New Poll: Majority of Americans
Want Illegal Immigrants to Head
Back to Home Countries

Townhall, by Katie Pavlich

Original Article

A new poll released by the Center for Immigration Studies shows the majority of likely voters simply want illegal immigrants to head back to their home countries. A new poll using neutral language — and avoiding the false choice of conditional legalization vs. mass deportations — finds that most Americans want illegal immigrants to return to their home counties, rather than be given legal status. The findings also show a very large gap in intensity, with those who want illegal immigrants to head home feeling much stronger about that option than those who would like to

No kidding! This is one poll you won´t see run 24/7 on the MSM. Does Rubio know this?

The last thing we need is more "border securty." What we need is a 2000 mile long, 100 yard wide mine field. What with the dead bodies laying randomly around, most everybody will be able to figure it all out.

So what if a majority want illegals to be deported?
A majority are opposed to gay marriage. How´s that going?
A majority are opposed to Obamacare. How´s that going?
A majority are opposed to high government deficits. How´s that going?
A majority are supportive of 2nd Amendment rights. How´s that going?
A majority do not want religion banned from all aspects of public life. How´s that going?
A majority are socially conservative. How´s that going?

When Amnesty comes, adding millions of reliably Democrat voters, we´ll no longer be the majority.

I like a 6 lane interstate along the border with an 80 mph speed limit. To keep traffic at a good level, give away fuel at the rest stops. Would be the cheapest "fence" we could build.

The illegals do not want to go home; they get FREE healthcare, FREE welfare, FREE food stamps, FREE dental care, FREE education for their kids with FREE breakfasts, and every other free program the progressives give to them. Why would they go home?

Most illegal aliens come here because they know that with readily procurable bogus ID that they can pretty easily get hired to a US job that will pay them more then they can earn in their home country. If that is deemed not to be true anymore by prospective illegal aliens they will no longer come here in large numbers.

Therefore the US Government should re-issue the US social security card in modern high-tech form, to everybody under age 55 who is authorized to work in the USA, US citizens and legal aliens alike. The new card should have a digital photograph of the bearer, other biometric identifiers, and have instant electronic verification.
capability.

When employers hire anyone, they must be required to have the employee present the new card, then the employer must be required to review the new card to ensure that the person presenting the new card is the person to who it was issued by comparing the person to the digital photograph on the card, and then the employer must be required to electronically verify that the card is a valid card, just like commercial credit cards are instantly verified today.

With effective enforcement, and a secure issuing environment to ensure that the government is not issuing the new card to illegal alien impostors who fraudulently apply, such an employee verification system would keep most illegal aliens out of most American jobs worth them having.

The result over time would be a large percentage of the current illegal alien population going back home once they realized that their chances of getting a US job in the future was almost nil.

I do not want them to go back home. I´m fine with them becoming citizens. But . . .

I want them to respect me, my country, my culture, my borders, my laws and I want them to learn English.

And I want them to quit blaming me for the consequences of the fact that they made the choice to violate our laws for all these years.

This mess is not my fault! It´s the Democrat party´s fault for pimping them all these years and the Democrat party is not going to stop.

Da*n right. There is no legal justification for them to displace people in the legal immigration process. and I well understand
the hardships for the children of these illegals. They were put in this unanswerable position by their parents. and this is all the fault of our Government who for years has refused to protect our borders. if they had done so, this situation would not exist. How about deporting a member of Congress in exchange for each illegal alien we allow to stay. Oh, wait, where would they go. No other Country in the World lets people just wander into their territory with no ramification.
Maybe if you were able to swim to Australia they would issue an exemption based on your
hardship.

They broke the law to get here (I´m fairly certain that what illegal means, breaking the law) they should be rounded up and sent home.

If Americans do something illegal they either pay a fine or go to jail. Why is it that people that break the law to get here are rewarded with the gift of being allowed to stay here and eventually citizenship?

Throughout the history of the immigration laws there has never been a special "path to citizenship" for any group of aliens, other then US military members who are granted immediate citizenship. The "path to citizenship" is something that has been dreamed up recently by the liberal Democrats to get the massive illegal alien population US voting rights ASAP.

The Republicans should never go along with that. What the Republicans should offer to longtime illegal aliens with no criminal records is a conditional immigration status that allows them to stay here indefinitely as long as they abide by US law, authorization to work, and to travel internationally. They should not be eligible for non-emergency public assistance and should not be able to bring foreign family members here.

If a legalized alien with conditional immigration status wishes to apply for permanent residence(a green card) in the future, that alien should first have to qualify for an immigrant visa just as all legal immigrants are required to do. Once a permanent resident the alien can bring his foreign spouse and children here.

Then after completing 5 years as a permanent resident, if the alien wishes, and just as all legal immigrants are required to do, the alien can petition to be naturalized as a US citizen. After being granted US citizenship, just like everyone else, that person will have US voting rights.

Remember the liberal Democrats would not be pushing their "path to citizenship" amnesty if they did not believe that only a small percentage of the legalized aliens would have an epiphany and vote for Republicans.
