| A body was removed tonight from the smouldering remains of the California mountain cabin where a man police believe is Christopher Dorner holed up, apparently ending a five-day manhunt for the ex-LAPD police officer accused of gunning down another cop. Police recovered a burnt body from the smoldering cabin high the San Bernadino Mountains near Big Bear, Calif., but were awaiting tests to officially confirm it belonged to Dorner, who for the past week was the most wanted man in America. Heavily armed police surrounding the cabin say they saw Dorner enter but never leave the building

Only after DNA proves it´s Dorner will I believe it. Until then, they should keep up the perimeter and surround the immediate area. Don´t take any chances until the identity is confirmed.

The circumstances that we all watched work out on TV this evening indicate with 99% certainty that the nut job set the cabin on fire, and then shot himself, after law enforcement who were surrounding the cabin observed the nut job enter the cabin, heard a shot, saw smoke and fire as the cabin was destroyed, without the nut job ever coming out. Just another in a series of suicide by cop schemes that have rared their ugly heads since the Aurora, CO, and Newtown, CT mass shootings. Obviously the California authorities will not jump to conclusions that they got their man until the nut job´s corpse has been scientifically identified.

Nice final touch with the "Reno style" building burn down. No long drawn out attempt to negotiate a surrender. The cabin, as we are told, had no telephone, internet connection or cable televison but of course CNN cut the live feed so Dorner could not see what was going on. Personaly, I would like to have heard what Dorner had to say about his actions, in his own words. All I have to go on are the internet postings which I am sure are impossible to manipulate, it´s nt like Google is colluding with government agencies. Dorner was a pretty chatty fellow, lots of twitter, internet posts even a manifesto but after he went rouge...silence...I´m sure it´s just my own cynisism...I´ll just move on, seriously what differance does it make now. It does leave a bad taste in my mouth though that the police have shot almost as many people as Dorner did.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school.
