A California preschool is reportedly shutting down after disturbing allegations of sexual activity among several of its 4- and 5-year-old students emerged. First Lutheran Church of Carson School is closing midsemester amid reports that two boys received oral sex from a 5-year-old girl on school grounds, according to KABC-TV. Attorney Greg Owen, who is representing some of the children´s families, said the sexual acts took place at nap time, at a school playground and at an outside bathroom. "It all boils down to a lack of supervision," Owen told ABC News. "There were times when teachers would let aides

It boils down to a popular culture that has already taught 4 and 5 year olds about such things.

She had to have learned it somewhere.

This is a learned behavior, and likely there is abuse going on, probably to the girl, but one of the boys could have suggested or forced the girl, so all the households should be checked out.

As a young girl, I was molested by an older brother.

Decades later, in therapy, I was describing specific actions of that brother when he was aged 12. The therapist asked who did I think was molesting my brother, as pre-puberty children only know how to molest by having it done to them.

Poster #5 and #7 are absolutely correct, that is the place to start.

A preschool in the Texas panhandle had a similar situation though it was just a matter of little girls had witnessed Mom, uh, servicing her many boyfriends. This happens more than we realize. Young children mimic what they see.

What´s the big deal? After a year learning how to properly drape a condom over cucumbers in class the logical step was to see just where all these parts fit...sort of speak...and now the parents and ´shocked´ teachers are jumping up and down and wondering just where they went wrong...

I agree with everyone else here. There ia molestation going on in at least one of the homes (or by an outside family member or friend). Or it could be as another poster mentioned...parents having sex in front of their children. I know bad stuff like this has been happening since the beginning of time, but our society is much more screwed up than many generations past--at least since the more civilized societies were formed. A lot of that is due to the glorification of perversion and the idea that anything goes is ok. It doesn´t help that mass media broadcasts it all with abandon too for anyone to see. If Beyonce were thrusting her crotch on National TV when I was growing up, we would have been mortified. Now that is considered tame and "normal". Ugh...

No way. Install a king and before you know it he’ll be issuing royal edicts changing the law willy nilly to suit his daily whims. What would be left of America then? In parliamentary systems around the globe, the head of state is separate from the head of government. In some countries, like Russia and France, the president (as head of state) is more powerful than the prime minister (who is head of government). In others, like Israel, the president serves simply as a symbol of the nation, while the prime minister runs the country. Europe’s constitutional monarchies limit their heads of

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Here is why the history is crucial. The reason that al-Maliki does not listen to Obama -- no matter what he says about reconciling with the Sunnis -- is because America has no leverage. America evacuated. Obama decided we were going to liquidate our presence. We were supposed to negotiate a Status of Forces Agreement and to leave a residual element in Iraq that would train the air force, that would train the army, that would also have special forces on the ground that would go on operations, and that perhaps most important, would mediate between the Sunnis

Everyone´s a critic. A Canadian musician claims that U.S. Customs officials seized and destroyed 11 rare flutes as he passed through New York´s John F. Kennedy International Airport last week. The reason? Concerns they were an ecological threat. The charge from Boujemaa Razgui, who is based in the U.S., has drawn widespread attention -- in the U.S., in Canada, and particularly in the music community. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, though, is disputing the claim that the agency destroyed instruments. The website Regulations.gov lists 141 regulations that have been posted by federal agencies in the last three days alone. Of these regulations, 119 are “rulemaking,” meaning they establish a new rule. Twenty-three are “non-rulemaking,” meaning the regulations does not establish a new rule. The largest group of regulations have to do with energy and environmental issues, many of them issued by the Environmental Protection Agency. The Justice Department on Friday urged Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor to stop blocking the Obamacare mandate forcing organizations to provide insurance plans that include contraceptives, arguing that a religious group contesting the law did not have a complaint. Just before Jan. 1, Sotomayor issued an injunction on behalf of Catholic nuns in Colorado who objected to the birth control mandate in the Affordable Care Act, claiming it violates their religious beliefs. Her decision at least temporarily exempts the Colorado group from the mandate in lieu of a more far-reaching Supreme Court decision on the contraception rules. The Justice Department,
