7 Things Democrats Would Have

Democrats were overjoyed when George W. Bush left office in January of 2009. Obama had promised to end Bush´s hawkish foreign policy and the "war on terror´s" detention and interrogation regime. But in the beginning of his fifth year as president, Obama´s record has been surprisingly similar to his predecessor´s in those areas. 1. Democrats fought George W. Bush’s troop surge in Iraq in 2006. Obama copied it in Afghanistan in 2009. You would think Democrats would react the same way they did to Bush´s surge policy. But they were really more like

Must See To Enjoy It!!

This is a fun one... thank you, OP.

I had no idea what to expect, so the surprise element made it even better.

P.S. Enjoy your handle, OP. I had a four foot tall stuffed Pink Panther and drove
down L.A. freeways and streets in a convertible with the top down and the Panther sitting on deck.
His scarf was waving in the breeze. Kept him there all the way to the old Getty Museum in Malibu back in the day. Fun.

Washington, D.C.—Something quite unexpected happened just hours ago, in the dark of night, during a two-day layover in Washington, DC. My son and I are scheduled to take part in a seminar outside of Raleigh, North Carolina this weekend, so we combined our travels to include a side-trip to DC for a business meeting we had previously arranged. It was during this layover that something seemingly ripped from the pages of a spy novel took place. While I was in the middle of a perfectly good and well needed sleep in the very early hours of this morning,

QUINCY – A mystery in Quincy continues to deepen: Who is flying around the city from dusk to dawn, for the past ten days or so? "It’s frightening, not just weird, but frightening,” said one resident of the Wollaston section. Every night for nearly the last two weeks, residents have spotted a low-flying aircraft doing loops over the city. WBZ has learned the FAA knows what’s going on, but the agency isn’t telling. “I mean it is strange. I don’t know if they’re looking for somebody, I have no idea,” one resident told WBZ. Minutes before the bombs blew up in Boston, Jeff Bauman looked into the eyes of the man who tried to kill him. Just before 3 p.m. on April 15, Bauman was waiting among the crowd for his girlfriend to cross the finish line at the Boston Marathon. A man wearing a cap, sunglasses and a black jacket over a hooded sweatshirt looked at Jeff, 27, and dropped a bag at his feet, his brother, Chris Bauman, said in an interview. Two and a half minutes later, the bag exploded, tearing Jeff’s legs apart.

CBS News has learned that multiple new whistleblowers are privately speaking to investigators with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya. The nature of the communications with the whistleblowers and their identities are not being made public at this time. But in response, the Oversight Committee yesterday sent letters to the three federal agencies involved: the CIA, the Defense Department and the State Department. The letters make the case for the whistleblowers to be able to share

Barack Obama´s administration has cut the budget nearly in half for preventing domestic bombings, MailOnline can reveal. Under President George W. Bush, the Department of Homeland Security had $20 million allocated for preventing the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by terrorists working inside the United States. The current White House has cut that funding down to $11 million. That assessment comes from Robert Liscouski, a former Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15 that killed three Americans and injured at least 173 others.

The Environmental Protection Agency acknowledged Tuesday that it released personal information on potentially thousands of farmers and ranchers to environmental groups, following concerns from congressional Republicans and agriculture groups that the release could endanger their safety. According to a document obtained by FoxNews.com, the EPA said “some of the personal information that could have been protected … was released." Though the EPA has already sent out the documents, the agency now says it has since redacted sensitive details and asked the environmental groups to “return the information.” But Sen. New Pope Francis I is a conservative in the mold of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II. That’s especially true on the issue of abortion, which he called a “death sentence” for the unborn in 2007. “We aren’t in agreement with the death penalty,” he said during that speech, “but in Argentina we have the death penalty. A child conceived by the rape of a mentally ill or retarded woman can be condemned to death.” In his writings, Francis wrote, “we should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence,’ that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion

The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them. “I feel sorry for Obama,” I said. As my wife looked at me in disbelief, I quickly added a correction. “Well, almost.” Beset by failures at home and abroad, the president cuts a lonely and sad figure these days. His aura of grief reflects his profound loss. His worldview crashed headlong into reality, and reality won. Obamaism is dead, may it rest in peace. That’s sad for him, but hold the tears — his loss is mankind’s hope. If Obama wakes from his utopian visions and faces the

The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The industry complaints come less than a week after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sought to downplay concerns about rising premiums in the healthcare sector.
