratic National Committee fund raising event in Atherton, California Thursday morning, President Obama declared that the United States government still needs to get its fiscal house in order: We still waste money in all kinds of things that don´t work, and we have the capacity to shift those dollars into things that do work and that will grow our economy. And we can reduce our deficit, stabilize our debt, and do so without sacrificing the kinds of investments that are going to be required to grow. During his remarks, the president spoke of the

"I think it’s important to note that -- because you’ve seen a lot of rhetoric from the other side suggesting that there is something wrong with that -- that Republican leaders in the House and the Senate have been out raising money for Republican candidates;

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

President Obama is eager to build public support for his health care overhaul in the few months remaining before its implementation, but waning enthusiasm from Democrats threatens his effort right out of the gate. Two-thirds of Democrats now believe Obama´s health care reforms will either hurt them personally or have no effect on their daily lives, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows. In comparison, just 27 percent of Democratic respondents said the reforms would help them. The president has long struggled to convince independent and Republican-leaning voters that his health care blueprint would lower premiums and expand insurance coverage.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter.
