Another suggest a Waco scenario all over again, that he was this person holding out in a cabin, did nothing to instigate a high profile police hunt threatening police officers with a manifesto a hit list of names, including their families (BTW, one of the fatalities he is responsible for was the daughter of one person on the hit list)and had actually carried out his threats and killed several police officers.

As for ID, waiting for an autopsy to confirm identity probably would be standard operating procedure in all jurisdictions because nobody saw the human remains before they were "charred" and identifying features are probably unrecognizable, thus a positive visual ID would be next to impossible.

Cop haters are usually folks who have gotten what they felt was an undeserved traffic ticket, or couldn´t talk their way out of a citation. Who you gonna call when crime reaches into your home and threatens your very existence? Have a gun handy and a cell phone ready to call 911. They are there to help you even if you don´t like them.

The last shot the officers heard from Dorner was him committing suicide. Saved Southern California a lot of money and no one is sad to see him gone.

That afternoon, more than 400 LAPD officers, under the command of Captain Mervin King, along with the FBI, California Highway Patrol, and Los Angeles Fire Department surrounded the neighborhood. The leader of a SWAT team used a bullhorn to announce, "Occupants of 1466 East 54th Street, this is the Los Angeles Police Department speaking. Come out with your hands up!" a member of the SWAT team fired tear gas projectiles into the house. This was answered by heavy bursts of automatic gunfire, and a battle began.

Two hours later, the house caught fire. Two women left from the rear of the house and one came out the front (she had come in drunk the previous night, passed out, and woken up in the middle of the siege); all were taken into custody, but were found not to be SLA members. Automatic weapons fire continued from the house.

The rest died inside, from smoke inhalation, burns and gunshot wounds. After the shooting stopped and the fire was extinguished, 19 firearms—including rifles, pistols, and shotguns—were recovered. #20, I was wondering the same thing. Thought for a minute I had accidently entered the Daily Kos. Folks, the man had a shoot out going on with police before he (probably) shot himself. I neither know nor care how the fire started. He´s dead now and people like my cousin, a deputy in neighboring Riverside County, can breathe easier. Spare me the "evil cops" nonsense. This was a disturbed individual who had previously served his country in the Navy, and I´m sorry his life spun out of control and resulted in his death and that of several others. But the conspiracy theories being bandied about here in my favorite salon are sad.

I notice the depraved mainstream media always seems to show a picture of this monster with a big, wide grin standing next to an American flag wearing a soldier´s uniform. Makes you wonder what the msm is trying to tell us subliminally? They showed us pictures of that violent gang-banger Trayvon Martin looking like a school kid with a big smile also.
