Joe Walsh has launched an alternative to Karl Rove´s group, so the anti-Roves have a place to put their money. In the meantime, I´m welcoming anyone who is putting forth time, money and effort to get Republicans elected. The more the merrier. Maybe the enthusiasm will help offset the rampant negativity against any GOPers who aren´t fitting the preferred mold.

My interest is in electing CONSERVATIVES, not republicans.

Karl Rove was the mastermind behind 8 years of an administration that thought it could defeat Democrats by outspending them. I guess we all now know that is not possible.

Your definition of conservative might not match mine, #1. I´m looking for small government candidates. I have zero interest in their stand on abortion. We get killed at the polls when they begin taking crazy positions on abortion and contraception.

Carl Rove is all about Carl Rove making money and acquiring power. He could care less if someone was as intelligent as Ted Cruz, or as ignorant as Barbara Boxer. If it helped him make money or acquire power, he is all for it.

Why would conservatives take advice from establishment GOP operatives #1? The sudden appearance of Walsh is most likely an attempt at damage control.

Mr. Lord may be right about not focusing as much on Rove as the enemy but rather focusing our blood and sweat against the Republican establishment that Rove represents. Rove and his associates are now pariahs. Speaking for myself, I abhor the conduct of elites, consultants and operatives who view us as unthinking masses that can be influenced by platitudinal diarrhea.

Mr "Architect" should go consult liberals and Dims. He´s been helping them for years.

I am not a Republican, never have been. I am a former Democrat who voted for Perot instead of Clinton and then registered "no party". I am waiting for a party of Constitutional conservatives to come along. In the mean time I vote and support issues and candidates based on their Constitutional and moral positions, as best I can. Karl Rove is pure Repub at any cost. I´m sorry he has so much power and sway. Most of the time doing the right thing means you have to suffer to some degree. It usually makes you stronger.

Rove represents the Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party. i.e. the Republicans with the bucks. They are the ones who make money when they´re in power. It´s been an uneasy alliance from the beginning with the grassroots. All we get when we win is the satisfaction of doing the right thing.

I had my eyes opened to Mr. Rove a few years ago. He is a liar. He is better at lying, perhaps, than Mr. Clinton because he fools conservatives as well as liberals.

The interview with Hannity was a work of art. By the end, if I didn´t know better, I would have sworn that Mr. Rove was at the forefront of true conservative politics. We have to look at what Mr. Rove does, not at what he says. And what he does is perpetuate the rule of the Ruling Class, both Democrat and Democrat-lite. His political treatment of Sharron Angle, Christine O´Donnell and Richard Mourdock gives testimony to the true beliefs of Mr. Karl Rove.

#18, you could always join the Constitution Party (www.constitutionparty.com). It´s been around for years, although not under that name till 1996 or so, and has branches in all fifty states.

Back in 1992, the party ran Howard Phillips for president. It was he who first said the Republicans would go the way of the Whigs.

I´m always surprised and amused by people who say they´re waiting for a Constitution Party and don´t realize there already is one. It´s a very easy Google.

Rove is still seething because NONE of those he and his PAC endorsed were capable of commanding a win. The Senate´s only NEW members were elected in spite of Rove and the Romney campaign.....yes, due to Gov. Palin and the T.E.A. movement.

I guess the conundrum is that, though the Tea Party movement came about as opposition to ObamaCare and out-of-control Federal Spending, many Conservatives want to harness that energy to also include opposition to abortion, gay marriage, etc (social conservative stances). The Tea Party doesn´t want to exclude social conservatives, but social conservatives want to exclude libertarians (fiscally conservative, yet socially liberal). So when Conservatives (those both fiscally and socially conservative) run on the Tea Party banner, the Left takes advantage of the situation to label the Tea Party as social conservatives.

That´s the basic problem of a Big Tent. Your enemies use those members they don´t like to tar the group as a whole. And it has been successful (well, at least in the mainstream media).

Whenever I see KR on TV, I think of Pinky and the Brain: KR is the brain, the RNC lost-in-timers are Pinky. You know, like the theme song: one of them´s a genius, the other one´s insane.

Establishment Republicans are cowards and support Obama. Real republicans are ANTI OBAMA on all things and believe in the Constitution above all else.
