Dr. Ben Carson leaving Johns Hopkins surgery post

| Be still, my heart. Dr Benjamin Carson is freeing up time and energy to pursue his passions in politics and education, retiring from surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Could world-renowned, up-from-the mean-streets of Detroit inspirational figure be the Man on a White Horse who could rescue America from the fiscal and social death spiral the progressives have foisted upon us? [Snip] Dr. Carson has the potential to transform America. He is anchored in reality and common sense, and possesses an extraordinary ability to speak clearly and directly.

What is really ashamed is that might allow him time to enter politics. And he might get elected. Thus, a capable, logical, competent, honorable man would deny an insecure, devious, dishonorable liberal such as a Schumer wannabe of a glorious elected for life position. Such a shame.

Dr. Carson´s speech was well timed and yes, he was not afraid to call out what a lot of the major problems are for the U.S. of A. Dr. Carson, along with Gov. Palin and Senator Ted Cruz are a shining example of individuals who are not afraid to bring the Truth to the forefront of conversation.

I don´t understand how so many fail to see the Dems and the media as the despicable slugs they truly are. Our country is in a shambles because of them. It is time for someone with intelligence, reverence, and a love for America to begin to straighten out the destruction.
As for Dr. Carson, if he is the man, may God truly bless him, keep him, and lay a protective hand upon him. There is so much to be done and so little time.

#5 is essentially correct. Dr. Carson´s qualities:
Common sense? check.
Grounded in faith? check.
Recognizes Founding Father´s original intent? check
Poltical outsider? check
conservative black? check
Consequently, our own political illuminati will therefore destroy him if he dares enter the arena.

Poor Bob Beckel on Fox News.
He keeps whining about how shameful it was for Ben Carson to give a "right wing political speech" at a Prayer Breakfast with the President in attendance.
As far as I was concerned, Carson was having a conversation with God. I can´t imagine a more beautiful prayer for our Country at a Prayer Breakfast. I can understand why an Anti-Christ would be squirming when hearing Carson.

#21 I agree with you & I know that Dr. Carson is blessed by God because "if God doesn´t promote you - you are not promoted". I would hope that he would speak to young medical students & get into education with speaking engagements to schools with his wonderful background of our Founders & American history. I think this is necessary for any Republican candidate. I am very wary of people speeding from one candidate to another trying to save our Republic without first giving thought to what will be best which is a true conservative like Carson,DeMint,Palin,Rubio or Cruz. I loved Carson´s speech & would vote for him if he is our candidate. Please y´all no 3rd Party even if Carson decides to start this momentum.

Ben Carson, the noted pediatric neurosurgeon, has become the target of a petition by Johns Hopkins students who want him removed as the medical school’s commencement speaker this spring. Dr. Carson became a media sensation in January when he questioned Obamacare and progressive taxation in a speech to the National Prayer Breakfast as President Obama sat just a few feet away from him. With his new prominence, Carson has apparently also riled some liberals, including these Johns Hopkins students.

Of all the arguments public-school advocates have used to hoodwink generations of parents into condemning their own children to years of state-controlled subservience training, one of the most successful is that without public schools, children cannot be properly "socialized," and will therefore be ill-prepared for life in the "real world." [Snip] The basic premise of the argument for public schools as necessary tools of socialization is that learning to get along, or fit in, with children one´s own age is a vital life skill. Is it?

The mysterious disappearance of about 30 dogs in southern Idaho has baffled animal control officials and raised concerns among dog lovers after a German shepherd was found with its head crushed in a suspected ritual killing. The missing canines range widely in size, breed and age. "The dogs seem to vanish into thin air," said Debbie Blackwood, director of the animal shelter in Twin Falls, Idaho. Officials say some 30 dogs have gone missing in recent months in Twin Falls and nearby communities in an agricultural region in south-central Idaho known as the Magic Valley.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that
