White House: ICE to blame
for release of illegals

Washington Times, by Stephen Dinan

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/27/2013 2:03:19 PM

The White House said Wednesday it had nothing to do with the decision by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to release immigrants awaiting deportation back into the country in order to save money ahead of the looming budget “sequesters.” “This was a decision made by career officials at ICE without any input from the White House as a result of fiscal uncertainty over the continuing resolution as well as possible sequestration,” spokesman Jay Carney told reporters. He didn’t say whether the White House agreed with the decision,

Comments:
Can you even believe this insanity?? I can´t imagine the hell on earth it must be for those in ICE who want to follow the law, like the gentlemen who testified in DC a week or so ago. The behavior of this White House is just beyond anything I have ever seen in this country and hope to never see again.

I guess a quick focus-group survey showed that releasing illegal aliens was widely unpopular. When will the US citizenry at large finally recognize that Obama is manipulating this whole charade?

What I find to be so hilarious is that Obama is admitting that he is totally incompetent because he cannot control his administration or cabinet members, or is so over his head as a leader, or is just flat out a liar. Take your choice

The lies are getting more transparent. Now they´re combining the blame game with the "unexpected" mantra. Pathetic.

WASHINGTON — Kathleen Sebelius, the health and human services secretary, is resigning, ending a stormy five-year tenure marred by the disastrous rollout of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Obama accepted Ms. Sebelius’s resignation this week, and on Friday morning he will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to replace her, officials said. The departure comes as the Obama administration tries to move beyond its early stumbles in carrying out the law, persuade a still-skeptical public of its lasting benefits,

Stephen Colbert will soon be the first openly partisan comic with a late night show on network television. It´s just one reason why today´s news that the liberal host of The Colbert Report will take over for David Letterman on The Late Show smacks of culture, not show business pragmatism. Late night hosts must appeal to a wide audience. So poaching a comedian from the niche-friendly world of cable television makes little sense, particularly a figure with a hard-partisan persona. How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

A caveat right off the bat: RAND’s estimate only runs through March 28 whereas the actual deadline for signing up was March 31st. Given the crush of traffic on Healthcare.gov in late March, many more people could have signed up over those last three days than were captured by these numbers. On the other hand, the White House was claiming six million sign-ups as of March 27. There’s no way to reconcile that with RAND’s data. One of them is wrong. Maybe both, in fact.
