Why President Obama keeps the press

Americans out of work and

Barack Obama has kept the press well away this President’s Day (Washington´s Birthday) weekend (hat tip: Drudge Report) as he golfs with Tiger Woods in Florida. As Politico’s Dylan Byers writes: [Snip] "Speaking on behalf of the White House Correspondents Association, I can say a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV have today expressed extreme frustration to me about having absolutely no access to the President of the United States this entire weekend," Henry said in a statement, relayed in a White House pool report. If he´s ashamed to be seen playing golf with 12 million Americans out of work, maybe he shouldn´t go??? Same goes for the Wookie.

Interesting because I didn´t realize he had any shame.

This man is acting like a king and could care less about the people other than those who keep him in power. Perhaps the press might see the gallery of blondes Tiger likes to bed so why not keep them away. Gas price soaring, paychecks smaller, grocery items increasing in cost and this snarky family has the balls to pull this while asking everyone to sacrifice. Let us eat cake! Obama is truly like a gold ring in a pig´s snout--a king who shows no discretion.

Obama, at best, is probably a 17-19 handicapper. Now do we really think that Tiger Woods would enjoy playing golf with a hacker like that? I´m a 17 handicapper but I would be so unnerved if I was trying to play with a pro golfer that I would probably not be able to break 100. I think it´s a sign of incredible hubris on Obama´s part to think that he is in the same league with Tiger Woods. The only thing they have in common is skin color. Tiger was probably gritting his teeth the whole round asking himself how he got into this. I also doubt that Tiger is a Democrat at his pay grade.

If there was a standard operating manual for the secret services of the world´s dodgier regimes, it would no doubt omit any mention of the term "agent provocateur". In Russia, Burma, Iran et al, state-backed agents never get involved in causing trouble. What is Vladimir Putin’s game? The recent unrest in eastern Ukraine has been presented by the Kremlin as an autonomous phenomenon, an upsurge of patriotic feeling among embattled ethnic Russians who long for the protection of the Motherland against what they see as a neo-nationalist regime in Kiev. It may be true that the initial impulse came from locals acting without Russia’s direct involvement. But it is becoming clear that, just as in Crimea, many of the “separatists” are not just taking their orders from Moscow, but are very probably Russian troops in paper-thin disguise. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day.
