Obama punted to Panetta for U.S
response to Benghazi attack

Washington Times, by Guy Taylor

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta on Thursday revealed he personally broke the news to President Obama that the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, was under attack last year — but he and the president didn’t speak the rest of the night as the assault on the compound unfolded.Mr. Panetta said he and Mr. Obama, along with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, discussed the attack for 15 minutes in the Oval Office the afternoon of Sept. 11,

The worthless piece of crap "commander in chief" couldn´t be bothered with trying to save American lives -- he had to get ready to go to a fundraiser in Las Vegas. I grieve for all our fine men and women in the military who have to serve under this ass clown.

This is shameful, capital letters, no question. Barack should be shunned and ridiculed. But why didn´t Leon put on his big boy pants, take it to the president, and make a rescue happen?

None of this makes sense until you realize the essential truth: Obama-supporting Democrats do not want His Majesty to be, and definitely did not elect His Majesty to be, a good commander in chief. Obama-supporting Democrats loathe the American military even more than Clinton did - so why in the world would they want their anti-American Idol to act responsibly and patriotically in this part of his duties? They don´t. It´s obvious, when you see it.

Had they seriously wanted a responsible commander in chief, would they have ever considered voting for Obama? Of course not.

Unless the repub House and dim Senate are willing to do the right thing and remove Obie and the others responsible for the Benghazi crisis (the PIAPS can certainly try on a pair of handcuffs as she is led to prison), nothing will change. His troll Carney will continue to confuse and confound right out of the liberal play book.

Zippy didn´t even touch the ball. All he did was call for some ambiguous play in the huddle and walk off the field. In classic ´´lead-from-behind´´ form, the gutless wonder evinced a dereliction of duty heretofore unmatched by any past president.

Detached Barry sat out Benghazi???
Well, surprise, surprise, surprise!

IMO, President Jarret told him that he needed to be as far away from the Benghazi events as he could get. Making the domestic political assessment, I think she told him to, ´´Let Leon handle it.´´ Political considerations --- especially late in the reelection campaign --- trump everything in this WH, and certainly did on this one. Despicable.

In the case of Bin Laden, Obie insinuated himself into the middle of the action post hoc, because it was a successful mission. In this case he´s in "the buck never got here" mode because the outcome was horrific. So horrific, that he would rather look unpresidential by his lack of leadership, than to be responsible for what will eventually be revealed as an impeachable secret gun running operation to aid al Queda.

Now, what is Hillary´s excuse for being AWOL? These were her people who were operating on her orders. Why was she unavailable?

The all need to come before a select committee.

Perhaps Panetta and Dempsey did nothing because they didn´t have CBA (Cross Border Authority) from Obama...
Where was the Commander in Chief that night as our people fought to their deaths? Where was Obama as our military couldn´t help our people under fire, fighting for their lives in the name of our president, sent there by him for the USA...but got no help.... as they had no permission?

Was he playing basketball? With Reggie Love? Was he drunk? MIA? Dereliction of duty? Just doesn´t care if Americans are slaughtered?

Obama no more belongs leading this nation than Frank Marshall Davis did...

Panetta stated he, Hillary and Dempsey wanted to send help into Syria..to arm the rebels...but Obama would not give permission...This is a set-up. Another LIE

They were gun running and Missile running out of the Benghazi Annex. British papers are reporting weapons from Benghazi are showing up in Syria and in Algeria....being used by AlQaeda. Which is why Panetta is erecting a wall saying Obama would not agree to arm the rebels....BECAUSE he was ILLEGALLY SELLING ARMS TO OUR ENEMY ALQAEDA and Benghazi was the point of sale for arms running...
the Lockheed COO resigned when Petraus did for the same BS reason which stinks because he had tripled arms sales, yes 3x the arms sales in 2011....

Guess we know where those 40,000 missing missile and Man-pads came from that Congressman Jason Chaffetz referred to that were missing out of Libya...

Obama armed the Middle East for the Arab Spring that turned it over to the IsalmoCommunists, The Muslim Brotherhood.

Question: What is worse than the pathetic empty chair that somehow still bears the title CIC?

Answer: The people who are protecting him - like Panetta saying there is no doubt in his mind that Obama cared about those who died while hoping our CIC would send help.

One of the things that Panetta said is that they were getting ready to deploy. So what happened? Didn´t someone contact Obama to ask for the authority? Panetta said he only talked to zero once. Someone else must have asked, right? Seems to me there is a lot more to know.

FTA: “We sit around all day long and talk about the resources that we should have and don’t have. … [But] the big problem here is the cover-up, and nobody talks about it, and that’s a tragedy.”

And they still won´t talk about it. 0bama can´t be bothered with things like this. He and his delightful wife are in it for the perks only. He´s a national disgrace and the most destructive man ever to reside in the White House. I pray with all my might that there comes a day where he will pay for what he has done to us and this country. That would include those in his regime also.

Of course they didn´t bother him anymore. The plan was going as scripted, the ambassador was being kidnapped. The meddling Seals missed things up and Stevens got killed. Obama retired to his privacy to get stoned on cocain to celebrate the anniversary of 9-11-01 and when the botched plot was discovered, the phony documentary story went ahead as planned.

The problem was that there was no leadership. Obama didn´t step up, Panetta didn´t step up, Clinton didn´t step up.

Obama proved over and over again that he is no leader during his stint in Harvard and state and federal legislature. He chose Panetta, who is a career bureaucrat, to ´lead´ DoD. Panetta has stepped up with women in combat and benefits to ´gay partners´ as his signature accomplishments.

The administration is a hollow vacuum from the top down.

Huckabee played clips of Senator Lindsey Graham absolutely hammering Panetta in the hearings.
Panetta was desperately trying to give Obama cover
and avoid answering Graham´s
relentless questioning.
It was Graham who got Panetta to finally admit that Obama bugged out during the crisis.
Graham has been terrific the last couple of weeks in the various Senate hearings from Hagel´s confirmation,
gun control and Panetta.
Limbaugh continues to besmirch Senator Graham when he should be getting kudos.
So..was Panetta the acting POTUS or was it Valerie Jarrett or Michelle ?
Where was Obama that night and what was he doing ?
The 25th Amendment must be invoked when the president is unable to perform
the duties of the office.
Biden should have been the one legally acting as POTUS.
Lawless doesn´t even begin to describe this administration.
We do not have an ethical national media ,
the Democrats will always cover for Obama ,
the Republicans are the minority party in the Senate,
down 10 seats ,
and the House Republicans have a shrunken majority .
It´s almost impossible to hold Obama accountable and he knows it.

Obama is a muslim with black power/Black Panther sympathies going back to 20 years with Rev. Wright. Eric Holder is the same kind of racist.
I bet if Panneta told Obama on 9/11/2012 that the four trapped Americans in Benghazi were blacks then Obama would have send gunships to help them right away.

Pennetta talked to Obama about the trapped Americans at 50PM for 15 minutes on 9/11/2012. After that, Peneta could not reach Obama. Where was Obama all night were he could not be found? Was he drunk, or high on dope, or was he shooting basketball. Two weeks later, Obama in a speech to the UN still blamed the Benghazi violence on a silly video made by an old Coptic man living in Los Angeles. Obama, Susan Rice and Hillary all lied, lied and LIED and our pinko media bought it hook, line and sinker. I don´t know if MSM reporters are dumb, commies, or just love Obama because he is a black pinko?

Ya know. I don´t want to start rumors, but Zero and PIAPs were really, really cozy together on that 60 Minutes interview. I mean, didn´t she say they could finish each other´s sentences? So, could it be possible they were together on the night of the attack and that´s why neither one of them was available? I mean BOTH were unavailable at the same exact time? What are the odds of that? And that´s why they jumped on the video story. And that´s why the poor man that made the video is still in jail so that Moochelle and the Bent One and all the little Moochelles and Chelsea can be spared the embarrassment of this possible liaison? Huh? Possible? Truth is stranger than fiction as someone said.

Sarcasm now off....If I could be more disgusted with anyone than these Obama administration lowlifesy, it would be the hypocritical, bottom feeding, dishonest press. Panetta and Dempsey set up the next chapter...it is about o leak out that guns and missiles were being sold out of Benghazi...as they´ve recently turned up in Algeria and Syria ....in the hands of AlQaeda

Obama was gun running out of Benghazi...missile running...and those two fellow travellers made a point of statingObama didn´t want to arm the rebels but Hillary, Panetta and Dempsey did...they tried to put a wall of protection up for Obama...as the other shoe is about to drop.

#48...Clinton is every bit the communist Obama is...
Had Gingrich not stopped him and Hillarycare, and the press been as corrupt as they are the American people would have received their chains then...instead of under Obama

The city’s public schools are in the grip of a suicide epidemic. Ten students have taken their own lives in the past seven weeks, according to remarks made Saturday by Chancellor Carmen Fariña. “As chancellor, I’ve been on the job seven weeks, and there have already been 10 reported suicides. We cannot allow those,” she told 250 new principals at Stuyvesant HS during a private meeting. “I get those e-mails all the time. And it makes me heartsick.” The tragic statistic — which amounts to more than one suicide per week — has not been released publicly. The Post obtained a recording of Fariña’s

WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney said Sunday that President Barack Obama is naive when it comes to Russia, has shown "faulty judgment" about Moscow´s intentions and could have done more to try to deter its annexation of Crimea. The 2012 Republican presidential nominee said Obama didn´t have the foresight to anticipate Russia´s moves and should have been working earlier with allies to make clear the penalties that Russia would face if it moved into Ukraine. Romney did acknowledge that such steps may not have been enough though to hold back Russia President Vladimir Putin. "Had we communicated those things, there´s always

Ten of the consulting firms that formed the core of the push to elect Mitt Romney — reaping a combined $1 billion in the process — have survived a tea party assault and are again among the highest-grossing and best-positioned players in Republican politics. The firms and their consultants have been paid more than $19.6 million for 2014 campaign work through January, according to a POLITICO analysis. They’ve also cemented relationships with some of the GOP’s rising stars, setting up the firms for even bigger paydays headed into the fall, when costly advertising and mail campaigns begin, and for a 2016

Viral Video Turns Senator

WASHINGTON — When Senator Mitch McConnell’s re-election campaign released two-and-a-half minutes of video footage featuring him wordlessly smiling, it was most likely hoping to provide a friendly “super PAC’ with high-quality images of Mr. McConnell to use in ads. Instead, the campaign got a viral video sensation that exploded on the Internet last week, and even spawned its own term — “McConnelling.” The phenomenon started on Tuesday when the campaign put out a web video filled with genial images of Mr. McConnell, the Kentucky Republican and minority leader: Mr. McConnell smiling at the camera; Mr. McConnell smiling at his wife; Mr. McConnell

In East Harlem, my old neighborhood, two buildings collapsed because of a gas leak, scores are injured or missing, and at last count, 8 persons were killed in this tragedy. The 13th district Democrat Congressman, Charles Rangel, calls it ‘our community’s 9/11’ and that he’s "never had anything this horrific that’s happened in my community since I’ve been in Washington." Well, I don’t know where he was on September 11, 2001 but it obviously wasn’t in New York City. If he was in Washington, surely he would have been horrified by the Pentagon attack for on that day in America,

LONDON — Talks between U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov over the crisis in Ukraine reached an apparent impasse Friday, with Lavrov indicating afterward that the two had reached no “common vision” and Kerry saying that Moscow is determined to let a Crimean secession vote go ahead. Kerry told reporters that after six hours of talks with Lavrov, “the foreign minister made it clear that President [Vladimir] Putin is not prepared to make any decision regarding Ukraine until after the referendum on Sunday.” He referred to a Crimean vote on independence, which Crimean officials

Full disclosure I’m a bit of a fan of “Between Two Ferns,” which is to say it is sometimes very funny and sometimes not. That seems fitting given that it is on a site called “funny or die.” Sometimes it is funny and sometimes it dies. The same can be said of the president’s stint on the show. I think some of it is funny. Some of it is not. As for the complaint that it was unbecoming, I’m a bit torn. I don’t fret overly about the dignity of the presidency. President Clinton arguably did more to undermine the dignity of

Senator Rand Paul focused his highly popular speech last week at CPAC on his constitutional objections to U.S. national-security policy. But he has broader plans for a more libertarian, non-aggressive foreign policy and he’s considered a contender for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, so he laid out what President Paul would do about the Ukraine crisis in an op-ed for Time. As Jonathan Chait points out, he doesn’t seem to have thought this out very well. President Paul would suspend its plans for this summer’s G-8 summit — which President Obama’s already done. He would urge “our European allies to leverage

I´ve had my eye on Detroit´s bankruptcy proceedings because it is indicative of what´s to come for a lot of cities. How Detroit deals with its bankruptcy could also set a precedent for other cities forced to deal with the decisions of bankruptcy, satisfying pensions and debtors. Unfortunately, Detroit´s Emergency Manager Kevin Orr is shirking his responsibilities to the city and creditors by not making the hard choices to put Detroit on sound financial footing. As I wrote a few months ago, the key is the art. If you or I were to file for bankruptcy, we would be forced to sell

A major Democratic donor pleaded guilty on Monday to funneling millions of dollars in illegal campaign donations to federal and local politicians, including an unnamed 2008 presidential candidate believed to be Hillary Clinton. District of Columbia businessman Jeffrey Thompson, who federal prosecutors say financed a “shadow campaign” for D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray in 2010, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate campaign finance laws. Thompson claimed some of the candidates, including Gray, were aware of the illegal fundraising. According to prosecutors, Thompson funded a $600,000 shadow campaign “in coordination with and in support for a federal candidate for president of the United States.” The charges

Congressional Republicans, led by House Oversight Committee chair Darrell Issa, are planning another IRS coal-raking exercise for Wednesday, hauling the tax agency´s commissioner in for a hearing about the nearly year-old tea party targeting scandal. [Snip] An aide to one Republican committee member said Monday that the White House and the Treasury Department were already dangerously close to causing a constitutional crisis. ´They´ve blown off the subpoenas,´ the aide said, referring to legal demands the committee issued to the IRS on August 2 and February 14. ´If the DOJ keeps dragging its heels too, and can just get away with it,

A pair of potentially catastrophic cases will be argued before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. These cases are brought by privately held, for-profit corporations that are arguing their religious convictions should preclude them from offering employees the health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers don’t want to allow their employees’ insurance to cover some forms of birth control because, contrary to medicaland scientific evidence, they believe some birth control causes abortions. Corporations are not people. Corporations cannot have religious views. If religious rights are extended to corporations, it puts us on a slippery slope where any private company

Former President Jimmy Carter is back in the news this week publicizing a new book about women’s rights. But, as is often the case with Carter, he drew more interest for comments he made about Israel and its supporters. When asked on NBC’s Meet the Press yesterday by Andrea Mitchell why it was that Barack Obama never called upon him for advice, he made it clear that the Jewish state was the reason he has been treated like a pariah: I—that’s a hard question– for me to answer—you know, with complete candor. I think the problem was that– that in dealing

Media Matters, the website of choice for Fox News haters everywhere, attacked the cable news network on Monday for using the term “homosexual” in its programming — advancing the peculiar argument that the scientific term has a “pejorative connotation.” The online “media watchdog” contends that calling gay people “homosexual” is “a practice that’s quickly falling out of favor with major news outlets due the term’s often pejorative connotation and frequent use by opponents of LGBT equality.” Fox News, they chide, “has yet to update its language when referring to gay and lesbian people.” Buttressing their argument? Some of our most famous athletes, like LeBron James, and artists, like the singer Janelle Monae, came from struggling families like mine, as do many business leaders -- like Howard Schultz. He’s the head of a company called Starbucks, which many of you may have heard of. When Mr. Schultz was a boy his father lost his job, leaving their family destitute. But Mr. Schultz worked hard. A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the sweeping acceptance of gay marriage in recent years is owed in large part to Christianity. Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,

Most Supreme Court watchers are fixated these days on Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby—the important challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate scheduled for argument Tuesday. And why wouldn’t they be? With its potent mix of religion, sex, Obamacare, and prayerful corporations, it’s the blockbuster case of the term. It is also a crucial test of Chief Justice John Roberts’s leadership on the Supreme Court. Just two years ago, Roberts cast the deciding vote to largely uphold the Affordable Care Act. While the country remains divided over whether he acted like a traitor or a statesman, all would have to agree

It’s not an early April Fool’s joke -- Business Insider has hired disgraced former NYC Congressman and mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to write a weekly political column, starting Friday. Hunter Walker, Business Insider’s politics editor, published the announcement on Monday, after teasing the news on Twitter by announcing that “something wonderful is about to happen.” The folks at Business Insider are clearly aware of the built-in entertainment value of hiring the scandalized politician, who is best known for sending an explicit photo of himself to an online mistress on Twitter -- and initially denying the photo was his. During oral arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday which focused on whether the contraceptive mandate in the Affordable Care Act violates the free exercise of religion, Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan suggested employers who have moral objections to birth control should not provide health care coverage for their employees. “But isn´t there another choice nobody talks about, which is paying the tax, which is a lot less than a penalty and a lot less than -- than the cost of health insurance at all?” Sotomayor said during the presentation by attorney Paul Clement, who represents Hobby Lobby Stores
