California Lawmakers, men and women, carry no weight with me at all, given the measures they have taken over the years to bankrupt their beautiful State.

Attitudes like that beg to be skewered. Also, criticizing the number is homophobic.

Flashing some flesh has been a way aspiring actresses have gotten attention in Hollywood for decades. It always seemed sexist to me; but when I was in college and my 20s, often the first thing I looked at when deciding what movies to watch was whether there was any nudity in it -- so I can´t point fingers at anybody.

Let´s be stereotypical California politi-chicks, though: Let´s spend a few weeks flaming MacFarlane for his Oscars bit that teased actresses for doing that... just as long as we don´t do anything to discourage actresses and studios from continuing the practice, itself...

As a symbolic protest against banal politics in CA, I´m thinking of forming an organization officially called "Hot Hollywood Starlets, Show Us Your Boobs".

Women voted for Klanton in huge numbers, twice.
Same for Uhhhbama.

I thought MacFarlane was fairly funny and, sure, with a couple winces. He poked good fun at the elites in the seats before him. Sometimes sophomoric, but what the hay. The Academy knew what it was signing up for with him. These offended women lawmakers must have missed the MacFarlane hosted Comedy Central Roasts.

The women´s caucus is a set back for women and free speech. The guy is a dork and heaven know what else, but he is free to make a fool of himself and anything else he wants to do. Back off you silly witches and let this fool bury himself, and if he has a great following of young people, that´s a message of what our oh so well trained youth think of women, including what young women think of older women!

Just shut up and no one will know how stupid you are.

I think MacFarlane is a jerk and should never have been given this gig. Further, I have no problems with groups voicing their disapproval, as this is a free country.

All that said, where was this "California Legislative Women’s Caucus" at when for YEARS Sarah Palin was bullied, her family made fun of--including a handicapped son--she was called stupid, she was made fun every week by Tina Fey, she was called the worst names, she was hung in effigy, a comic stated in all seriousness that some "black brothers" in New York should rape her, a weirdo author moved in next door to her to spy on the family, and floods of reporters went up to Alaska to try to find dirt on her (failing of course)...everything and anything in an attempt to personally ruin a woman because she was a true feminist but was a Republican and conservative as well, and well, we can´t have that can we.

So a few stupid things said and done on one broadcast vs. a multi-year attempt to ruin Palin and discredit conservative women. And what did we hear from this caucus? Not a damn thing.

This is phony, manufactured outrage. What was offensive about the song? What I thought was funnier was when MacFarlane announced that he was singing with the Los Angeles Gay Men´s Chorus and said, "I´m not a member, I swear!" Then William Shatner said, "I see that you will join in July 2015."

Hahahahaha! Funny bit. Loved the actresses faces when they were spotted by the roving camera. Thanks to the Chronicle for putting the video on their site, I hadn´t seen it.

Oh, and #11? I´ll bet Sarah Palin laughed hard when she watched that sketch, too.

If liberal women are so concerned about women´s rights, why isn´t Hillary Clinton President? Women make up a majority of Democrat voters but they preferred Obama, whose views on the issues are the same as Hillary´s. Hillary even got a bit of the Sarah Palin treatment when she dared to criticize Obama. Such hypocrisy.

Most liberal women are angry and bitter because they weren´t born with a penis.

I long for the days when we didn´t have to worry about being politically correct all the time. Don´t say this, don´t say that, don´t express yourself in colorful or meaningful language - go bland, as bland as one can be. If a lady is fat (and let´s face it, there were some chunks up there)don´t say a word, although Bloomberg and Michelle are telling us we´re all obese. Don´t laugh with or at each other. Don´t, don´t, don´t. What a boring life.

Glad to see some Ldotters like #9,#14 & #15 haven´t lost their sense of humor. If they show it they can pay the price. I laughed out loud cause like said above when the camera panned the audience they paid the price. Give me the romance of the 50´s but MacFarlane was still funny.

I´m always concerned when legislators complain about free speech. I´d rather be offended by a comedian than have my delicate sensibilities "protected" by a government official.
