Country singer Mindy McCready
dead of apparent suicide

USA TODAY, by Brian Mansfield and Bill Welch

Original Article

Posted By:bamapreacher, 2/17/2013 10:38:23 PM

Mindy McCready, a country singer better known recently for her ongoing personal troubles than for her string of late-´90s hits, died Sunday of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in her Arkansas home, the Cleburne County sheriff said. Sheriff Marty Moss said his office received a call to the McCready home around 3:30 p.m. local time in Heber Springs, Ark., west of Memphis and north of Little Rock. "Ms. McCready is deceased from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound,´´ Moss told USA TODAY. He said officers found McCready at the scene.

Comments:
Sad that more and more singers and actresses seem to be letting their fame get ahead of them to the point where they can´t handle it anymore without drugs and alcohol.

Very tragic. May she now find peace that eluded her in this world.

God love her...she´d been a train wreck for YEARS. From having a teenage affair with Roger Clemens to drugs and alcohol to violent relationships...geez Louise. and of course, the latest was the death of her fiance´, who she wsaid was a suicide, but the police aren´t convinced and she hasn´t been ruled out as a suspect. As ever, it´s the children who suffer.

Never heard of her. I stopped listening to country music after the 80´s. Everything sounds the same as other genres now. Sorry to hear this though...

Isn´t it unusual for a woman to shoot to kill herself?

#7, that´s true. But she tried at least three other times to kill herself with pills. She must have meant it this time. It is my understanding that the children had been taken away from me. She killed her dog too. Glad the kids weren´t there because she might have shot them in her state of mind.

It wasn´t just a teenage love affair with that reprobate Clemens - she was 15. Yes, she was a train wreck but she had a lot of help. I´m guessing that she may have had an abortion also. There is growing evidence that abortion leads to drug and alcohol abuse as well as thoughts of suicide. Very sad life for one so young. Her children will be taken care of - it is too bad that she couldn´t get through rehab and get her life back together for their sakes.

Unfortunately, because she killed herself, her eternal agonies are just beginning. I pray God have mercy on her soul. It´s too bad, and so sad, that she couldn´t have found peace and forgiveness from her Heavenly Father in this life (it was there, all along) in order to be eternally peaceful and happy in the next.

This whole movie is about judgment, and lack of it, and doing what you want." But Cassavetes wasn´t done: "Who gives a s--- if people judge you?

Indian River County prosecutor Bruce Colton said on Monday that he would not be moved by the public campaign because he said sexual orientation was not an issue. ASHTABULA, Ohio. Police in northeast Ohio are investigating a shooting outside a church that a parishioner says left one man dead after an Easter service. Ashtabula police would not immediately confirm the fatality; an officer answering the telephone would say only that authorities were investigating. A member of the Hiawatha Church of God in Christ said the man was shot soon after Easter services ended, around 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Joan Crockett said the man knew the shooter, and that a suspect was taken into custody. She said the wounded man died.

For several months, the Benghazi scandal lay dormant, apparently forgiven and forgotten. Then, inexplicably, it reared its ugly head when Congressmen Ron Johnson and Jason Chaffetz smelled Obama´s blood in the water. After feigning affliction with the flu, and then ostensibly tumbling down a carpeted stairwell resulting in an unconfirmed concussion, then-Secretary of State Clinton was finally forced to testify before Congress. Clinton´s desperate attempt to put the Benghazi scandal to rest with her now-infamous impassioned declaration -- "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

FRESNO, Calif. — On a warm spring day, farmworker Cristina Melendez was bedridden and unable to make her way back into the asparagus fields of central California for the kind of backbreaking work she´s done since childhood. The 36-year-old mother of seven was desperate. Her bank account had been at zero for months, the refrigerator was nearly empty, and she didn´t have enough to cover the rent. Lacking health insurance, Melendez couldn´t see a doctor or afford medication, so her illness dragged on — and another day came and went without work or pay. A native of Mexico

One of the more effective arguments used by those arguing for same-sex marriage and sexual orientation anti-discrimination laws is that homosexuals have no choice in the matter -- that sexual orientation is something that you are born with, and you can´t change it. The claim is that this is a natural part of human variability, no different from skin color or hair color or how tall you are. (snip) There is pretty persuasive evidence that what determines sexual orientation, at least for some homosexuals, is environmental.

The bones of Elizabeth I, Good Queen Bess, lie mingled with those of her sister, Bloody Mary, in a single tomb at Westminster Abbey. But are they really royal remains — or evidence of the greatest conspiracy in English history? If that is not the skeleton of Elizabeth Tudor, the past four centuries of British history have been founded on a lie. And according to a controversial new book, the lie began on an autumn morning 470 years ago, when panic swept through a little group of courtiers in a manor house in the Cotswold village of Bisley
