White House blasts McCain

Washington Times, by Dave Boyer

The White House Friday blasted Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who was President Obama’s opponent in 2008, for his tough questioning Thursday of Defense Secretary-nominee Chuck Hagel over the U.S. troop surge in the Iraq war. White House press secretary Jay Carney reminded reporters that Mr. Obama defeated Mr. McCain for the presidency in 2008, and said history has shown that Mr. Obama exhibited better judgment than the Arizona Republican about the Iraq war. “In 2008, as I recall, Senator McCain suggested

Captain Frances McCain Queeg probably won´t get invited to very many liberal dinner parties for awhile, at least until the smoke clears, or until he walks across the aisle to embrace his old friends there and votes against a Republican sponsored bill.

If this keeps up Chrissie Matthews will question the next nominee.

Obama will just install Hagel - Senate in session or not - some judge said it was unconstitutional - but, Obama, what does it matter?

McCain may have asked some pointed questions of Hagel - but he is still the moron who gave us McCain/Feingold and is still pushing for Amnesty. He needs to retire...

The arrogance exhibited by these clowns never ceases to amaze me. I am in awe, utterly. Now who won the race and what exactly is your Middle East policy mr. Pres ? Mr. Hagel doesn´t seem to have a clue and can´t read a cheat sheet so I hope somebody can figure it out, soon.

How can anyone be too surprised that Hagel´s hearing didn´t go to well? By Hagel being an almost complete moron and having a personality that is at least as irritating as external hemorrhoids, he has all the qualities needed by the Fauxbama regime. He´d fit right in perfectly.

This is all so sad. Barack Obama is making a mockery of the system of government that has served us well for over 200 years and we allow him to set the economy back 20 years without lifting a finger, well maybe one, in opposition. It´s time for impeachment for him and his stooges.

I don´t care what McCain does on any given day, even if his actions seem favorable at the time. McCain likes to think he´s a big player in DC and loves to grandstand issues. I´ll bet he think Rubio´s immigration plan is too harsh.

The other problem with dismissing one of obama´s noms,is the next person in line could be worse. That´s how Kerry and others are getting through. It not based on qualifications but a devil you know sort of deal.

Hagel´s not qualified for any government office, much less the most important one. Obama wants him in there to slash the military down to nothing so he can use the money for social programs which are flat broke.

Democratic Party officials believe that Kevin Strouse is exactly the kind of candidate who can help them retake the House next year. He’s a smart, young former Army Ranger — good qualities for any aspiring politician. But what party leaders really like is that Strouse doesn’t have particularly strong views on the country’s hottest issues. Immigration? Tax policy? “Certainly I have a lot of research to do,” Strouse acknowledged in an interview Thursday as he announced his candidacy in a suburban Philadelphia House district. Strouse’s candidacy reflects an emerging

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. Carbon emissions in the US were at their lowest level in 2012 since 1994, according to figures released by the US Energy Information Administration. We did it without carbon trading scams, the EPA making carbon dioxide a poison, or obeying the dictates of the Kyoto climate Treaty. We did it partly because of decreased economic activity as a result of the Obama recovery-that-isn’t, but mostly because of good old fashioned market forces; competition between natural gas and coal: Energy-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in 2012 were the lowest in the United States since 1994

It is amazing just how wrong economists were in their predictions for the number of jobs that were to be created in March. The “consensus” figure was 200,000 — a far cry from the actual number created which was 88,000. Totally “unexpected,” as usual. In one way, you can’t blame them. After a better than average gain in February of 236,000 (revised upward this month to 268,000), along with some positive numbers in housing and consumer spending, there were no doubt many analysts who began breathing a sigh of relief and believing that the long-awaited jobs recovery was upon us.

This shouldn´t surprise Lowery. When the liberals hang onto the neck of a cause, they don´t let go. They have ignored murders, rapes, wars, nuclear proliferation, and everything wrong with the world to focus in on their little area -- the horror of carbon emissions. You´d think liberals would have learned from their earlier panic about overpopulation

President Obama will propose a budget next week that embraces a risky strategy of courting Republicans for a grand bargain on the debt while angering Democratic allies with cuts to the nation’s entitlement programs. White House officials said Friday that Obama’s budget would cut Medicare and Social Security and ask for less tax revenue than he has previously sought. The budget, to be released Wednesday, will fully incorporate the offer Obama made to House Speaker John A.
