Everybody knows that ethanol is hard on small engines but most people believe it doesn´t to that much damage to car engines. This is just another liberal cause that wreaks havoc but is overlooked because of the cause behind it,the fictitious climate change lie.

Plus the higher ethanol content the lower the mileage. It´s a lose lose.

Plus it is more expensive to the government in subsidies. Without the regulation, there is no motivation to increase the ethanol content. There would probably be an optimal level where ethanol distilled from fermented sugar would be used in a free market. It does reduce knock as an alternative to higher octane.

Around here folks use marine type gas for small engines, costs more but it saves trips to the shop. The local lawn mower shop has a thriving business with repairs.

A viral email about this went out at least a month ago but is only now getting coverage, such as it is.

The ecotrolls keep trying this madcap anti-capitalist stuff like ethanol, electric cars, carbon credits, windmills, Solyndra and E15 to "save the planet", but their efforts always reveal a failure in the product itself, and a money trail usually leading directly to the Democrat campaign coffers.

Whenever you see any new product or technology that helps "the environment" or "climate change", just assume it´s another liberal boondoggle.

Put a bottle of Sta-Bil in your tank every fill-up.

Also, buy stock in Sta-Bil, it is already taking off over idiotic ideas such as this.

If we´re lucky E15 will be used mostly in government vehicles. This will help slow the expansion of government.

I know the Bushie who pushed for ethanol and his argument is pretty convincing. He knew all about the decrease in mileage, the fuel cost of production, the effect on food corn markets, and the potential for engine damage. The big positive is that it really did reduce our usage of foreign oil. I still disagree with him, as it is another gov´t entitlement program that is addicting ethanol producers. The free market would come up with a better solution, given the chance.
