´I am a Socialist,´ Hitler told Otto Strasser in 1930, ´and a very different kind of Socialist from your rich friend, Count Reventlow´. No one at the time would have regarded it as a controversial statement. The Nazis could hardly have been more open in their socialism, describing themselves with the same terminology as our own SWP: National Socialist German Workers´ Party. Almost everyone in those days accepted that fascism had emerged from the revolutionary Left. Its militants marched on May Day under red flags. Its leaders stood for collectivism, state control of industry, high tariffs, workers´ councils.
"Fascism was the shadow or ugly child of Communism...."
" As Fascism sprang from Communism, so Nazism developed from Fascism. Thus were set on foot those kindred movements which were destined soon to plunge the world into even more hideous strife, which none can say has ended with their destruction."
Schools no longer teach true history. Therefore the intended ignorance of the masses will be this country´s downfall. They think what they read and hear from the liberal press is fact . Lessons not learned from actual history are bound to be repeated.

When I was a young adult - - I was always puzzled by Hitler and the National Socialists being referred to as "right-wingers" - - but - - as I became a bit more politically sophisticated - - I realized that this was another instance of well-planned and well-executed communist propaganda.
The commies and the nazis were ideological peas in a pod - - but they were fierce rivals for power. So after the National Socialists were defeated - - the commie propagandists very conveniently had them branded as "right-wingers."
Now, that invented falsehood is commonly accepted wisdom - - the "nazis" - - never the "national socialists" - - were evil "right-wingers."
Face it - - the commies were very bad at virtually everything they did - - but they were (and are) master propagandists with a brilliant understanding of how to deceive the dumbed-down and the lo-fo.
"Back in 1927, an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for President on the Socialist Party ticket, said that the American people would never vote for socialism but he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program." - President Ronald Reagan, Circa 1961, speaking of socialized medicine, which later became known as "Medicare".
And look where we are today... Medicare is now sacrosanct. Handouts upon handouts are now the "law".
...And FDR, a big fan of Stalin, tended to give him what he wanted. That accounts for the huge satellite empire of Communist totalitarian states in easterm Europe that lasted until the end of the 1980s.
Just seven years ago, if someone had told me that I´d be writing for Christianity Today magazine about how I came to believe in God, I would have laughed out loud. If there was one thing in which I was completely secure, it was that I would never adhere to any religion—especially to evangelical Christianity, which I held in particular contempt. I grew up in the Episcopal Church in Alaska, but my belief was superficial and flimsy. It was borrowed from my archaeologist father, who was so brilliant he taught himself to speak and read Russian. When I encountered doubt,
I’ve been quite critical of President Obama over the course of his presidency. Earlier this week, for example, I wrote a piece in which I accused Mr. Obama of mendacity. So I take a back seat to no one when it comes to leveling harsh judgments against the president. But even I, an Obama critic, believe there are some lines one should not cross, some things that should never be said, some blows that are too brutal even for American politics. I had in mind what Jimmy Carter, who ranks with James Buchanan and a few others as among America’s worst
This fun little clip popped up on Twitter. It’s from 2008. In it, Washington Post Wonkblogger Ezra Klein admits that Obamacare would have to be passed, indeed Obama’s own election would require, a “sneaky strategy” because Democrats had been beaten roundly every time they had tried to pass anything close to a single-payer healthcare system in America. “At some point, you just have to win,” he tells the Netroots audience. None of those present seem to have a problem with what he says. Klein notes that 80-90% of Americans want healthcare reform, but the same number are happy with their
Senate Democrats voted unanimously three years ago to support the Obamacare rule that is largely responsible for some of the health insurance cancellation letters that are going out. In September 2010, Senate Republicans brought a resolution to the floor to block implementation of the grandfather rule, warning that it would result in canceled policies and violate President Barack Obama’s promise that people could keep their insurance if they liked it.(snip) On a party line vote, Democrats killed the resolution, which could come back to haunt vulnerable Democrats up for re-election this year.
PBS´s Tavis Smiley made a comment Thursday that every African-American as well as liberal media member should sit up and take notice. Appearing on Fox News´s Hannity, Smiley said, "The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category" (video follows with transcript and commentary):(snip) HANNITY: Are black Americans better off five years into the Obama presidency? SMILEY: Let me answer your question very forthrightly. No, they are not. The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people
Sen. Ted Cruz stood for hours on end Tuesday and into Wednesday this week making the case for defunding Obamacare. It´s a compelling case because Obamacare increasingly appears to be converting America into a nation of part-time workers, crushing the opportunity of businesses to expand and create new jobs, robbing millions of families and individuals of the doctors and health insurance President Obama promised they could keep, stifling medical innovation that could someday save countless lives, compromising the financial and medical privacy that was before sacrosanct, and in countless other ways subverting a private sector-based health care system that draws the
In his first national media interview since losing the New York City mayoral primary, former Rep. Anthony Weiner joined Geraldo Rivera for a nearly 20-minute appearance on Rivera’s radio show Friday, taking responsibility for his loss while also blaming the media for focusing on his sexting scandal. As he did on the trail, Weiner said he tried to run a campaign on the issues, but he admitted that revelations of further sexting after his resignation from Congress led to his loss. CNN’s revived “Crossfire” didn’t have much of a reason to celebrate as it went into the weekend: the resuscitated squawking-heads show dropped throughout its first week back on the air, hitting its lowest point yet with its Friday broadcast. What’s more, the new iteration of “Crossfire” also declined compared to the previous week, when “The Situation Room” aired in its timeslot, dropping 14 percent in total viewers and slipping 7 percent in the key 25-54 news demo.
Apparently, once again with respect to Syria, the White House was caught off guard by events they are frantically reacting to instead of shaping. Speaking to CNN´s Jake Tapper, a White House official publicly responded to Russian President Vladmir Putin´s New York Times op-ed with the admission that Putin "now owns" and has "fully asserted ownership" of America´s current foreign policy focal point; pushing Syria to surrender its chemical weapons: “That’s all irrelevant,” the White House official said
Don Surber is giving up blogging: After 7 years of blogging, I am quitting. I am exhausted. It was simply too much work. I am still employed by the Charleston Daily Mail and still writing editorial and columns and performing the sundry other tasks that go with any job.(snip) I was surprised today when I realized that as of August 8, Don Surber had returned to duty guarding the wall: Whoa — is @donsurber back in "business"? http://t.co/wOov2ujnEQ — Legal Insurrection (@LegInsurrection) August 16, 2013 @LegInsurrection Yup. Gotta figure her lead would be even bigger without Joe Miller in the field here. Her nomination for the taking? Alaska should be a top tier pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans next year…but their top choice of a candidate is Sarah Palin. 36% of GOP primary voters in the state say they’d like Palin to be their standard bearer against Mark Begich to 26% for Mead Treadwell, 15% for Dan Sullivan, and 12% for Joe Miller.
Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of US Secretary of State John F. Kerry, was taken to a hospital on Nantucket this afternoon, according to a person close to the family. Heinz Kerry, 74, was stricken with an unspecified medical condition while at the family’s vacation home on the island, said the person, who asked not to be named. Her husband was at the home at the time. An ambulance was seen leaving the home on Hulbert Avenue at about 4 p.m., the person said. Heinz Kerry is heiress to the Heinz ketchup fortune and the widow of former US Senator H. John Heinz III.
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
The health director who approved the release of President Obama’s birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday. Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday. The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed. Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) snapped at conservative groups that have come out in opposition to the budget deal reached Wednesday between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). "They´re using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday. Over the past few days, a number of conservative groups have blasted the deal because it sets discretionary spending levels in the budget higher than previous levels under sequestration. In the past three days, the influential Heritage Action, Club for Growth, Americans
Fox News host Megyn Kelly has made herself the center of a racial controversy by declaring that Jesus Christ and Santa Claus are white. On Wednesday night, Kelly was responding to an article by Slate writer Aisha Harris, who wrote an article entitled “ Santa Claus Should Not Be a White Man Anymore .” The popular news host told viewers of “The Kelly File,” her hit FNC program, “When I saw this headline, I kinda laughed and I said, ‘Oh, this is ridiculous. Yet another person claiming it´s racist to have a white Santa.’ And by the way, for all you kids
Views of the tea party are at all-time lows in a new poll, as primary challenges to establishment Republicans continue to heat up Washington. Just 30 percent of Americans view the tea party favorably in a new Gallup poll released Wednesday, the movement’s lowest point since Gallup began polling about it during its rise in 2010. Also in a first, a majority of Americans had an unfavorable view of the tea party, at 51 percent. Similar numbers of respondents described themselves as proponents or opponents of the tea party: Twenty-two percent identified themselves as tea party supporters, while 24 percent said they
THE Internet has been abuzz over the spectacle of President Obama and the prime ministers of Britain and Denmark snapping a photo of themselves — a “selfie,” to use the mot du jour — with a smartphone at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela in South Africa on Tuesday. Leaving aside whether it was appropriate, the moment captured the democratization of image making that is a hallmark of our gadget-filled, technologically rich era. Manifestly undemocratic, in contrast, is the way Mr. Obama’s administration — in hypocritical defiance of the principles of openness and transparency he campaigned on — has systematically tried
If you go down on the ice today you´re sure of a big surprise - a rare glimpse of 20 polar bears gorging on a bloody midnight feast. These photographs show a rare cluster of males, females and cubs all dining out on the remains of a whale carcass. They spent a night and a day stripping every last morsel from the mammoth sea creature. Usually Polar bears are solitary and would never tolerate being so close to each other. But with food in plentiful supply and bellies dragging on the floor they seem too lethargic to fight.Wildlife photographer Michal
The Sexiest Man Alive is being enlisted to spice up Obamacare. Pop singer Adam Levine, who won the designation from People magazine last month, is among the celebrities who’ll be promoting enrollment in online health insurance exchanges as part of a social media campaign kicking off tomorrow. With enrollment totals behind administration projections after the botched start-up of the federal exchange, 17 state exchanges joined by an advocacy group are drawing on Obama administration allies in entertainment and sports to promote sign-ups, using social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Reprising a tactic President Barack Obama successfully employed in his 2012 re-election, organizers
Mike Huckabee today ended his daily radio show heard on 200 stations across the nation, the first obvious sign that he is considering another presidential bid in what is shaping up to be a jammed 2016 GOP primary. He has hosted the “Mike Huckabee Show” on Cumulus Media since April 2012, but said that it takes up to nine hours a day to prepare. “As for the new endeavors, at this time, it would best for me to say, ?Stay tuned!´" he wrote on his Facebook page. Supporters won´t have to wait long. On Friday, he is participating in a “Pastors and
A South African government minister has said that "a mistake happened" in the hiring of a sign language interpreter accused of gesticulating nonsense during the Nelson Mandela memorial service. Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu said that officials have tried to track down the company that provided Thamsanqa Jantjie but that the owners "have vanished into thin air". Earlier on Thursday Jantjie claimed he is qualified but was hallucinating and hearing voices and said he is receiving treatment for schizophrenia. Millions of TV viewers saw Jantjie interpreting speeches by Barack Obama and other global leaders at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg. His gestures baffled and angered deaf
(Video) Speaker John Boehner´s (R-Ohio) outburst Thursday at outside conservative groups is going viral on the Internet. Boehner voiced incredulity Thursday that the same groups that pushed Republicans to shut down the government later said they knew the strategy wouldn´t succeed in defunding ObamaCare. “Are you kidding me?!” Boehner exclaimed at the GOP´s press conference at the Capitol. It’s the second day in a row Boehner has criticized the groups. People began tweeting that Boehner’s outburst would make a good Gif.
