Dallas Mega-Church Responds
to Tebow Controversy

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

The congregation of the First Baptist Church of Dallas gave their pastor a standing ovation as he began to deliver the Sunday morning sermon – a sign of affirmation for Dr. Robert Jeffress – a man under siege from the national media and gay marriage activists. Jeffress and the church have been accused of promoting hate speech and anti-Semitism simply for believing that marriage should be between one man and one woman and that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. In the midst of the controversy, NFL quarterback Tim Tebow backed out

It´s a shame the media doesn´t pay more attention to the really important things in the world. They will attack anyone who doesn´t follow their approved behavior.

I guess we have too many namby-pampy churches (Episcopal, ELCA Lutherans, etc.) that think that the ONLY way they can keep believers from either walking out the door or dying is to embrace stuff like gay marriage.

And then they (and the secular/liberal crowd) get all upset when somebody actually stands up for Biblical principles.

Geez.

Jeffress is a good, Christian man. The sad thing here is, a young, popular and talented Christian seems to have allowed those who will shake their fist at God in Heaven, to influence his sense of right and wrong, in order to maintain the life of popular sports figure who happens to be a Christian.

Am I being too hard on him? I don´t really know. That´s because Tebow has always, up to this point, at least, acted like he was God´s messenger in these times. Yet, somehow, God´s interests In the salvation of the damned, have been silenced in this vessel, apparently due to today´s world of PC speak. For that, I think Tim let his God down. I wish it were not so, but it certainly appears that way.

Would I have been stronger at his young age? Could I have been? It´s a very, very sticky situation for Tim, that´s for sure, and only time will tell as to the ultimate result of this.

There you have it.

How is it anti-Semitic to say marriage is between a man and a woman?

For the Christian beleiever, the simple truth of the Gospel IS that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven....

The fact that many of the protestant denominations have fallen away and given in to the notion that marriage can be acceptable in the eyes of God Almighty with persons of the same sex is an abomination.

Scripture commands that we do not add or take away "one jot or tittle", and that the bread be unleavened.

As much as I admire Tim Tebow for his public profession of faith, he is free to beleieve what he wants and those of the "politically correct persuation" can beleive what they want.

It´s not a matter of belief. Hell is full of believers who are fully convinced of the existence of God. They are called demons, and were once His angels before they rebelled. What is required is not just belief, but acceptance of God´s love and forgiveness by the sacrifice of Jesus. Don´t want it? Then God has set aside a place where those who want a life without God will have it. For eternity.

North Carolina Democrat Verla Insko got some chuckles from some of her colleagues in the state Senate during legislative hearings on Obamacare after she asked about the percentage of prostate cancer patients that were women. "What percent of the prostate cancer patients are women?" Insko, a state representative from Chapel Hill, asked Duke University research scholar Chris Conover during the hearing in Raleigh on Tuesday. "I have no idea," Conover replied, as people in the room began laughing. "I would guess zero," he added. "But I don´t know that for sure." Insko´s question was captured by an America Rising tracker

Former White House advisor and current MSNBC contributor David Axelrod appeared on Now with Alex Wagner on Thursday where he insisted that the Affordable Care Act will be a boon for Democratic incumbents running for reelection in November. He added that he believes too many incumbent Democrats have accepted the “myth” that the ACA is unpopular, and he advocated that they “embrace the very good elements” of the ACA when they run for reelection. Alex Wagner and Axelrod both agreed that Democrats have done a poor job of attacking Republicans for advocating what they said was the health care delivery system

Opposition to President Obama´s healthcare law is close to its all-time high as the reform reaches its fourth birthday. A new survey by the Pew Research Center found that 53 percent disapprove of ObamaCare, compared with 41 percent who approve. Disapproval has not markedly risen over the last six months as the rollout encountered its most severe technical and policy problems. But the consistency of public opposition to healthcare reform is creating challenges for the White House and Democrats as they seek to keep the Senate in November. The survey offers insight into the public´s opinion of ObamaCare, just as
