I think while Tebow is still in the NFL, these kinds of wars with protestors is not in his best interest. When he retires, and if he becomes more full time in ministry or public appearances, then that´s another thing altogether.

And I´m not fan of Jeffress anyway....I agree with him on most issues, but he´s not politically astute or helpful. He told his congregation to stay home on election day.

Interesting that he lets "journalists and gay marriage supporters" have that much influence on his life.

He should stand up for what he believes in. There are more of "us" than there re of "them."

The article says that Tebow explained to Jeffress that because of things going on in his personal and professional life, he "really needed to avoid controversy." It does sound a bit as if he doesn´t have the courage of his convictions.

Leave tebow alone. He had a right to speak wherever. The slime press wouldn´t. Do this to a lib. A Muslim. A Jew. An atheist. Heck no. This is just starting to smell. Enough.....

Don´t know much about this church, but not sure if I believe what was said. He doesn´t need this. he is a football player, practice that. He is not a great speaker. He believes what he says and apparently lives what he beleives, but why deal with this mess?

Tebow is trying to save his football career. 2013 is his last shot. Very few teams are willing to offer him a shot. He needs to avoid controversy and try to learn how to throw a football at the NFL level. Next year when he´s playing in Canada he can make these appearances.

Tebow needs to grow a pair and tell the ´Press´ where to go!

He may have other reasons than those put up here. In any case, he should do anything he can to guard himself from being used. I wish him well.

#4 has it right. Some very ugly anti semitic commentary by this Church made this an unacceptable venue for Tebow.

This has nothing to do with his football career.

Before you jump all over someone try to get the facts first.

And how do we know it´s because of these particular protestors? Maybe it´s some of the other ugly things the church has put forth put a crimp in Tebow´s plans. Or maybe he just doesn´t want the media attacking the church goers as they certainly will.

He and his family have been braver than most of us ever would. From being staunchly pro-life, to abstinence, they´ve bucked the pop culture establishment in a big way. Anyone saying he doesn´t have courage should try walking in his shoes.

Tebow declined to fight a battle he can´t win.

the gays know that they can easily pressure NFL owners not to hire a "gay-hater" like Tebow. So they saw the opportunity to slam the door on Tim´s career. And it would have worked.

So some time you have to know when to fold ´em. Tim does. Be encouraged by this. He isn´t done yet. And frankly... he is still a kid. Let´s not give him a break. Let´s realize the gays have him in the proverbial trick bag, have the upper hand on Tebow at the moment. Will that last? No way. Tebow will pay them back for this.

Always a mistake to cave to harpies. It just emboldens them.

Satans minions were furious when Tebow´s devotion was widely accepted by mainstream America... So they are attempting to destroy him. The move to NJ was clearly an effort to take him off the nat´l stage.

Tebow is in the fight of his life against miscreants bent on painting him as fringe. He needs to preserve his ability to influence wide swathes of non-believers.

Pray some team puts God before Satan & restores Tebow to his mission by allowing him back on the nat´l stage.
