Washington – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he´s completely supportive of the Obama administration´s reasoning behind drone strikes on terrorists on foreign soil, even those who are American citizens. When asked by a reporter on Wednesday if he was "comfortable with the administration’s rationale on drone strikes," Graham said, "Yes, I´m totally supportive of the administration´s rationale on drone strikes." According a document obtained and reported on by NBC News, American citizens can be targeted and killed by the U.S. government if the person is believed "to be a ´senior operational leader´ of al-Qaida or ´an associated force´"

Really Miss Lindsey?? With friends like this who needs enemies. Un.be.lievable.

The problem is that these so-called "traitors" have not been charged with anything, much less found guilty.

Yes, I do have a problem with this president, (or any pother), being able to just execute anyone, on his whim, with a nod of his head.

Yes, I absolutely have a problem with that.

I´ve thouhgt Graham was a buffoon ever since I first saw him during the ill-fated Clinton impeachment hearings, where he reminded me of Huckleberry Hound! Have to admit I agree with him here, though.

Would other posters have disagreed with a drone strike on John Walker Lind had he not been captured? Really??

Good riddance to those who embrace Islamic terrorism, no matter their nationality!

The most obvious problem with this policy is that the drones kill indiscriminately. They are bombs and they don´t just strike the intended target. They kill civilians, women, children, strangers, passers-bye, you name it.
What legal right does the Government of the USA have to injure or murder people who have no terrorist relation to the specific target. Some may be relatives, friends, acquaintences,
or just innocent people nearbye the "target".
I find this action despicable. Bomb a vehicle with a suspected terrorist and kill 3 other people who have nothing to do with terrorism.
That is no way decent way for a society to act. Unless you are Jay Carney, reporting for
The President, and the rest of the patriotic
cretins running the show. All my opinion.
These people are not citizens of Countries we are at war with. The Government of the U>S> has not declared war. This is murder by association. I do not believe that we have the right to kill or main innocents, even children. That´s why car chases in the U>S>
by police are often called off. The risk to innocents is too great. Obviously, overseas
we can kill anyone we please whether or not they are intending some hostile action against the U>S> and it is escalating the hatred of the U>S> by the populations of these Countries where the Drone strikes are occurring. I believe that it is causing more harm than good. As I said, just my opinion.

Well, this is one way to handle corruption and government abuse: Make it the official thing to do. A group of Democratic senators urged the Obama administration on Thursday to cap the amount of political activity that tax-exempt 501(c)(4) groups can engage in at 5 to 15 percent. The 15 senators, in public comments on a proposed regulation change that grew out of the IRS targeting controversy, said that the rules need to ensure that 501(c)(4)s can’t use their tax-exempt status to go around campaign finance rules. “You will undoubtedly receive complaints from certain corners that these proposed rules will

White House records reveal the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has completed its review of the DOJ rule, one of 23 executive actions ordered by President Obama more than a year ago in response to the 2012 shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn. The exact timing of the planned action was not clear Friday afternoon. The final rule sets out three changes to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), created 20 years ago in an effort to keep guns out of the wrong hands. The updated regulations will grant tribal police access to NICS and authorize law enforcement agencies to use

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is scrapping a controversial study about newsroom practices. “The FCC will not move forward with the Critical Information Needs study," an agency spokesman said Friday, referring to an FCC study that would have involved going into U.S. newsrooms to examine their editorial practices. The backlash to the study grew after a Republican on the FCC, Ajit Pai, published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal warning that the agency "plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run."
