This is a serious, serious situation. We´re doing nobody any favors with dumb jokes and jerkwater comments; this is a big deal in America and we need to proceed with care and caution.
I bombed out as a Boy Scout; I and a cohort were caught stealing food during a campout at Joshua Tree and neither one of us ever made it beyond tenderfoot. But the Boy Scouts are a big deal -- an important big deal -- in the USA, and it´s crucial that this thing is handled properly and wisely.
My beautiful daughter was in the Girl Scouts all the way through her senior year in high school.
I hope cool heads and right thinking saves the day here. Every young boy should have a chance to be a Scout -- even a food-stealing dope like me.

They mention the number of boys joining Scouts has declined. Do they really think there are hundreds and thousand of gay boys wanting to join.
99.99% of boys will not want anything to do with the "Gay" Souts if they lift the ban.
As a group you will find none as selfish and self-important as Gays. In the drive to take on the trappings of "normal" they will destroy all that is good, and never see the irony of their actions.

The national leadership is looking weak, losing the PR war badly. Some lesbian lady in Ohio who was told she couldn´t be a leader was all over the news tonite, boo-hooing to CBS. I guess somebody is bankrolling her new career as a gay activist as she and her uniform-clad cohorts were at Scout headquarters in Irving. They supposedly had big boxes of signed petitions to present. BSA setting a terrible sample for the boys by hiding. No spokespeople out there. Where is the PR strategy for us?

North Korea appears to be preparing a fourth underground nuclear weapons test at Punggye-ri, the site of its previous test, a South Korean government source says. Shanghai & Hong Kong - China said it was mobilizing resources nationwide to combat a new strain of bird flu that has killed six people, as Japan and Hong Kong stepped up vigilance and the United States said it was closely monitoring the situation. All of the 14 reported infections from the H7N9 bird flu strain have been in eastern China and at least four of the six dead are in the financial hub of Shanghai, a city of 20 million people. The strain does not appear to be transmitted from human to human but authorities in Hong Kong raised a preliminary alert and said they were taking precautions at the airport.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon.
