Shooter Identified FRC

Floyd Lee Corkins II, who pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to the Aug. 15 shooting at the Family Research Council (FRC), identified his target on the website of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which includes a “Hate Map” that labels the FRC as “Anti-Gay.” As the court filing’s “Statement of Offense” for United States of America v. Floyd Lee Corkins II reads, “He was a political activist and considered the FRC a lobbying group. He committed the shooting for political reasons. He had identified the FRC as an anti-gay organization

Comments:
And you will never hear the media focus on the hatefilled, leftist, anti-American SPLC because they are considered a reliable, credible source by the MSM.

Several prominent amnesty advocates, including Mark Zuckerberg and top Obama administration officials, have argued that amnesty is a civil right. The claim is, of course, preposterous on its face. Under this reasoning, every immigrant currently living in the U.S. on a temporary visa has the right to refuse to leave when that visa expires. And every household in a foreign country has the right to enter the U.S. illegally tomorrow and demand the Obama administration’s amnesty for “DREAMers” and their relatives. To say that amnesty is a civil right is to effectively declare to the world the right to enter

NBC Begins Swarm of Ads

The “Today” show, so accustomed to winning, has grown impatient with losing. Starting on Monday, NBC’s morning news program, which has found itself second to “Good Morning America” on ABC for the last 16 months, will begin what amounts to an all-out counteroffensive. A promotional campaign will be splashed across every media outlet owned by NBC’s parent company, Comcast, and will be centered on a new tag line for the program: “Rise to Shine.” Those words can cover a multitude of meanings for a show that starts at sunup, but the subtext is unmistakable: NBC wants — and surely needs —

One beleaguered politician once uttered the plaintive question: Where do I go to get my reputation back? Senate candidate Liz Cheney might ask what she does to reclaim her relationship with her sister, Mary. Today might be a start. Cheney dropped out of the Wyoming Republican Senate primary race at a time when it was clear she couldn´t win barring a miracle. In Wyoming, it turns out you could like the Cheneys but not like them galloping into the state and taking on the popular conservative incumbent, Mike Enzi. In announcing her withdrawal, Cheney cited unspecified health problems in her family. All good

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that congressional Republicans’ sole agenda is to “make President [Barack] Obama look bad.” In his first speech on the Senate floor in the new year, Reid called for bipartisan cooperation, saying that Republicans had hamstrung bipartisan efforts. “We have been able to get a few things done but we have been unable to get some important things done because the goal by the Republicans in the congress — not the Republicans in the country, but the Republicans in the congress — is to do everything they can to make President Obama look bad,” Reid said.

Michelle Obama is spending her extended Hawaiian vacation at Oprah’s “exquisite” Maui getaway, The Daily Caller has learned. While White House pool reports indicate the first lady stayed behind this week in Hawaii to chill out with friends before her 50th birthday, there weren’t many specifics. But sources with direct knowledge tell TheDC that the first lady is relaxing in Maui at Oprah’s estate with CBS’ Gayle King, Valerie Jarrett and Sharon Malone, who is Attorney General Eric Holder’s wife. Sources say she’s there for a “girl’s getaway” before the big 5-0. “Yesterday we saw bomb sniffing dogs and Maui

Minutes later Jackson followed up his congratulations with a sports analogy. “@dennisrodman ping pong diplomacy worked in China, and Basketball seems to work in North Korea. #KeepHopeAlive,” he tweeted. Even with no real scandal and only one demonstrable policy blunder, the health-care rollout, President Barack Obama had a miserable 2013 as his public standing plummeted. History suggests it is tough for a second-term president to rebound. Here are five ways Obama could defy those odds. -- Open up the wagons: Ingrained habits are hard to change, and the 52-year-old incumbent isn’t going to transform himself. Still, he may appreciate how much his insularity hurt him last year. Over the past month, there have been three important additions to the White House ranks: John Podesta, a former chief of staff in

Harry Reid’s decision to pull the trigger on the “nuclear option” in the fall may end up producing some unexpected fallout for Democrats next fall: the loss of their Senate majority. Reid sowed the seeds of his own destruction by changing the calculus in the 2014 midterm elections. Before Reid went nuclear, tea party challengers and their supporters (this columnist included) could correctly argue that winning the majority really did not matter. Since the GOP needed 60 votes to overcome a Democratic filibuster — something that was clearly out of reach — why not gamble and challenge the establishment? The GOP

So, what would you say if a quasi-failed state was willing to pay you $15 million to manufacture precision rifles for its military? I´m hoping you would turn them down, especially when this quasi-failed state is Pakistan. The chances of those rifles falling into enemy hands to be used to cut down American forces is just too great - and, that´s why one Utah-based gun manufacturer said, "Thanks, but, no thanks" to the multi-million dollar bonanza. Early last summer in her Georgian-style home near Washington’s Embassy Row, Hillary Clinton met with a handful of aides for a detailed presentation on preparing for a 2016 presidential campaign. Three officials from the Democratic consulting firm Dewey Square Group — veteran field organizer Michael Whouley, firm founder Charlie Baker and strategist Jill Alper, whose expertise includes voter attitudes toward women candidates — delivered a dispassionate, numbers-driven assessment. They broke down filing deadlines in certain states, projected how much money Clinton would need to raise and described how field operations have become more sophisticated in the era of Barack Obama.

The Atlantic‘s Molly Ball wrote: The crisis began, he says, after last year’s presidential election, when Luntz became profoundly depressed. FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The federal Environmental Protection Agency has proposed new standards for wood stoves that would reduce the maximum amount of fine particulate emissions allowed for new stoves sold in 2015 and 2019. Maximum emissions would be reduced by one-third next year and by 80 percent in five years, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported. Fine particulate pollution is made up of solid particles and liquid droplets that measure 2.5 micrometers in diameter or less. The EPA currently certifies non-catalytic wood stoves if they produce less than 7.5 grams of fine particulate per hour. Fine particulate absorbed by breathing has
