| The Family Research Council shooter, who pleaded guilty today to a terrorism charge, picked his target off a "hate map" on the website of the ultra-liberal Southern Poverty Law Center which is upset with the conservative group´s opposition to gay rights. Floyd Lee Corkins II pleaded guilty to three charges including a charge of committing an act of terrorism related to the August 15, 2012 injuring of FRC´s guard. He told the FBI that he wanted to kill anti-gay targets and went to the law center´s website for ideas.

Harry Reid announced today that there will likely be a gun vote on Thursday. "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) likely has the votes on gun control legislation to clear its first procedural hurdle -- a victory for the gun control community, though one that hardly guarantees the bill´s passage," reports the Huffington Post. "The majority leader announced on Tuesday evening he would submit for a vote the bill to expand background checks, implement a federal trafficking statute, and enhance school safety measures. RUSH: The media is not happy that Obama is underwater on the polling data on all these issues: Immigration, gun control, whatever else. He´s under 50%, and the media is worried about this. They´re not accustomed to Obama being underwater. They´re accustomed to Obama, no matter what´s happening in the country, being at 55%. They´re accustomed to whatever´s happening in the country not attaching itself to Obama. Now it looks like some of it might be attaching itself to Obama, and they´re a little bit concerned about it, and it may even be that Obama´s concerned about it.

Clifford Hart, the State Department´s special envoy to the now-defunct six-party talks, met North Korea´s deputy ambassador to the United Nations Han Song-ryol in mid-March, just before North Korea began its latest string of provocative statements and actions, diplomatic sources said. DUBAI - A powerful earthquake killed four people in southern Iran on Tuesday close to the country´s only nuclear power station, state television and agencies reported. A Red Cross official said two villages had been heavily damaged by the magnitude 6.3 quake but the Russian company that built the Bushehr plant said the reactor was undamaged.
