The secret war behind Benghazi

| Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack on the US consulate because of a secret low-level war in which American hit squads took out leaders of al Qaeda militias, which retaliated in Benghazi. There was never a protest at the consulate over the infamous anti-Islamist YouTube video. So says the new 80-page e-book, “Benghazi: The Definitive Report” (William Morrow) by Jack Murphy and Brandon Webb, two military veterans who specialize in reporting about clandestine operations at the website SOFREP.com. Their book, which they say is based on interviews with well-placed security types but contains

Comments: The allegations contained in this book are shocking. Will they allow Brennen´s nomination to go forward? He´s really a dangerous, deadly man.

Re: "“The nature of these operations remains highly classified. They were never intended to be known to anyone outside a very small circle in the Special Operations community and within Obama’s National Security Council. Ambassador Stevens, the CIA chief of station in Tripoli and then-director of the CIA, Gen. [David] Petraeus, had little if any knowledge about these JSOC missions.”
Appears that Obama has updated Nixon´s "plumbers" with a special assassination team outside of normal military and civilian control as well as congressional & judicial oversight. May explain why none of the 32 Americans who fled Benghazi on 9/11/12 have never been allowed to testify. Nixon´s plumbers led to his impeachment, as did Nixon´s secret bombing of Cambodia.

Assassination Czar.
The group controlled by Brennan is not military. Not CIA. It is Obama´s own private special operations force run by Brennan, who also runs the drone assassination program. The special ops force and Brennan neither answer to nor brief Congress, CIA, or DOD. They answer only to Obama. Obama´s personal and VERY PRIVATE Republican Guard.
Very interesting. It all fits the pattern of this regime. John Brennan is Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. He was appointed to that post, which does not require Senate confirmation.
Assassination Czar.

Sooooo, we have learned in the last 24 hours that Benghazi was a CIA operation. Chris Stevens seemed to play the role of facilitator. He was only guarded by CIA people. He needed more. The survivors must have been CIA folks. Hillary seemed clueless although the look on her face when those bodies came back was unbelievable. She knew they all were in trouble. She didn´t recover very fast from that. Obama seemed to get his bearings a lot faster because he went into CYA mode faster than anyone.
The whole Arab Spring debacle is mostly facilitate by our CIA and John Brennan. This is a huge foreign relations failure. Rush called it back then. Pray that this blows up in Obama´s face.

"The Joint Special Operations Command, which Brennan controls, is a collection of special forces outside of the regular military command originally formed as a hostage-rescue team. But in the middle of last summer, say Murphy and Webb, troops operating clandestinely under JSOC began infiltrating Libya."
It says, "outside the regular military command." Is that constitutional??????

The constitution does not give the president the power or the authority to put together a secret army with no judicial or congressional accountability or oversight. A secret military arm with a black budget and available to assassinate anyone, American or foreign, that the president feels inclined to assassinate. Nor does the constitution permit the president to secretly arm foreign countries or agencies with no congressional or judicial review.
This president must appear before a select committee at the very least, and if evidence supports, face impeachment by the house and trial by the senate.
If this does not happen now, we have lost the country. Every citizen, like it or not, now has a clear and present duty to do.

It would be very much like Obama to have special forces operating in secret and reporting to someone nominally in Homeland Security. This will be the group called on to assassinate the leaders of the coming revolution that starts at the grass roots level when people realize their rights have been ended.

Anyone who served in the military understands the importance of chain of command and unity of command. This president´s handlers are violating those concepts, which, in the end, will cause them substantial grief. Military field grade officers and above must be beside themselves, as they watch what the kenyan klown is doing. And putting brennan in charge of anything is no different than putting your slightly crazy uncle in charge of the family reunion.

The attack location at Benghazi was obviously a CIA operating base that was using the "Consulate" as cover. That´s why the administration has not publicly identified all of the 30 or so survivors who some in Congress want to de-brief.

They were arming Al Qaeda and it blew up in their face. Not only that, there are allegations of their gunrunning to Syria.
It´s more likely that Stevens knew everything and that´s why they let him die.

Nixon was forced into resignation after Watergate because of the very real threat of impeachment. The media made a huge deal of Watergate and was never going to shut up.
Nixon was never impeached. He was threatened with impeachment, and resigned before it happened.
The situation is very different now. The media is still (mainly) covering up for Benghazi. Without the media manipulating the opinions of the LoFo´s in America, Impeachment of Obama over Benghazi (even if successful) could backfire into another Democrat Presidential election in 2016.

In blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure, the Department of Justice has apparently declared that they do not require warrants for grabbing Americans’ emails and Facebook chats. The ACLU has gotten hold of the documents from the FBI and DOJ that show that a subpoena, which comes from a prosecutor, is all that is necessary to seize emails and chats. The FBI released a statement on the matter: In all investigations, the FBI obtains evidence in accordance with the laws and Constitution of the United States, and consistent with Attorney General guidelines.

The Benghazi scandal raises the issue of whether President Barack Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s lust for power is so addictive that they would sacrifice the lives of four fellow Americans, put scores of others in harm’s way, and then precipitate an ongoing national crisis through a long, torturous cover-up. We expect our politicians to lie. We expect them to be corrupt. We expect them to be a class unto themselves and to exempt themselves from the laws they create. We just don’t expect them to kill to attain power.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee was forced to push back a vote on Thomas E. Jon Stewart tonight took on today’s big Congressional hearing on Benghazi, and specifically on how it’s become the latest way Fox News has gone all-out in covering a potential Obama administration scandal while wondering where the rest of the media is. But Stewart pointed out that no one else is quite on board because everyone’s basing their outrage on speculation, and, frankly, “the denizens of Bulls**t Mountain have cried wolf before.” Stewart pointed out how Fox News has repeatedly highlighted how each different testimony in the past few months would be the big game-changer on Benghazi,

As whistleblowers came forward on Capitol Hill regarding the potential cover-up surrounding the Benghazi, Libya terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2012, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney insisted the investigation was “politicized” and “non-substantive.” But he refrained from questioning the congressional witnesses making allegations that the administration has been dismissing. A reporter asked Carney at today’s briefing, “Do you question their motivation?” Carney said, “I don’t. I’m simply saying there has been an ongoing effort to politicize this. But beyond that,

On Wednesday, the Associated Press mischaracterized the Benghazi hearings as merely a Republican event, even though it is an official House committee investigation. In the headline of its report, the Associated Press downplayed the official hearings of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee--that has both Democrats and Republicans on it--into the failures surrounding the 2012 attacks on our embassy personnel in Benghazi, Libya. The AP characterized the official hearings as "GOP hearings," making the proceedings seem like a mere political witch-hunt.

The party that swept into power on promises of transparency and accountability scrambled Wednesday to circle wagons in an extravagant attempt to protect administration officials, the White House and the woman many Democrats hope will be their next nominee for president. Congressional Democrats strenuously tried covering up the inquiry into the botched handling and dishonest aftermath of the terrorist attack on a U.S. facility in Benghazi that left dead our ambassador to Libya and three other Americans.

First lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday said New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) suffers from adulthood obesity and is an example of why her "Let’s Move" campaign is such an important initiative. Speaking Wednesday on the "Today" show, the first lady was asked to comment on reports that Christie secretly underwent a medical operation in February to help him lose weight. "The one thing I will say is that there are millions of people like the governor who struggle with adulthood obesity, and that’s one of the reasons why ´Let’s Move´ is so important,” she said.

For a good idea of how anxious Obamacare supporters are about the law´s rollout, read former White House health adviser Ezekiel Emanuel´s op-ed in The Wall Street Journal this morning: Transforming the U.S. health-care system—which is larger than the economy of France—is one of the most daunting administrative tasks government has ever confronted. There will be bumps in the road; this is inevitable. Setting up the exchanges will pose a host of technological challenges, such as digitally linking an individual´s IRS information (which determines a subsidy level) to the insurance offerings in the individual´s home area

Laugh if you must but it’s no goofier than the idea that “due process” implies a substantive right to kill a baby in the womb but not five minutes later, after it’s emerged. Bsides, Jackson Lee’s been consistent on this. Back in January 2011, right after the new Republican House majority was sworn in, she started arguing that repealing O-Care would amount to a deprivation of due process under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. There’s a certain ruthless logic in her reaching for the Constitution right after the Democrats’ hold on power began to slip in

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. It’s a remarkable comeback for a man many pundits had written off after his highly publicized affair with an Argentine

There was tragic incompetence, plainly, in the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and even possibly some political calculation. It is a record that may well come to haunt Hillary Clinton, the first Secretary of State to lose an ambassador in the field in more than three decades, if she runs for president in 2016. But the obvious Republican effort to turn this inquiry into the Democratic (Obama) version of the Iraq intelligence scandal that has tarred the GOP since the George W. The AP called the race for Sanford early in the evening, with the Republican leading Colbert Busch 54 percent 46 percent.
