Van Jones Warns Dems

Rubio: He Is ‘To The Heart

Former White House Advisor Van Jones warned his fellow Democrats on Wednesday not to laugh too hard at Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) water drinking moment during his Republican response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address. Jones warned that Rubio is “dangerous” for Democrats because of his ability to connect emotionally with his audience. “I think people can chuckle today – they’re going to be worried about him tomorrow,” Jones said. New York Times columnist Ross Douthat said on CNN Tuesday that, regardless of how Rubio’s water drinking moment may overshadow his address, the Republican Party wants to

There is no one serving in the Senate or the House that I would support or vote for if they ran for President, including Mr. Rubio. Too many of the idiots who have broken it still are serving in DC, and I don´t trust any of them to be able to fix it (as they prove daily).

The left has their demonization starting way too early.

I´m not sold yet, and it is too soon to back one single person yet anyway, but it´s obvious the left thinks they need to destroy Rubio now. Marco Rubio does have that certain something that tells you he means what he says, and he uses some real terms to describe things, so unlike the doublespeak gobbledygook that runs out of most politicans´ mouths.

Besides the water moment, I thought his constant hand motions were a little distracting. I don´t know what else I would have him do, but I thought that was a little too much. Overall, I thought he did a good job.

What is wrong with you people? Here is a man speaking from his heart with real solutions. He wants to cut spending, he wants to reduce the deficit, he has a clear message, and all you guys can talk about is his "water moment" and his hand gestures. With people like you having the vote, we are surely doomed.

So Van Jones is admitting Paul Ryan is smart? Amazing.

All these new "superstars" are under a lot of pressure to appeal to everyone -- the establishment as well as the base -- and I guess that´s necessary in this over-politicized world.

The problem is, we aren´t going to win an election the Dems don´t want us to win again until the Republicans can reverse the devil´s pact they made that makes it illegal for them to accuse Dems of election fraud. So appeal is pointless. The Dems have the theft option in their back pocket and they have no incentive not to use it.

I have a vote, and it will not be cast for anyone that is pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens who broke our
laws to be in this country.

In my opinion, anyone who is FOR amnesty for illegals, does not have the best interests of this country or its citizens, at heart.

The amnesty that the gang of eight (that senator Rubio is a member of) is working on pushing down our throats, will, on the first day it is enacted, effectively provide amnesty for all illegals in this country, and BEFORE any upgrades to our border security take place.

That doesn´t sound like a very patriotic thing to do. It sounds like a dem thing to do, since dems get the hispanic vote overwhelmingly, and will continue to get that vote overwhelmingly.

So, what is it? Naive? Stupid? Call it what you will, but this guy is NOT a conservative. He is a pure bred, dyed in the wool, compromiser with the left, with no room for sticking to principles.

Some seem to be in favor of deporting teenagers who have never spent enough time in Mexico to even learn the language. I don´t think that is decent. As to deporting the other 12 million, that is impractical. A cunundrum. I will wait to see what is proposed before judgement.

#4 - it is not the voters. It is the candidates. If candidates turn off voters enough that they don´t vote, then shame on them. until the Republican party gets it through their thick skulls that it is NOT THE FAULT OF THE VOTERS, they are destined for Groundhog Day over and over again.

Our government has made the problem of illegals a problem for all of us. The solution is to no perpetuate what has already been done. It is unfortunate if there are children here who have been made rogue by their parents. There is already a path to citizenship for these people. It is called go back to where you came from, and get in line with the 1,000,000´s of people willing to be here legally.

As far as I´m concerned, anyone who supports amnesty for the lawbreakers, is not representing my or my countries best interests. It can´t start to be solved until you tighten the border, and eliminate the incentives to break our laws. Will we catch and deport all. Of course not. But we can make it harder to stay, and incent self-deportation. Or do we just every 30 or 40 years grant amnesty to the masses who have managed to avoid be caught breaking our laws.

We are either a nation of laws, or we´re not. It´s time the legal taxpayers here start having our represenatives represent us, not illegals.

Rubio in order to marginalize his voice and bring him down politically just as they have done so many times in the past against merited Republicans. ...Sarah Palin comes to mind.

I am sick about people lying about Rubio. He does NOT support "amnesty". He does think that there needs to be a fair way for children who were brought here by their parents very young (through no fault of their own) and who have NEVER KNOWN any other culture but ours to legally find a path to citizenship. It is stupid to expect someone who has never lived anywhere but here (except maybe the first year of their life--which I am sure they were totally unaware of) to go "back to their native country" in order to apply to come back here. That would be like essentially dropping someone off into some unknown foreign land and telling them to find their way back.

Survey: Ronald Reagan would

If presidential politics ever involved time travel, President Obama might be in a little trouble. If an election between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were held today, 58% would vote for Reagan over Obama, according to a survey of 1,000 Americans age 18 and older conducted by Kelton Research for the National Geographic Channel. Though when the field is narrowed to people ages 18-34 -- those either too young to have known Reagan as president or too young to remember much -- the gap shrinks to 51% in favor of Reagan.

We´ve got full background here, but the toplines are this: Corn got hold of a conversation apparently recorded during a presentation by consultants to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell´s reelection campaign. The consultants were opposition researchers, hired by the campaign to ferret out damaging information about actress Ashley Judd, who at one point considered running against McConnell.
