More Reporters Step Forward to
Discuss Obama White House’s Petty
Treatment of Press

NewsBusters, by Howard Portnoy

An article in Monday’s U.S. News & World Report by Ken Walsh, a veteran journalist who covered five presidencies, notes a growing “unhealthy antagonism … between the West Wing and the mainstream media.” If the assessment is accurate, it could mean that the press, after four years of mindless obeisance to this administration, is finally ready to provide frank coverage, warts and all. The sea change, if one is in the cards, started with the now-infamous brouhaha involving another old hand, Bob Woodward, and White House economic adviser Gene Sperling. Since Woodward publicly asserted that he was

Note to CrapMedia: How about a bit less whining on your part about how you`re being treated an a lot more truthful reporting about what is going on in this country instead of carrying the water for this lame president.

Until Bob spoke up, they were all going along willingly ?

If that female reporter let someone call her those names and didn´t speak up, it´s beyond pathetic.

If it takes 100,000 signatures to petition Zippy, can We petition to impeach him ?

We´ve been here before. During the Clinton Senate trial, I said repeatedly, "They´ve got him now. Surely they will vote to remove him."

During the OJ Simpson trial, I watched every night and repeatedly said, "The game is up. Certainly the jury will find him guilty."

Justice in either of these cases? No. And there will be no justice with Barack Obama. He will achieve all he plans to achieve, and he will get away with it.

If these media weenies are whining now, wait until (someday) a Conservative wins back the WH and the media´s pro-democrat chickens come home to roost. I can foresee the press office shutting down, dismissal of the press secretary, and basically the President flipping the bird to these crap weasels and talking directly to the American people. Lets here the piggies squeal when that happens.

It´s wishful thinking to think the media will turn on Obama. They all hated republicans long before Obama came along and they´re not all of a sudden become BFF´s of the GOP.

They´re no different than a typical government worker who has to endure all the crap on the job but the pay is too much to walk away from.

Sure, they´re sore and offended Obama cut them out of a photo op with Tiger Woods but they´ll keep a lid on it for long term survival´s sake.

If you can be thrown out of school for carving a pop tart into a gun, just imagine how harsh these people could be if you got on their wrong side.

I´m confused. I thought Woodward woke up next to the horse head yesterday and, as a result, came out and said that he WASN´T threatened after all. A horse head will do that every time.

Either I´m confused or this reporter is behind in his story.

So someone please tell me, is Woodward still saying he was threatened or not? If not, where´s the rest of the horse? Taco Bell?

This isn´t like really breaking it off and getting free. This is more like "You never tell me you love me anymore." Lovers quarrel sometimes - they´ll be OK.

Obama slaps them around. The press cries now before apologizing later for "making him be that way," and they´ll kiss and make up.

"It´s just that those d@mn republicans are in my chili all the time, and then when I don´t get support from you, I just get crazy." "O, I´m so sorry, baby. I´ll do better, I promise - you know I love you more than anything in the whole wide world."

Everything will be fine. Not to worry.

Leftists have a built in survival mode that kicks in when their power is threatened. Harry Reid is doing it by backing off on gun control.

The press is now starting because their jobs are being threatened by the fact that they have openly thrown in with Obama and that really big chicken in the corner is now coming home to roost.

Karma can bite hard kiddies.

Wait until their usefulness is gone. They will end up on the garbage disposal heap like so many slaughtered under new regimes. Obama and Hillary won´t be there to pretend to take them into their new paradise as they are only puppets too. It won´t matter if Bill and Hillary are playing alleged games to pretend they are the answer; not Obama when neither is the answer. They need to read history about what really happens when a new regime takes over. It won´t be pretty.

One wink and a smile and all will be forgiven.

Progressives are, at heart, profane flame throwers. It is their first go-to response. Depending upon how much the truth hurts defines the level of profanity. Andrew Breitbart understood this and exposed their hypocrisy time and time again. His type won´t pass this way anytime soon...a happy warrior.

On behalf of skeptics and pessimists everywhere, I’d just like to say this sudden eruption of journalistic navel-gazing is simply a temporary speed-bump which will be worn down and back to its original, customary state in hardly any time at all. Think these mainstream media types are gonna all of a sudden develop integrity, character, ethics and spine? Think again! They’re stuck with themselves. They yam what they yam.

We´re only seeing this now that Obama´s been safely reelected.

Watch for a few more reporters to come out with bits and pieces of the truth about Obama. But nothing they say now will be enough to bring him down -- it will be only enough to give them (the reporters) a claim to "objectivity" and to having been "critical of both sides."

We know the truth ... which is that Obama´s media acolytes have known for since 2009 (if not earlier) that he and his spokespeople are bullies, liars, and crass propagandists.

Remember Helen Thomas´s 2009 rant about his staff´s manipulation of the news, by controlling reporters´ questions at one of those so-called "town hall" meetings? (Hey, ol´ Helen was right once or twice!)

Absolutely serves the Press right to get hammered, but I will also bet that when push comes to shove they stand with Barack. E.G. the lofty Brian Williams, who runs his nightly news, never even bothered to MENTION the Woodward brouhaha on his show. In the same way they never mentioned Fast & Furious for 6 solid months and then had to explain, real fast, what it was about when indictments were about to come down (what ever happened there-our A.G. again?).

Awww, the fawning, dejected boys are now feeling like used condoms. They shouldn´t have put themselves in the position in the first place. Now they have lost the title of "reporter" for the rest of their lives.

It was a cool thing to do to cover up for the first black president so he would go down in the history books as a great and successful social experiment and they would receive credit for their helpful support. Little did they know that the boy doesn´t have a successful bone in his body. Yes, his campaign tactics worked on the gullible but P.T. Barnum could tell you about that.

One little kid blurts out that the king is wearing no clothes when all the brainwashed townspeople were pretending the king was wearing this special gold woven suit. So, old Bob Woodward whines about Captain Queeg no wearing any loths, that is a break
through. But now it´s time for any of the few sane people left in the kiss ass media to get real and start reporting, mocking, trashing, exposing, golf photographing this Captain Queeg re-run (hey, see the movie, The Caine Mutiny) already. The lovely robotic Diane Sawyer is the model of lying and obfuscation. She´ll be the last to defy Captain Queeg. She´s brilliantly locked in to hopeless. Bob Woodward, the first person to stand up an object to the way the meeting is being corruptly run.
Each city and town has their own lineup of a whole lot of stupid newscasters, equally brainwashed neighbors. Go after them, too.
It´s time to forget corrupt Wshington and ATTACK allamestream media for their crimes.

Tell us whether he is a natural born American citizen, a naturalized (former Indonesian) citizen or NOT an American citizen.

Tell us about his education -- Was he a Fulbright (foreign) Scholar? Ditto for his grades.

Tell us about his social connections, Chicago friends and club memberships.

Report on the rampant fraud in the 2012 presidential election, including rigged voting machines, too high voter turnout in swing states, all Obama voting in many precincts, etc.

Tell us how Barry and his cohorts are deliberatly using the sequester to weaken and cut our military while TSA agents are receiving expensive new uniforms and American is sending millions to Syria and Egypt.

How do you get from 5 million Obamacare enrollees to 7.1 million Obamacare enrollees in two weeks? You start the applications yourself. Health and Human Services was mailing out letters notifying certain Americans that they had already started a healthcare coverage application on their behalf. HHS had started the applications for them. The Shark Tank reported: News of the HHS letter was first mentioned by a listener of the popular “Daybreak with Drew Steele” Show on Fox 92.5, which is out of Fort Myers, Florida. After his radio show concluded, another listener emailed Steele telling him about receiving the same

Finally, someone has come up with a way to settle the debate over climate change: Put the people on the wrong side of the argument in cages. A writer for the website Gawker recently penned a self-described “rant” on the pressing need to arrest, charge, and imprison people who “deny” global warming. In fairness, Adam Weinstein doesn’t want mass arrests. (Besides, in a country where only 44 percent of Americans say there is “solid evidence” of global warming and it’s mostly due to human activity, you can’t round up every dissenter.) Fact-checking scientists are spared. So is “the man on the

More than a dozen Republican lawmakers are pushing the Environmental Protection Agency to reconsider asserting regulatory authority over streams and wetlands amid intense backlash from farm groups over the agency´s proposed water rule. In a letter Thursday, the GOP senators faulted the EPA for announcing a proposed rule last week before the government´s peer-reviewed scientific assessment was fully complete. They are calling on the government to withdraw the rule or give the public six months to review it, rather than the three months being provided. The senators´ move puts them among several groups -- from farmers and land developers to

U.S. employers added jobs at a solid pace in March in the latest sign that the economy is rebounding from a weak stretch brought on by a harsh winter. The Labor Department says employers added 192,000 jobs, slightly below February´s total of 197,000. Employers also added a combined 37,000 more jobs in February and January than previously estimated. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.7 percent. But a half-million Americans started looking for work last month, and most of them found jobs. The increase in job-seekers is a sign that they are more optimistic about their prospects. March´s job gain

In his opening statement during highly anticipated testimony Wednesday on Benghazi, former CIA deputy director Michael Morell claimed to be an intelligence professional who was willing to lay out the facts -- no matter how damaging. "I take very seriously the allegations about how the CIA in general and about how I in particular handled the analysis and the talking points," Morell told the House Intelligence Committee, in his first public testimony on the Benghazi attacks. "The ethical code under which intelligence officers carry out their responsibilities calls for total objectivity." But Morell´s own testimony would appear to undercut that

SAN DIEGO – Hillary Clinton cancelled her upcoming visit to San Diego in the midst of a planned protest. Clinton will be the keynote speaker for the 17th Annual Western Healthcare Leadership Academy on April 11. She was originally going to deliver the speech in person, but will now be seen by satellite. The three day event will be being held at the San Diego Convention Center with 700 people expected to attend. Jan Iverson created an organization called “The Difference Matters” to protest Mrs. Clinton’s quest for the presidency, because of her role in Benghazi. “She is not welcome

Immigration reform advocates are fond of citing broad support for their cause. But in fact the coalition behind the Senate Gang of Eight comprehensive reform bill is fragile and loosely cobbled together. How could Big Labor and the Chamber of Commerce and the tech world and Big Agriculture all unite behind one bill? Very tentatively. It wouldn´t take much to break the coalition apart. And if that happens, the effort to enact comprehensive immigration reform could blow up, not just for the moment, but for some time to come. And there are signs that is exactly what is occurring now. Imagine going to work one day only to be, in effect, fired -- not because of anything you did or didn’t do at your job, but because of something you did in your personal life. Something religious. Or maybe, something political.(snip)That’s exactly what happened to Brendan Eich, a highly-respected tech guru in Silicon Valley and co-founder of Mozilla Corporation, after he was appointed CEO in late March. The State Department has no idea what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors. In a special “management alert” made public Thursday, the State Department’s Inspector General Steve Linick warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at the department has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years. The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors. The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

Following her speech at the “Women of the World Summit” in New York City on Thursday, Hillary Clinton was asked this simple question by a moderator: “When you look at your time as Secretary of State, what are you most proud of? Earlier this week on Boston’s WRKO-AM’s The Howie Carr Show, conservative commentator Ann Coulter shocked some conservatives when she said she is making 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney her favorite for the 2016 Republican contest. Last month in an interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, Romney himself ruled out the possibility of a 2016 run and said he was instead focused on who to get behind in that contest. Coulter, however, wishes otherwise. “Well, don´t tell him but I´m planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and

Steve Utash, from suburban Roseville, was beaten into a coma Wednesday by an angry mob in a poverty-stricken Detroit neighborhood after David Harris, 10, ran in front of his truck on a busy street, but police insist the incident was not racially motivated. Attorney General Eric Holder disputed a Government Accountability Office report on his use of Justice Department airplanes for personal trips, saying it overstated the number of trips he took and failed to recognize that some trips were job-related. "My staff keeps telling me to take it easy, you know, well, this is one that gets me," Holder told Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. "There was this notion that we´ve taken -- I think it was described as hundreds of personal trips. That was wrong. GAO counted flights, not round trips. And we looked at it

Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has sworn off running again for elected office, but Americans have certainly heard that one before. Speculation that Romney might run again has largely been stoked by the reunion he planned to host last month in Park City, Utah, for members of his 2012 campaign and debate team and a string of recent public appearances. He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, who led all national politicians last year with 26 appearances over 12 months. Romney has
