Colbert Busch won´t focus
on brother in SC race

Associated Press, by Bruce Smith

CHARLESTON, S.C.— Elizabeth Colbert Busch remembers watching the funeral of Robert Kennedy on television, with her younger brother Stephen — now the star of Comedy Central´s "The Colbert Report" — sitting in her lap. She said to herself, "Someday, if they let women run for office, I´m going to." Now, she´s making that dream a reality with a run for Congress. And she isn´t worried her brother´s fame will overshadow her campaign. "I´m not. I´m so proud of what he is and what he has accomplished," she said in an interview in her campaign office

Her brother is a court jester for the democrat party.

"The community told me I could do it" (commie)
She throws in a reference to Robert Kennedy and lies about wanting to run for office when she was a kid. Lying = democrat

She´ll use or at least hope name recognition helps her.

I´m sure she´ll drop the "Busch" from her name so the LoFos don´t get confused.

Robert and Ethel Kennedy hired Ena Bernard in 1951 to care for their newborn daughter Kathleen. But over the next 44 years, Ena´s job would grow to include raising all 11 children in the growing Kennedy brood and staying on as a member of the family long after the youngest child was out of the house. Ms Bernard died last week at the age of 105 at her home in Sunrise, Florida. 85-year-old Ethel and all but one of her living children - Joe, Bobby, Kathleen, Kerry, Christopher, Maxwell, Douglas and Rory - attended her funeral Thursday.

During the August recess, a DREAM Act advocacy group intends to target Republican Representatives at town hall events to pressure them into supporting immigration reform legislation that will most likely be pending before them when they return to Washington in September. The DREAM Action Coalition (DRM Action) is urging activists to attend town halls throughout August in at least 30 states, even in heavily Republican districts, to ensure their concerns get aired. Breitbart News reporter Lee Stranahan attended a pro-immigration reform town hall, hosted by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX), in Houston last week and noted how important it was for

More than 100,000 people are eager to make themselves at home on another planet. They´ve applied for a one-way trip to Mars, hoping to be chosen to spend the rest of their lives on uncharted territory, according to an organization planning the manned missions. The Mars One project wants to colonize the red planet, beginning in 2022. There are financial and practical questions about this venture that haven´t been clarified. Will there be enough money? Will people really be able to survive on Mars? But these haven´t stopped some 30,000 Americans from signing up.

One of the Senate´s top three most obnoxious Democrats just got a serious thrashing by the editorial board of the home state´s largest newspaper. No, it wasn´t Chuck Schumer or Barbara Boxer. It was Dick Durbin and the Chicago Tribune. The editorial board started by throwing his own words in his face: "It is absolutely unacceptable to single out any political group - right, left or center - and say we´re going to target them. That is unthinkable. That goes back to some of the worst days of the Richard Nixon administration." -U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., on IRS targeting

Some of them have complained that CPS has been late releasing the maps. Training for safe passage workers, originally targeted by CPS for this week, is now set

Speaking with POLITICO this afternoon, CNN’s State of the Union anchor Candy Crowley said that her network’s decision to run a documentary series on the life of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will undoubtedly make “life more difficult” for her and her hard-news colleagues. Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus has been vocal in criticizing CNN and NBC for their respective films about the potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, threatening to pull the GOP out of their televised debates for fear of an inherent political bias against the party. Speaking with POLITICO’s Patrick Gavin, Crowley confessed that

President Obama is holding his news conference Friday in an historic room on an historic anniversary. Thirty-nine years ago, in the East Room of the White House, Richard Nixon made his farewell address after resigning the presidency over the Watergate investigation -- a final act for a pivotal figure in American history. That same day, Gerald Ford took the oath of office as the 38th president, a ceremony also held in the East Room. (By the way, this is not an attempt to compare Obama to Nixon and Ford; the anniversary is just a coincidence.)

Hurley and his fellow contestants were asked to name the 1863 document Abraham Lincoln said was a "fit and necessary war measure.´´ The answer – or question, rather – was the Emancipation Proclamation.

President Barack Obama held a rare press conference on Friday afternoon in the East Room of the White House, and was treated to all-too-common deference by the White House Press Corps. Only Ed Henry of Fox News asked a question that challenged the president in any way. The rest asked soft questions that often invited him to take shots at the Republican opposition and repeat talking points he has made repeatedly in recent speeches. President Obama began the press conference with a recapitulation of his efforts to grapple with the task of balancing national security with privacy rights

Justice: The wife of a Fort Hood survivor claims the Defense Department is "slapping victims with gag orders" and telling family members not to talk to the press following testimony in the trial of Nidal Hasan. One of the great scandals of the Obama administration has been its shameful designation of the Nov. 5, 2009, rampage at the Army base in Killeen, Texas, by Maj. Nidal Hasan as "workplace violence." It has only compounded the pain and suffering of the victims and their families who have now apparently been ordered to shut up about it.
