| It is tempting to applaud the nonprofit group now spending nearly $100,000 on ads to pressure Republican lawmakers to accept gun-control measures. The group is fighting a well-financed and powerful corporate gun lobby that has never hesitated to spend millions to get its way in Congress. But a closer look at this group shows how disturbing its work really is. Its name is Organizing for Action, and if its initials seem familiar, that’s because the group is the direct descendant of Obama for America, the president’s campaign organization in 2008 and 2012.

The Democrat Party better look out. Obama appears to be building a political organization all his own. This ain´t good. With his desire to build up and use the DHS to oppress citizens he views as enemies, this makes him a threat and danger to all Americans.

It is only a matter of time before his true agenda emerges for the lo-fos to see. Then it will be too late. DHS is buying all this ammo for one of two reasons - to get it out of the hands of guns owners or to be prepared to attack US citizens when the rebellion begins.
It is either one or both. O has an insidious plan in the back of his mind to maintain control after 2016 - we have to stop voter fraud NOW!!
Start recruiting others to see what is really happening. Otherwise we are going to be like Germany - cheering our own demise.

Why did I even bother reading this when there was no doubt the times would eventuly blame conservatives in the conclusion? Of course, this is the same leftist mouthpiece that never made a squeak about obama´s $billion war chest that included uncounted millions in dirty, illegal, untraceable foreign contributions. Not to mention creepy criminal bundlers like corzine who kicked in cash to organizing for the overthrow of America.

Naturally, the NYT declares that republicans started it all and Obama is merely taking an ´if you can´t beat them, join them´ approach. The NYT refers to social welfare groups that republicans used to raise cash, but doesn´t name names. Does anyone know what groups they are referring to? No doubt the Koch brothers are involved...

For years the networks have made hay while the sun shines during election years. Now the Obamboozler has found a way to stay in campaign mode and fund the networks (who are suffering from ratings that drop every year) and other media to keep them in his back pocket. Legalized money laundering, bribery, kick-backs and influence-pedaling all rolled up into one big blunt from the the guy who never met a dictator he didn´t like. Now all they need is Ben Bailey from Cash Cab to ask "You in?"

...Mr. Obama denounced the practice. “You can’t stand by and let the special interests drown out the voices of the American people,”...
Obama´s followers and his Administration are all about "drowning out the voices of the American peopl." They did it with ObamaCare, with TARP, with failed energy endeavors, with expensive luxurious vacations on our dime and now with the gun grab.
This is a move decidedly geared to disarm legal gun-owners so that they cannot defend themselves when Obama´s Storm Troopers come knocking at your door claiming you´re using too much electricity or water.
Worse, don´t forget Obama´s vow to form a "civilian police force as well armed as the military." Yes, he did say that.
So, do we turn our backs hoping that others will handle it? Does the NRA have enough power to squash this? Or is the revolution at our doorstep?
Hitler did it because the country couldn´t believe he would. Plus he had a willing populace who believed in racial supremacy because Hitler told them they were the Master Race.
How much real difference do we have here? Sure, it´s not getting much coverage in the media but the real agenda is a smokescreen for the larger one -- dictatorship or worse.
America MUST pay attention. It´s no longer a conspiracy theory. It´s a real conspiracy.

The important thing isn´t that the NYT criticizes Republicans. That´s as startling as saying their its editors breathe. This is a big slam on Obama and it´s very significant that the NYT is taking notice of his sleazy ways.

#2, Organizing for Action IS his "well armed and as well funded" entity.
It has morphed into this to ensure threats to citizens until fraud takes place in future elections, and it´s tax free. He will use them to overturn the House´s current Republican majority in 2014 so his lame duck years will be those of rule and not governance.
God help us!

In re #10, I took a look at the video.
If the contents of the gentleman´s claims can be substantiated, "a scary hair raising scenario" understates Obie´s ultimate and horribly evil aim to control American citizens that may include formation of his own political party. To think that a sitting president is currently and openly replacing his military brass with those Generals who would be willing to order their men to fire upon non-conforming American citizens, if ordered to do so, tells me that pushing Obie out now and putting him behind bars can´t happen soon enough. What on earth are we waiting for?

As I have said many times here, I´m waiting for someone or several someones to come forward and start organizing the comming revolution. We know it´s comming, so now is the time to start preparing. And as long as it´s done on private land, the governmnet really has no excuse to step in and try to stop it. Especially if we are all armed to the teeth. Remember, citizens outnumber those in government including the police forces and the military. And a lot of them are NOT going to fire on the citizens of this country.

#10 & #16 Several points concerning video
1)I have been afraid of this very thing for some time now. I asked my cousin several years ago, retired military, if the military would fire on citizens. His answer was no.
2)In my job as RN for an immunization company, we recently put on a clinic at a local military base. I had some NCO´s come thro my station(an aside;I gave fewer shots than some other nurses as I was questioning the guys along these very lines) and I asked them, after getting into discussions indicating they had same thoughts as I did..sorry for run on sentence......I asked if they thought US military would fire on citizens, both, after consideration, said some would, yes. So....video is correct.

FTA: It is tempting to applaud the nonprofit group now spending nearly $100,000 on ads to pressure Republican lawmakers to accept gun-control measures.
Why?
Stop to think [not that it ever happens at Pinchy´s]. Why "gun control"? How many of the at least two hundred million American-owned firearms are ever used in crimes? And of those, how many are used in crimes committed by the legal owner? The tiniest, tiniest number, as we all know and have known forever.
What could possibly be the reason?
And we haven´t gotten to the five vital words: "shall not be infringed."
Do you know "The Battle of Athens, Tennessee"? You should. You should.

Political scientist Charles Murray has never backed away from controversy, but usually his opponents have been liberals. Friday, however, he managed to upset conservatives at the annual conference known as CPAC, where thousands of bewildered Republicans gathered to figure out the way forward after their party’s 2012 electoral defeat. Murray ditched his prepared remarks on “America Coming Apart” in favor of an impromptu admonition to fellow conservatives to accept the legalization of both gay marriage and abortion.

VATICAN CITY—It took Jorge Mario Bergoglio four minutes to convince fellow cardinals he was their leader. Speaking in the Paul VI grand hall of the Vatican, the Argentine cardinal warned the Catholic Church against focusing too much on matters close to home—advice that came against the backdrop of a papacy that had been consumed by infighting among Vatican officials, a dwindling flock in Europe and secular trends in the West. The 76-year-old Father Jorge, as he is known back home, said Roman Catholicism needed to shift its focus outward, to the world beyond Rome—rather than being "self-referential," he said.

When President Obama gets to Jerusalem next week, one of the signals to listen for is an indication of what country he thinks he’s in. Normally this is clear when the President — any president — goes to the capital of a foreign country. He’s in whatever country the capital is capital of. But Mr. Obama has been refusing to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Not only that, but he has been refusing to admit that Jerusalem is even in Israel.

Approaching his first presidential trip to Israel, President Obama offered a fresh and foolish — if not feckless — assessment of the Iranian nuclear threat. "Right now, we think it would take over a year or so for Iran to actually deliver a nuclear weapon, but obviously we don’t want to cut it too close,” the President told an Israeli television interviewer, in the process cutting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu off at the knees and giving the mullahs breathing room to keep enriching uranium.

Paul´s stated reason for taking to the floor and talking for 13 hours was that the Obama administration wouldn´t give him a straight answer on the question of whether the president can unilaterally order the killing of American citizens on American soil with "lethal force, such as a drone strike … and without trial."

An unfortunate story on CBS New York Thursday carried this headline: "Officials: 80 Percent Of Recent NYC High School Graduates Cannot Read." It´s a shocker, but it´s also untrue. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, considered by some to be a potential Republican contender for president, apologized to Johns Hopkins University for the "poorly chosen words" he used in expressing his opposition to gay marriage last month.“I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused,” Carson said in the letter, reported in New York Magazine.(Snip) "Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for
