Joe Scarborough: Conservative
Gathering CPAC Just About
Anger and Hate

Newsbusters, by Jeffrey Meyer

In what has become a recurring theme on MSNBC, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough railed against the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) for failing to invite Governor Chris Christie (R-N.J) to the event. On the February 26 edition of the program the self-described “true conservative” Scarborough slammed CPAC as not being about winning elections, but instead being an echo-chamber that focuses on “hate” and “anger.” The segment began with liberal co-host Brzezinski expressing shock over the line-up of speakers at CPAC, including Sen.Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, prompting Scarborough to throw out that,

Note to Joe Scarborough. No one appointed you to define what a conservative is or isn´t. You are sitting on a left wing liberal cable news channel with lower ratings than Al Jazeera passing judgement. Have you listened lately to the hateful vulgar comments your liberal brethre on MSNBC spew at us every day? No? Then shut up.

Did I miss in the article that CPAC invited Joe to speak? I believe that´s the case. This rant proves what a hopelessly stupid decision that was!!!

Joe Scarborough is engaged in an elaborate coverup for the rest of his life, trying to deflect any and all attention from the death on an intern in his offices not long before he chose not to run for re-election.

When Joe was running for Congress way back when, he was constantly yapping on local tv, campaigning. I wondered then why he thought he could be elected - seemed improbable to me. Well, he did win, and we know the rest of the story. He became one of Pensacola´s leading celebrities. But - sure enough - I was right all along; he doesn´t have that much to offer.

Arrogant and loud-mouthed egomaniacs such as Joe annoy me and they´re terribly boring as well.

Joe, your ignorance/bias is glaringly obvious.

First, it is called the CONSERVATIVE Political Action Conference. If you knew anything about what it means to be a real conservative, you would understand why the listed speakers were invited.

Second, you would know why Christie wasn´t. You would have to stretch the definition of "conservative" almost as much as the girth of Chris Christie´s trousers to invite him to CPAC.

But he´s currently sporting a 74% approval rating in N.J. (a deep azure state which probably has a 3:1 ratio of Dems:Repubs)! Joe, did you not see the slobbering love affair (thanx, Bernie) between Christie/Obama in the aftermath of Sandy (and at a crucial point in last year´s election). Have you not heard that pudge just rolled over on the Obamacare Medicaid expansion?

Now do you understand why the fat man won´t sing at CPAC?

North Korea poses a “clear and direct threat” to the United States, the chief of the U.S. Pacific Command told a Senate panel Tuesday. Pacific commander Adm. Samuel Locklear said Pyongyang’s nuclear and ballistic missile tests are a threat to U.S. national security and regional peace and stability. He noted that North Korea is keeping a significant percentage of combat forces in the demilitarized zone, and said the United States and South Korean forces are "ready today" to respond should the Kim Jong Un regime stage an attack. Senators pressed Locklear to elaborate on how the U.S. military

LONDON -- The funeral of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s longest-serving leader of the 20th century, will be held in St. Paul’s Cathedral on April 17, officials said Tuesday. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, are expected to attend what will be the most elaborate funeral to be staged in London since the death of the queen’s mother in 2002. It will be the first funeral of a prime minister that the queen will have attended since Winston Churchill’s in 1965. Thatcher, who died Monday at age 87 after years of declining health,

SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea on Tuesday urged all foreign companies and tourists in South Korea to evacuate, saying the two countries are on the verge of nuclear war. The new threat appeared to be an attempt to keep the region on tenterhooks over its intentions. Analysts see a direct attack on Seoul as extremely unlikely, and there are no overt signs that North Korea´s 1.2 million-man army is readying for war, let alone a nuclear one. South Korea´s military has reported missile movements on North Korea´s east coast but nothing pointed toward South Korea.

Since when has it been considered smart to tell your enemies what your plans are? Yet there on the front page of the April 8th New York Times was a story about how unnamed "American officials" were planning a "proportional" response to any North Korean attack. This was spelled in an example: If the North Koreans "shell a South Korean island that had military installations" then the South Koreans would retaliate with "a barrage of artillery of similar intensity." Whatever the merits or demerits of such a plan, what conceivable purpose can be served by telling the North Koreans

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
