Will Boy Scouts Commit Gay-Activist-Assisted Suicide?

| In coming days the Boy Scouts of America will decide whether to violate – eliminate, really – its own mission statement, oath and law by changing its policy to allow, within its ranks, Scouts and Scoutmasters who are open practitioners of the homosexual lifestyle. Sadly, to do so would destroy BSA’s credibility as a “morally straight” organization. Such foolhardy capitulation to extremist pressure groups would spell the demise of Scouting as we’ve known it. The Prince of the Earth seeks to corrupt and ultimately destroy all that is righteous, honorable and good.

If they go the gay route the only thing left to do is to disband the organization.

to the beach location there called Gay Head. The duly inspired Scouts could design and sew a new patch to commemowate it... s/o

My neck is sore from shaking my head over the past week.
We have DOCUMENTED examples of homosexual scout leaders engaging in the worst sort of cowardly, predatory behavior and all the while we hear that persons opposed to removing any remaining safeguards against such acts are ´bigoted and intolerant.´
Are the banks that lock their vaults ´financially discriminatory?´
It´s the same thing as citizens who resent being treated like criminals at their airport of reentry to the US - meanwhile Mexican border-jumpers are lavished with goodies.
The Boy Scouts tick all the boxes for the nihilistic left: morality, youth, purity, self-reliance, etc. Socialist cretins have no role and it drives them mad.

This author is wrong to say that they are "practioners". Nobody is saying that someone who is gay necessarily practices any kind of behavior. It is a state of BEING--an orientation. But that doesn´t mean that the kid is going to have sex! Geez!

Jerry Sandusky was charged with 53 counts of... of what? Gay sex with boys. He fooled law enforcement and protective agencies for twenty years. The mindless and moniacally driven gay agenda sees every opportunity to normalize perversion as righteous. So the boy scouts must accept leaders who lust after other men´s excretory system? Only good can come from that... Insanity!

I´ve known people for decades that are homosexuals.........BUT........they don´t have an agenda & aren´t getting in people´s faces to be accepted. You would never know they are "different", they have enough personal respect to keep their mouths shut, & behave themselves in public.

Our society tells us to teach our kids to not talk to strangers, don´t play in the street, don´t stay out after dark, just say no to drugs. Anything and everything to avoid even the slightest risk to their health, and yet when it comes to gay activists, we are supposed to turn a blind eye to the safety and well being our kids, because of their political clout?

I agree with #7. Pedophilia isn´t gay or straight and no one is suggesting scouts having sex is a good idea. Even the Catholic Church embraces gay members although gay sex is considered a sin - point being they don´t reject the person, just the sin.

One simple, straightforward question needs to be answered: Are the people who are in favor of this change prepared to spend their own money to create an endowment to pay the multi-million dollar judgments that will be awarded to young boys who are sexually abused by pedophile scoutmasters? Nobody thinks that all gays are pedophiles and of course nobody thinks that all pedophiles are gay men and of course, there´s no worry about lesbian scoutmasters sexually abusing young boys but if an organized lobby of heterosexual men demanded unrestricted access to scores of young girls at remote campsites as a civil right, they´d be laughed off the planet.

Full acceptance of "gays" in the Scouts will prove to be as profitable as full acceptance of "gays" in the clergy of the Episcopal Church. When the national Episcopal convention considered appointing an alcoholic, divorced, bi-sexual (not "gay") father of two daughters who had been shacking up with his homosexual lover -- and APPROVED promotion of him to Bishop by calling him "gay", that was the end of their credibility as a religious institution. They still have the impressive costumes and edifices, but their attendance, contributions and membership have plummeted ever since. It wasn´t only the members who registered their disapproval, God did too in creating an earthquake that shook their Natonal Cathedrel to pieces that will take decades to repair.
The Sandusky example alone should justify the Scout leadership saying a loud and clear NO to this suicidal proposal.

Liberal logic 101 = Teen-aged boys won´t have sex.
Liberal logic 101 = Homo boys that are physically attracted to other boys won´t have sex if they spend a week in the woods camping with boys they are attracted to.
Liberal logic 101 = If homos can be scouts, so can 14 & 15 year old girls. They won´t have sex with the boys when they spend a week in the woods camping with those boys.
Yes, liberals ARE this stupid.

Homosexuality definition: Sexual interest in and attraction to members of one´s own sex.
Arguably, homosexuality is a tendency that (left unchecked) gives way to homosexual acts. And yes, #7, just because someone who self-identifies as ´gay´ does not necessarily equate that they engage in homosexual acts, just like alcoholics do not necessarily engage in excessive drinking. But chances are both groups usually give in to their impulses, hence the identity and the tendencies.
I give credit to gay activists over the years in successfully glossing over the lifestyle of this ´orientation´ while sweeping under the rug the associated acts and the destructive consequences to themselves, to those around them and to the rest of society.
Getting back to the crux of the issue, do we really want to formally condone men self-identified with homosexual tendencies to be in a position of authority in an organization over and around impressionable young boys?

As a 50+ year participant in BSA, both as a youth and a leader...
A change in the policy certainly wouldn´t make me flush my Eagle badge. I know what it meant - and what the organization was - when I earned that badge. (With unrelenting encouragement from a wonderful mother and father.)
However, a change in the policy would indeed make a big impact on my future participation - both as a volunteer leader, and as a "friend of Scouting" ($). And I´m not sure I could encourage my grandsons to get on board.

This article was well done. What does the BSA oath mean when it can mean different things to different local BSA organizations?
Boys in BSA already get razzed that souting is "gay". What boy is going to want to stay in what will be known as one of the queer troops? Will parents be able to ask if the Scoutmaster and/ir ASMs are Gay? What will the policy be. Will it come from the National Board or local? What 13 year old will want to share a tent with an open gay scout? Will the scoutmaster assign them to do so. We all know what will be whispered and said come morning. How does a boy defend himself and his reputation? What parent would place their child in such a situation. God help that kid if it gets out in Middle school that he "spent" the night in a small tent with a out gay scout.
It is an Evil thing that gays and progressives idiots are doing to Scouting.

#22 is right, there is a huge scandal with gay pedophile scout leaders that has been kept under wraps in the U.S. and Canada over the last two years or so. It is like, just on the heels of the gay priest scandal with the Catholic church, the Episcopal Church decided the time was ripe to ordain as a bishop an openly gay male priest whose given name is Vicky Gene (because his parents wanted a girl. Kind of like Stanley Ann´s father, who wanted a boy). It is akin to Penn State pushing for openly gay youth football coaches because not all gays are pedophiles. Such is the leadership of today.

From BSA´s perspective, behind the scenes they are frantically trying to find a way to put "lipstick on a pig." The LDS Church pumps millions of dollars into the national coffers. BSA will do a lot to keep LDS from pulling out. I am positive that LDS church officials are talking with the organization ´s leaders as we speak. BSA cannot afford to lose the tens of thousands of LDS troops.

#7 Peoiple personaly caught up in homosexuality are one thing. The subset that really really really wants to be Boy Scout leaders is another thing.
And no it´s not a "state of being" like male or female. It is a deeply habituated wrongful sexual practice mostly stemming from events in childhood.

It’s starting. Well, it’s been predicted, but what’s beginning is something even America’s low-informed might notice but only when in front of their collective faces. Banks in southern Europe are beginning to restrict access to bank accounts. That this phenomenon will make its way across the pond is becoming rather clear, but only to those who listen carefully. Our money, the dollar we once knew, is now only virtual. The dollar our country made the standard of the world, has become an X and an O repeated and created trillions of times over each day without anything to back up its value. We’ve been off the gold standard since 1972, and since then the dollar established itself as the fiat currency of the world.

Although wars have produced marvelous inventions by which to win battles, technical, mechanical and human progress expands exponentially when given the freedoms brought about by the maintenance of peace through strength. Peace provides this success only when it is felt to be reasonably long in expected duration. Although tyranny can also produce peace and prosperity, the absence of tyranny combined with the freedoms inherent in the American experiment of a democratic republic have given the world its first glimpse of long-term, true human success and happiness.

But that’s precisely what you’ve accomplished. Did I say thank you? The 2012 presidential election victory (by fact, by fraud, or by both) will be America’s decision of the current millennium. The nation is now divided. Not between or among the classes promoted by the Democrats who have routinely sorted groups by race, income, wealth, digital access, and a thousand other sub-classes in their unending search for victims to label, save, and subjugate. No, not talking about all those. Because there are only two classes now: “Christians” and “Romans”.

At times, complicated issues are most clearly understood in simple terms. Speaking before the Knesset in 2006, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu captured, in two brief sentences, that which lies at the heart of the ongoing, centuries-old Arab-Israeli conflict: “The truth is that if Israel were to put down its arms, there would be no more Israel. If the Arabs were to put down their arms, there would be no more war.” Indeed, how does one peacefully co-exist with those whose singular obsession is that one should not exist at all? Can a Jewish people who simply wish to live in peace ever do so

“…Barack Obama loves the future because that’s where all his accomplishments are.” The more things change, the more they stay the same. In an unusually objective moment four years ago, the New York Times’ David Brooks decided to put some fleeting thoughts on paper for all to see. Perhaps he was lamenting Hillary did not win the primary, while an upstart junior senator somehow had.

They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race.
