Would the Obama administration really
reject the Keystone XL pipeline?

Hot Air, by Erika Johnson

This entire time, I thought that there was hardly a real chance that the Obama administration would ultimately reject the Keystone XL pipeline when it really came down to it. Sure, they’ve been stalling out the wazoo — presumably hoping the PR furor over the proposal would die down a bit, and/or to think up some other tantalizing climate-focused projects with which to quell the green lobby’s inevitable anger — but there is too much bipartisan, international, high-profile and widespread support for the project as both a job creator and energy-security enhancer for the president to really shut it down

With such a stunning cutting edge "investment" record ... think Solyndra, Fiskar, Tesla ... why would the Class Clown want to be involved in anything so practical as Keystone?

I agree. Keystone is toast. The eco-terrorists are more important and besides, why would the putz want to add 20,000 workers working on the pipeline and 100,000 sundry jobs to the employment rolls? His job is to destroy jobs, not add them.

When you consider that the Saudis are big supporters of our "green movement" it is quite evident that the pipeline is in serious trouble. If approved I, for one, will be very surprised.

I don´t remember one common sense thing Obama has done since being in office, why start now.Obama thinks all infrastructure projects should be done by central planners at taxpayer expense. he looks at China which doesn´t have the financial burdens of safety net programs.

He does not need to reject it.

All he has to do is keep dragging his feet until the pipeline sending the crude to China tankers is built.

Yes, they would reject it. Opposition to the Keystone project has become a huge "cause" to the left, because they have been convinced that if this oil is burned, then Global Warming will destroy the planet. Therefore they think it is imperative to keep this Canadian oil in the ground.

The Sierra Club and other major eco-left organizations are dead-set against Keystone. When Obama has to make his choice between economic growth and "Saving the Planet," there is no doubt what his choice will be.

And, they have successfully bought off and now own key Indian "nations" in Canada and are they are using them as a front in fighting the good commie fight to stop Canada building any pipeline anywhere. Their wish is to halt any Oil Sands development at all. The entire Canadian enemedia [with one exception] is onside, too.

WASHINGTON — Russia’s annexation of Crimea, made official on Friday, was either entirely predictable or a total surprise. Russian President Vladimir Putin is either a madman acting on impulse or a calculating architect rebuilding the Soviet Union. Ukraine’s new leaders might be democratic reformists or, as Putin prefers, “nationalists, neo-Nazis, Russophobes and anti-Semites.” And the United States either wields tough sanctions tools that’ll isolate Moscow -- or has so little influence over events that U.S. policy is outdated and irrelevant.(Snip)President Barack Obama hasn’t offered an explanatory speech to the American people about why the Ukraine-Russia crisis is or isn’t of

You want to talk about social justice?” the Chicago union leader asked. “People always talk about how that there’s no political and values in math, that you can teach math without a place for social justice.” “Johnny has five pencils and if he

First lady Michelle Obama told students that freedom of speech should be a universal right during her extravagant, no-press-allowed tour of China — a hypocritical move that will surely draw the ire of critics, according to an expert. “That is troublesome. That goes beyond hypocritical, and I think the American media and the international media has every right to call her and the Obama administration on that — that they permitted that to happen,” said Tom Whalen, a political history professor at Boston University. “It makes you shake your head, albeit sadly.” The first lady stopped at Peking University in Beijing yesterday

That was all well and good: There’s nothing objectionable about a corporation making the decision to stop selling a product that is well-known to be harmful. (Though we could have done without the theatrics from President Obama, who felt the need to issue a statement “congratulating” the chain.) Black students are more likely to be suspended from U.S. public schools — even as tiny preschoolers. The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department´s civil rights arm. The suspensions — and disparities — begin at the earliest grades. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said. Six percent of the nation´s districts with preschools reported suspending at
